Dinosaurs Live 1992 Disney MGM Studios Cindy Ryan 2022-04-19 | This was a short parade/show that we performed from September of 1991 to August of 1992, in front of the Chinese Theater at the Disney MGM Studios (now called Disney Hollywood Studios). The "Surprise" parade that led to the show was definitely a first for the parks - here is an exclusive look at me (so sorry that it is SO exclusive of others) that reflects step-off to step-down. This was always so much fun to perform! Boom-Boom!
Miss Piggy and Globetrotters - Wide World of Sports Cindy Ryan 2021-11-15 | February 2, 1991 - I've never worked so hard in such a short amount of time – I have to say, my parents were SO proud, and I'm so glad they taped it! Not because their daughter worked her costume with the likes of the "running-man", but because the commentary by the Wide World of Sports commentators is priceless. We'd been out there in the sun for a while, and there was no rehearsal beforehand, just a talk-thru ("Twiggy will come and get you, then you'll walk to the middle of the court and dance with him. Then go sit with the players on the bench"). My only question was, "what song??" When they told me, I immediately started choreographing in my head. I had to think quick. One note about this boar's head – there is no air. Ventilation – poor. Airflow – none. I was quite winded, and when I went to sit with the players, who seemed delighted and surprised, one asked, "Is that a sistah in there?!?" Professionally speaking, there is no speaking - but I was giggling and gasping for air, trying hard not to die :) From Wiki: The Harlem Globetrotters from Disney MGM Studios in Orlando. Kids of the Kingdom Target Market Tour 1985 Cindy Ryan 2021-11-02 | May 27, 1985 - We (the Kids of the Kingdom) traveled to Philadelphia, PA to perform in an auditorium inside Wanamaker's Dept Store (9-floors of dept store - huge!). It was so great, and for some reason people thought that we were celebrities performing (people thought I was Nia Peeples - I'm sure it was just the long hair ;). We danced and sang, we shopped, we ate like kings and queens! This was the "Best of Disney" show (Disney Medley) with a tag of "Disney World is Your World" at the end. Definitely one of my favorite shows to perform :) Hope you enjoy! :)
Kids of the Kingdom WDW Summer (night) 1983 Cindy Ryan 2021-11-01 | Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom - my first summer as a Kid of the Kingdom - dancin' and singin' on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle in "The Best of Disney" show (we called it "Disney Medley"). This is the nighttime version. It was a blast, we had a great cast, and it definitely went by too fast! You can't miss me - follow the long dark hair. :)
Kids of the Kingdom WDW Summer 1983 Cindy Ryan 2021-10-20 | Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom - my first summer as a Kid of the Kingdom - dancin' and singin' on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle in "The Best of Disney" show (we called it "Disney Medley"). Christmas of 1982, I performed as a Currier and Ives Doll (Babydoll brats singing "We're Gettin' Nuttin' for Christmas", and I've seen it here on YouTube somewhere) which I know helped land me the KOK gig :) There is nothing like performing to a sea of happy Disney guests from the stage - often to thousands :) You can't miss me - follow the long dark hair. :)
Aladdin Press Event Stage Show - Disney MGM Studios 1992 Cindy Ryan 2020-10-19 | This is the dress rehearsal for the spectacular press event show for "Aladdin" - a show that never happened, as it was canceled due to inclement weather :( There is also footage of the handprint ceremony as well as some meet n' greet time. Great memories :)
