Dani KayserThis is another version of the SNES Burn-in Test Cartridge (revision D, with version number 1.03) which was given to authorized Nintendo repair centers back in the 1990s. SNES9x can emulate the Mouse and the Super Scope which are also used in this test... btw, love the Zelda II music being remixed into SNES stereo :)

This video was taken from my IBM ThinkPad 380ED's Windows 95 preload software :)MACAW.AVI (from IBM OS/2 Warp 4)Dani Kayser2013-07-16 | A video file from IBM's OS/2 Warp 4, encoded in IBM's obscure Ultimotion video codec circa 1995. (Please note: I'm trying a different codec, so excuse any image problems, etc.)Chips Challenge (DOS) - Part 9Dani Kayser2013-01-27 | Finally getting through that long, tedious level (not as tedious as On The Rocks though), moving on to the Sampler, and the quick level "Glut" :) (Sorry about no audio, I promise to have that corrected for the next video... been a long time since I uploaded a Chip's Challenge part)Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Race LoseDani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Race WinDani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Automotive Race 2Dani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Automotive WarehouseDani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Automotive Race 1Dani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Alternative Energy Race 2Dani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Alternative Energy Race 1Dani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Alternative Energy WarehouseDani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Aircraft Race 2Dani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Aircraft Race 1Dani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Aircraft WarehouseDani Kayser2013-01-13 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - WorkshopDani Kayser2013-01-12 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Gizmos & Gadgets Soundtrack - Title/Building SelectDani Kayser2013-01-12 | Gizmos & Gadgets was an edutainment PC game released in 1993 by The Learning Company, intended to help children learn science, including magnetism, simple machines, and construction of vehicles.Boppin (DOS, Accursed Toys/Apogee, 1994)Dani Kayser2013-01-12 | Well, it's been months since I last uploaded a video on YouTube, so I figured why not dust off the old YouTube account?
Boppin' is a cult classic puzzle game, developed by Jennifer Diane Reitz and Stephen Lepisto and published by Karmasoft for the Amiga in 1992; a DOS port was released two years later by Apogee Software in 1994. The game contains a level editor, as well as censorship (type "boppin blood" at the DOS prompt in order to remove censorship)
A free Windows port is available at http://jenniverse.com/boppin%20main.html; however, this version does not seem to run on Windows 7.Tempest 2000 (DOS, 1995)Dani Kayser2012-05-03 | A fair port of Tempest 2000 for the Jaguar; however, the music in this version sucks. I love the music of Tempest 2000, but I'd recommend playing the original Jaguar version instead of the DOS version.Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (GameCube) - Diamond VC500 TestDani Kayser2012-04-29 | This is just a little test of my Diamond VC500 video capture device, using a GameCube with an S-Video cable. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was an enhanced port of Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast, released in early 2002 exclusively on GameCube (shame there's no PS2 or PC version, unlike for Sonic Adventure DX which had a PC version)Sad Mac ErrorDani Kayser2012-03-31 | A simulation of a Sad Mac icon, made using Mini vMac and the classic Macintosh sounds. Not intended to represent any actual Mac model, past or present :)Another reason why Knuckles was never in Sonic 1: Marble ZoneDani Kayser2012-03-21 | From the hack of Knuckles in Sonic 1 by Stealth, we see another possible reason why Sega thought Knuckles in Sonic 1 was a bad idea. Being able to climb those big walls in Marble Zone was definitely too gamebreaking :PNES Test Cartridge - newer version?Dani Kayser2012-03-17 | This seems to be a slightly newer version of the NES test cartridge issued to Nintendo Service Centers, as you can see by the support of Start/Select on controller 2 (keep in mind that Famicoms didn't have a Start/Select on controller 2). :)NES/Famicom NTF2 Test CartridgeDani Kayser2012-03-17 | This is a video of the NTF2 test cartridge, issued to Nintendo service centers back in the 1980s to diagnose NES problems. Listen to the cool Atari 2600-style sounds :)Sonic 2 Vanadium 2012 - WIP VideoDani Kayser2012-03-05 | PLEASE NOTE: This hack has been cancelled as of July 2012, and is no longer in development.
A work-in-progress video of my Sonic 2 hack, Sonic 2 Vanadium 2012. I plan to only include minor changes to the already-present levels (such as adding S3K-style giant rings to them, etc.), but also includes ports from Sonic 1, 3 and Crackers (with new and original layouts).
Features: - Working Super Sonic monitor (gives Tails a continue instead, as there is no Super Tails) - Water Shield (incomplete, still needs graphics) - Centiseconds on HUD - Expanded level select (similar style to S3K)
Future: - Knuckles as a playable character - Changed music tracks (including some from Sonic 3D Blast) - Game save screenKonami Logo - PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16 Blue LaserDani Kayser2012-02-18 | At long last, the PC Engine/TurboGrafx 16 version of the Konami logo is here... with a blue laser and stereo sound. Taken from Gradius for the PC Engine, 1991.Sonic 1 WTF LAME - a bizarre hack of Sonic 1Dani Kayser2012-02-18 | In 2009, GerbilSoft and Sonic 65 made an absolutely bizarre hack of Sonic 1... where every monitor is replaced by a Wetflame monitor, and breaking one ended the game and displayed a message. This, and OMG THE RED RINGS by Fiz are quite similar, at least IMO :)Adventures in Hercules: Windows 3.0Dani Kayser2011-09-01 | The Hercules graphics card was the first third-party graphics standard developed for the IBM PC in 1982, by Van Suwannukul, founder of Hercules Graphics Technology. It was a very popular standard for Windows 1.0 users; however, Hercules did not support color. The resolution on the Hercules, 720x348, was two pixels smaller than the implied pixels for the Monochrome Display Adapter (720x350), and also resembles the Apple Lisa from 1983.
Adventures in Hercules stars: - Chip's Challenge - JezzBall - Free Cell - Dr. Black Jack - Rodent's Revenge - Golf - Pipe Dream - SkiFree - TetraVex - Taipei
Unfortunately, I ran out of time to cover any of the other games in Hercules mode, so look out for a possible Adventures in Hercules II :)Pokémon Blue - Part 8Dani Kayser2011-08-21 | Whoa, it's been half a year already!? Anyway, we go off to Route 3 and fight a few trainers, including the infamous "shorts guy" and the Bitch with the Jigglypuff, and learn a bit more about Team Rocket :)Full Tilt Pinball 2 Opening (Windows 95)Dani Kayser2011-08-21 | Full Tilt Pinball 2 was the sequel to Full Tilt Pinball, and was released for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. Somewhat rare today, however, this game had three tables: Mad Scientist, Alien Daze, and Captain Hero.Prevue Guide / TV Guide Channel Emulation (Edited Version)Dani Kayser2011-07-18 | (OAD: August 25, 2010) Prevue Guide was a cable network which ran on the Amiga platform from 1988 to 1999, and originally started as the Electronic Program Guide in 1981. TV Guide purchased Prevue Channel in 1999 and the Amiga platform was abandoned in favor of a Windows-based system (the yellow grid). This is running under WinUAE Amiga emulator using the actual Prevue Guide software.
Due to unforeseen circumstances regarding Sony content on YouTube I have chosen to upload a version with replaced music of Amiga chiptunes.
Also, check out the Prevue Guide forums at http://ariweinstein.com/prevue where you can learn more about how the Prevue Guide software (both Atari-based and Amiga-based) worked. :DSuper Mario Kart - 50cc Mushroom Cup (Peach)Dani Kayser2011-07-15 | Well, I figured it was time to start something new on YouTube... so, with my recent Mario Kart Wii addiction I thought "why not the first one?" and I decided to start playing through all the cups of Super Mario Kart (in 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc... remember, no Mirror Mode yet)
Also, look out for a weird glitch in the results of the final race. Wonder what could have caused this?Mario Kart Wii - 50cc Mushroom Cup (Aiptek capture test)Dani Kayser2011-07-10 | OK, this is just a test of my Aiptek A-HD+ 1080p with its AV in port... fed the output of the Wii into a (rather old Panasonic) VCR and began the recording. Note that it's a little messed up towards the beginning but it clears up after getting into the main game itself.
Needless to say, I actually did pretty well this run (only did the 50cc Mushroom Cup as a test of the device), and actually got triple stars (using Wii Remote + Nunchuck) :)Super Solvers: Gizmos and Gadgets (Windows 3.1)Dani Kayser2011-06-25 | Another edutainment game from the Windows 3.1 days, this one involves the building of automobiles, aircraft and alternative-fuel vehicles, and features Chimps who steal your parts and use them for their own vehicles (however, you may turn them off if you desire... I personally leave them off)
Although bananas are useless when playing without chimps, really...Sierra Logo (1993)Dani Kayser2011-06-17 | Sierra logo from 1993. Taken from Hoyle Classic Card Games (DOS version)Number Munchers (DOS)Dani Kayser2011-05-25 | A classic edutainment game by MECC, back in the early 1990s... I'm sure you all remember this one :)
And is it just me, or does the DOS version sound much crappier than the Macintosh one I'm more familiar with? (before you ask, I was only making a demo video, not playing this game seriously ;)Pinball World - Full VideoDani Kayser2011-05-21 | Previously uploaded in multiple parts, I just wanted to see how long I could go ;PThe Lost Videos: Final Fantasy VI (2009)Dani Kayser2011-05-18 | Going through an old backup, I discovered this video of me playing the very first part of Final Fantasy VI. Wonder why I didn't upload this to YouTube though... might have been planning a playthrough of FF6 at the time but decided against it, perhaps.Wheel of Fortune for Sega GenesisDani Kayser2011-04-10 | (OAD: April 5, 2009; reuploaded April 9, 2011)
At long last, the complete Wheel of Fortune game that I played for Sega Genesis two years ago! For the longest time it had to be split into two parts due to the then-11-minute limit, but here it is in its entirety. Did pretty well this time, might revisit this or another version eventually. I pick up $5450 during the main game and a vacation during the bonus round!Pinball Fantasies - Stones n BonesDani Kayser2011-04-10 | Pinball Fantasies is one of the best pinball simulators on any computer, and is available for AGA-based Amigas and IBM PC compatibles. It's the second game in 21st Century's line of pinball games, which includes Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies, Pinball Illusions, Slam Tilt, Pinball Mania, and Pinball Dreams 2.
(Reuploaded from original now that I can upload videos longer than 15 minutes :)Pokémon Crystal: Ghetto Pirate Edition - Part 1Dani Kayser2011-04-09 | Weirdest pirate Pokémon game I've ever seen... thanks to DeliciousCinnamon who got me into this :)
This is almost like Pokémon: Ghetto Edition (with phrases like "DRUG BAG FUCK" :P) and it sure does seem like it. Finally got back into uploading (finally can upload over 15 minutes :D) and what better to start it off with this? :)
(Disclaimer: I actually like Kesha, just that was the first name that came into my mind for some reason...)Chips Challenge (DOS) - Part 8Dani Kayser2011-02-21 | Finally, we return to Chip's Challenge. Cipher has always been one of my favorite levels in the game (if you look at it in a map viewer, you'll find three passwords to later levels). Lemmings is easy if you're very careful (try to get all of the fireballs into the water pool), while Ladder is a pretty interesting level. I'll come back and try Seeing Stars again another time, as I'm pretty much lost this time. :(Chips Challenge (DOS) - Part 7ADani Kayser2011-02-06 | ...and we finish up On the Rocks. :)Chips Challenge (DOS) - Part 7Dani Kayser2011-02-06 | And here we go... On the Rocks, one of the levels that takes a long time to beat. Messed up a couple of times at the beginning, but after that I pretty much got through it perfectly :)
Since this took over 20 minutes to beat, I had to split it into two parts...Chips Challenge (DOS) - Part 6Dani Kayser2011-02-05 | Only one level this episode, as I'm not certain I'll be able to complete the next level (On The Rocks) before running out of time. Stay tuned for part 7: On The Rocks!
