Blaster Master NES - Rock Remix Music Video - Living Illusion Living Illusion 2010-02-14 | Electronic rock metal remix of the Blaster Master Theme from the Nintendo (NES). Blaster Master is a platforming and run and gun video game released by Sunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is a localized version of a Japanese Famicom game which was released on June 17, 1988. The game is the first in the Blaster Master series, and it spawned two spin-off titles as well as two sequels.Here's the music video for Living Illusion's hard rock cover of the Blaster Master Title Theme from the NES game. To be more precise this would be the prologue theme to Blaster Master. This game was an awesome one from the Nintendo Entertainment System. I wasn't actually introduced to it until a few years ago by Classy Man over at The Game Heroes, I know it's crazy... both that I've never played it, and that I still play NES games. This is a little different than the other covers we've done, this time around there was a lot of electronic instrumentation to keep the eerie and haunting feel from the original version of the song. Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors is an unreleased video game that was planned for release initially on the Sega CD in April 1995 and to be followed by PC and 3DO versions later that year. The game stars the comedy-magician duo Penn & Teller. The game is composed of several minigames and an adventure/platform game starring Penn & Teller. All the minigames, with one exception, were made for the sole purpose of enabling the owner of the game to fool their friends by many different means, designating the games "scam minigames" and virtual tricks.Our hard rock metal remix is of the title theme from the Sega CD version of Desert Bus. Living Illusion - Studio - Guitar Tracking Living Illusion 2009-06-15 | A video of shots at the Beta Sound recording studio from the guitar tracking sessions. Kevin Hoskin (Our Engineer) and Nathan Kidd from Long Way Down (Our Assistant Engineer) set up the mics and teched the amps for the sessions. We recorded the amps so loud that we blew up the Marshall Plexi. I'd say we used a lot of amps, but I think the video speaks for itself.

Kevin (Our Engineer) and Bill George the drummer from Portal spent their Friday night at the studio teching, tuning, and seating the drums for the Saturday recording session. They set up so many microphones on the drums, I swear there was over 24 mics set up... and some weird mics I had never even seen before (what the hell is a ball and biscuit mic!?). Needless to say their hard work paid off and the drums sound sick!
