Having a lot of fun with the Fire because because it's NOT touch sensitive (I'm not used to that uniformity and it's freeing, and mixing it up is good). I'm using it in Note mode here set to play a particular scale. That's the other big reason I like this thing - those sales and just kinda drumming on it but finding some good notes and getting into a groove. I can drone away for a long time on the same loop. Timing on the fire: In this video, there's an LFO on that lead subtly cutting it off, or side-chaining. That helps the lead duck in and out a bit, turning the output audio into something more in-time with the beat (even though you can still hear imperfections, they're more subtle using this trick). Totally recommend trying that to really get you flowing in case you want some help with timing and you're playing lots of notes.

Before I filmed this I set up some automation on the filters with the arp sound. It's fun to do that filter stuff live but there's something about playing the bass at the same time that leads to a more natural feel (to me) as I'm playing it.If you'd like to see more, be sure to like/comment/subscribe (it makes the new algorithms happy and it's always super-encouraging to me)! With a little water and 4-5 hrs, it comes back to life, so I set up a camera and condensed that footage down to the length of the song. Some people think the footage here is reversed (I can see how you'd think that), but it's not. They sell these plants at Lowe's. Buy one and don't water it until it looks thirsty, then water it like you normally would and see what happens. Plants are awesome. Some have asked about the "low notes" that come out when I hit those two keys up top - those are guitar effects built in the patch and for whatever reason, Yamaha put those effects on the high keys. I made the background beat using FL Studio. I start the beat by hitting the space-bar on my computer keyboard before I play on the synth.PS. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point). The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet.
