The ZOOM R20 multitrack recorder features a dedicated synth track with multiple synth voices you can use to round out your projects. The track can be controlled by MIDI devices through the USB type C port. Here I demonstrate how to connect MIDI keyboards or a Teenage Engineering OP-Z to control the synth track of the R20. The touchscreen also offers some advanced MIDI editing features, like the ability to edit individual notes.

At the end of the video I provide some of my thoughts and opinions on the device and suggest what kind of musician might be an ideal user for the R20.
