i am well over a decade late with this, but hello i have finally read the shatter me series and finally get the aaron warner ✨hype✨. i'm ngl, i feel like the early 2010 dystopia YA phase was a collective hallucination because while reading this series it felt so similar to my own ocs from that era that it probably pushed me to continue reading and make this, lol.

if you haven't heard of the shatter me series, it's essentially what you would expect from a YA 2010 dystopian romance novel ft. rebels, x-men-y powers, love triangles (??), and the apocalypse, where one girl's touch is lethal. through this she has to decide if she'll become the Reestablishment's - the apocalyptic new government - weapon or a warrior.

as for this vid, i tried to throw in some plot lines and vibes from the original trilogy for warnette, but mostly just vibes ✨🔪 will say, as ahem, cringe as this series is, i did fly through most of it and now have added yet another morally grey blondie to the roster. i am only done the first 3 books, however, so a lot of the other spolier-y things i don't know the context for is left out, haha.
