I'n this video I will build 2 zinc tops for a restaurant. They want me to make all the tops for a low budget - is it even possible? What is the lowest possible estimate without getting burned? I will explore these questions in this experiment, where I will make only 2 tops and time the whole process. I have a new method for substrate construction that I will explain in this video. Advantek is not reliable anymore and using it has not been successful to solve the glue problem due to shrinkage. So not only is this a low budget job, I am making it more complicated and costly because the engineering needs to be improved or else I will have a whole restaurant full of puffy zinc glue failures. Nothing is easy about gluing metal onto wood. If they want it done right, they will have to pay a minimum price. that price was determined and then later rejected and then the restaurant owner changed his mind so now I have to make a dozen more of these. This job might not be the most profitable but at least I will be getting some much needed exercise and also good product exposure. btw check out the new colors for 3/4" low profile cutting board feet
