Banner Challenge - GoGo Getaway July Cyber Crop Forever Scrapping 2023-07-15 | (Ad) Hi everyone, it’s the July GoGo Getaway cyber crop today over in our FB group and my challenge is to use a banner on your layout. Here is my take on the challenge. I’ve created two large banners to fill nearly the whole page which I’ve then added my photos to and embellishments. The photos document a recent trip to the river to enjoy a chilled afternoon relaxing with a picnic. Be Original/ Vicki Boutin Print Shop/ GoGo Shopaway Forever Scrapping 2023-01-27 | (ad) Hey everyone, today I'm sharing with you a mixed media layout I've made using the fabulous Print Shop collection by Vicki Boutin, for @gogoshopaway .I've used a textured Bazzill card stock background and then used a distress ink pad dragged down the card. Because the card has embossed dots all over it the ink catches different bits creating texture on my background. I have then fussy cut some florals from the Flourish paper to create a column of flowers above and below my photo. The photo has been backed with vellum and I've also added a few torn vellum pieces to the background. I have then embellished my page using both chipboard stickers and other stickers from the sticker packs. I loved the doodled border and note pad edge stickers as they added more detail and the black helped the page pop off the page a bit more. For this layout I have focused on using the blue Pattern Play paper. I love the fact that there are so many ways that it can be fussy cut, so have cut five chevron shapes from it. These have been placed around my photo so as to draw your eye to it. I have then decorated with both fussy cut and floral ephemera. The background is a mixed media background created using my own stamps and watercolours. I’ve then embellished using chipboard and phrase stickers. You Are My Sunhine/ Bella Boulevard You Are My Sunshine collection Forever Scrapping 2021-10-03 | I am all into colour at the moment and making the most of bright, happy summery layouts before autumn reaches us.This collection was just perfect for this happy photo of my daughters and even gave me the inspiration for its title. I have created my own cloud background using Salty Ocean distress oxide ink and a Peartree Cutfile. I have then created my own sun rays and used the super cute ephemera from the collection to create my embellishment clusters. August Memories 4x4 Mini Album/ CVS Sunkissed Forever Scrapping 2021-09-11 | [ad] Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a good weekend. 😊I just wanted to pop by and share this 4x4 mini album I made to document our family holiday last month on the Isles of Scilly.I have used one of the super cute WRMK 4x4 mini albums from @lottielovespaper and used the 5 page protectors that it came with as well as making my own pages. I love the fact that you can mix and match the pages, use the page protectors to make shakers and then have interactive/textured pages for the ones you create yourself! I decided to stick to mainly one collection for my album to keep some continuity through out it. I have been secretly hoarding most of my CVS Sunkissed collection that I got from the shop so it was the perfect excuse to use most of it up before summer is over! There are pockets, interactive fold out pages, an envelope and tags dotted through out the album. With stitching and shaker pockets, Bramble Fox and Peartree Pieces for those super cute finishing touches. Oh yes, and one of the adorable heart charms from the new PE Bungalow Lane collection on my tassel charm! I hope you enjoy looking at all the pages and my flip through video. Sweet Treats/ Lottie Loves Paper Sketch Challenge Forever Scrapping 2021-07-29 | (ad) Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you a 12x12 scrapbook process video for @lottielovespaper for their weekly sketch challenge.I have used the beautiful Garden Party Collection by Maggie Holmes to create this page documenting my love for afternoon teas. The collection is beautiful, full of super pretty florals and cute cupcakes, cake stands, teacups and teapots!!! Just made for a layout like this!I have used a patterned paper to frame my page. The white cardstock background has been trimmed to 11 1/2" square and then I have folded two opposing corners over and secured with a staple. These have helped to create the two triangle corner pieces on the sketch as well as give my page some added layers that i can then build my embellishment clusters around.My photo is central to my page with two 3x4 woodgrain paper on each side. I have then extended my embellishment clusters from the top and bottom corner across the diagonal and towards my photo to help pull the layout together. Iced Coffee/ GoGo Getaway July Cyber Crop Sketch Challenge Forever Scrapping 2021-07-17 | (ad) Today I'm sharing my take on the July sketch challenge for the @gogogetaway Sketch ChallengeI have stayed pretty true to the sketch and used the beautiful @echopark Coffee and Friends collection.To start I picked two photos that I have trimmed down to 2 1/2 x 3”, that way I was able to keep the white space between then left and right embellishment clusters. Behind the photos I have layered some strips of patterned paper along the bottom side and distressed the edges. These have then been placed on top of an almost circular piece of paper, that has been distressed and inked, to help ground the clusters. I have repeated this circular element on the right side of the page to but on a smaller scale. I also added some faux stitching around the edge of these pieces for some added detail.The page has then been embellished with lots of fussy cut florals from the collection, some super cute @bramblefox perspectives and a sprinkling of sequins.Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you like the sketch and page.Happy scrapping, Vik xxhttps://linktr.ee/Foreverscrapping
My Candy Girl/ Lottie Loves Paper/ Bella Boulevard Forever Scrapping 2021-07-13 | (ad) Hi friends, today I'm sharing with you a layout I have made with the super fun and bright 'My Candy Girl' collection by Bella Boulevard from @lottielovespaperI have taken my inspiration from a class taught by Anna Komenda at a recent retreat. My background paper is some of the gorgeous Vicki Boutin pre coloured mixed media paper, this has helped to provide some background detail whilst also helping to 'ground' my layout.I have cut strips of various widths from the striped paper in the My Candy Girl collection and then woven them together before adhering to my page, I love the detail and texture it adds. Because the background is now quite pink!! I have matted my photos with yellow to help them 'pop' off the page. My embellishing is quite simple as I didn't want it getting lost so again I have gone for contrasting colours....yellow, green and blue....with some of the adorably cute ephemera pieces, fussy cut hearts, trinket and puffy stickers, and some stamped hearts.I hope you enjoy the video and maybe it might inspire you to try something different on your pages.Happy scrapping, Vik xxhttps://linktr.ee/Foreverscrapping
