Cleaned up and re-lubricated a turntable that my uncle gave me a number of years ago.
It’s a Zenith MC9025, typically found within a number of compact all-in-one type stereos that were sold around the time. I actually can’t seem to find one that is on a wood plinth like this.
It has a simple changer mechanism below compared to others which are older. This was in pretty good shape, but did need some re-greasing and minor adjustment.
Still has the original Shure cartridge and stylus. My uncle informed me that he never replaced the needle.
It’s a belt driven turntable and clearly states so on the emblem. Not sure if that’s supposed to be a good thing or not, I would think that you just wouldn’t advertise that its belt driven as a major feature.
Anyways, just listening to some vinyl tonight.
