Now and then, I get an inquiry as to whether or not I've played Skyward Sword since I covered Fi's theme over a year ago. I did receive the game mere days after uploading that cover, and ever since I've wanted to work with this melody! There was something very striking to me about the music in Lanayru in general, but particularly the shack buried by time.
Live instruments used are the same I used for Fi - Low whistle, pennywhistle, oboe and English horn. The middle minute or so is a take on "Lanaryu Sand Sea", which is pretty safe to assume as the longest oboe solo in the franchise.
I'm not sure which of the composers wrote this one, Hajime Wakai, Shinbo Fujii, Mahito Yokota, Takeshi Hama, or Koji Kondo, but Zelda music does not belong to me!

Remember Elder-Geek.coms video series, 25 Games For My Son? Theyre back with a new episode centered around Chrono Trigger, and I was honored to be asked once again to contribute to the soundtrack. This time around the album includes a wide variety of styles by a bunch of incredibly talented musicians.
Schalas theme is pretty often covered, and with good reason, but at least I dont believe anyones used actual oboe before, haha. Im glad I had a reed that could manage pitchbending without sounding totally awful...
Live instruments here are oboe, English horn, flute, piccolo, and sho.

Not to be confused with Project Destatis The Other Promise, uploaded last year, this is a straight-up cover of Roxas theme. I generally use it to track my progress on flute, but really I just love it so much that I could cover it all the time and never get tired of it.
The English horn towards the end is playing Ventus theme, right after the flute hints at Xion. Because.

Hi everyone! Hope youve been well. The reason my channel has been so quiet lately is because last month I, along with David Russell and Sebastian Wolff, released a 22-track, nearly two-hour long, fully-licensed, album of Kingdom Hearts orchestral arrangements called Project Destati: LIGHT. Its the result of an incredible amount of work and were so happy that Volume I is out into the world!

I could cover the entirety of Okamis soundtrack and never get bored, but this was one of the tracks Ive wanted to play with most of all. The theme of the Celestials is an ethereal, wistful piece that you only hear in one area of the game as you head towards its final battle. I mixed in a few other nods to related music from that chapter, including Resets motifs, and my favorite cue in all of game music, White Light Majesty. (Plus, I got to use the shinobue I bought in Tokyo a few years ago, haha)
This is my annual contribution to Multiplayer Charity! This years remix album is titled RESCUE, featuring the animals of video games (Okami, Star Fox, and more), and all proceeds go to benefit the Wolf Conservation Center in New York.
