Celebrate Everything: Banda FM commissioning ceremony Invisible Children 2013-10-25 | The community of Banda in the Democratic Republic of Congo recently held a commissioning ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of a 300 foot, Invisible Children supporter-funded, FM radio tower. The first of its kind in the area, it will be used to transmits warning signals and "come home" messages over 100km to members of Joseph Kony's LRA. This comes at a crucial time, as there's been increased LRA activity in areas surrounding Banda.Thank you to the many Invisible Children supporters around the world who have donated and fundraised for this incredible project. LRA poaching elephants to fund operations Invisible Children 2013-06-07 | Since 2005, the LRA has been poaching elephants in Garamba National Park and using the elephants' ivory to fund their operations and continue killing innocent civilians in central Africa.
