Archbishop Fisher has led the Archdiocese of Sydney since his appointment in 2014. He is an emeritus professor at Amherst College, where he began teaching in 1966. He is the author of seven books, most recently Constitutional Illusions and Anchoring Truths: The Touchstone of the Natural Law (Cambridge University Press, 2010).
