MacroPixelAfter pausing my uploads for the longest period of time in the history of my channel, I am back with another video! In this video, I showcase a sandbox game that I created, talking about both how the game works and the pain I went through while making it. I based the game off of Geometry Dash assets and game mechanics, and you can play it for yourself! This took way too long to make...
As a side note, I'm no longer developing updates to the game.

MediaFire has been giving some people problems with scam popups. If you're not techy enough to understand what a scam popup is, then don't try to download the game. Better safe than sorry.
When it comes to the Mac/Linus exporting, it appears that it was originally more complicated that I originally thought it would be. However, it anybody knows anything about developing a Mac application from a Windows machine, then feel free to contact me about it. However, I'll still keep the link here for the Windows users who don't want to install the application: http://www.mediafire.com/file/eu1d16gf6d7bto3/Geometry_Box.zip/file
Also, as mentioned in the announcement at the end, this will be the last Geometry Dash video I upload to this channel. I'm pretty bored of Geometry Dash as a whole, and I'd rather be able to branch out with my content rather than limiting myself to the tiny box of content I have thus far. Even if you're not that fond of non-Geometry-Dash videos, I'd still recommend you stay around at least a little while to see the type of content I'm making, but you're free to do as you wish :)
* Yes I used two songs with the same name. No it was not intentional. I just liked both songs, decided to put them in the video, and then realized they had the same name :)

So, I decided to make a simple platformer game to ease back into game development. As with a lot of my projects, things got a little out of control, and I ended up with more content in the game than I originally planned. But enough rambling, I'm proud to release Momentum, my platformer game made with my own custom Python engine.

This led me to mainly use iron tools instead of the enchanted netherite sets I used during normal playthroughs. Once I got back into doing survival realms with my friends, however, I kept using iron because I was used to it and it was a lot cheaper. Over time, I noticed that I actually enjoyed the game more with iron tools than I did with diamonds. In this video, I'll attempt to provide some reasoning as to why I think doing such a playthrough can be a more immersive experience.

This video is actually a remake of a video I made back in March, which is now unlisted, but still available to watch if you want to.
I'm still working on the interactive demo on my website, but I figured I'd rather just release the video before it's finished rather than delaying it further. I'll try to finish it soon!
TABLE OF CONTENTS: • (0:00) Intro • (0:43) Broad vs Narrow Phase • (1:31) AABB Collision Detection • (3:35) SAT Collision Detection • (5:45) Solid Objects
CORRECTIONS: • (1:23) Correction: AABB is usually classified as a broad phase method, and is often used in conjunction with SAT. (Thanks to @landru27 for pointing this out!) • (1:43 and 3:39) Clarification: This doesn't mean AABB can't be used on objects that aren't non-rotated rectangles; it's relatively easy to wrap any object in an axis-aligned bounding box for the purposes of AABB. The tradeoff of doing this is that the results of the test won't be completely accurate (since the bounding box will contain some amount of empty space), which is why it may be desirable to use SAT or another method after using AABB to narrow it down. (Thanks again to @landru27)

I start off by explaining how randomness can either come from the real world or be generated using math, and then give an overview of the mathematical algorithms that can be used to do it. Although this was a video I’m pretty happy with, I wish I could’ve made more visually appealing graphics (because most of them were only numbers) and had a more consistent-sounding voiceover (because I was sick for part of the editing process). There wasn’t much I could do though (._. )

As somebody who's firmly on the pro-pixel-art side of this debate, I thought it would be interesting/informative to review why pixel art still deserves to be used in video games, despite the jumps in technology from the 1980s to the present day.

Although it’s obviously lacking in most features from the original game, it still has terraforming, an inventory, crafting, chests, tools, weapons, armor, turn-based combat, worldgen with caves and structures, and a final boss. I made the project in Python, and it’s open source, so feel free to visit the GitHub repo below.
Unfortunately, I’ve been having difficulties in creating a web port of it. If you know a bit about Python/JavaScript and think you might be able to help, I’d appreciate if you visited the following link and read a little more about the problem: github.com/MacroPixel/Terrible-aria#web-port
* In the video I said this was an EXE, but it’s actually a ZIP with an EXE inside of it. You'll simply need to extract it into a folder, and then tell Windows Defender to take a chill pill.

He did the building, and I did the command block coding. In the video, I showcase the map's features, and we both talk about the ways in which we adapted the game to Minecraft.
Unfortunately, as much as I'd like other people to play on this, the command blocks are too buggy/unmaintainable for me to release this map to the public :(

I think it's obvious enough that this wasn't an actual game but rather the magic of editing. This video is a good example of how I'll be experimenting with different types of content, so it's be helpful to know whether people like this kind of video or not :)

This video is the long awaited sequel to my "Changes I'd Make to the GD Level Editor" video. In it, I discuss things I would change about the level editor, but in a fashion where I spend less time than before on each change, thus allowing me to get to more changes in the video. Since the video is almost 26 minutes long, this is a new record in video length for me :)

In this Geometry Dash video, I listed some things about the game's level editor that I would change. These weren't the only things I would like changed, but they were the more interesting ones and ones that I don't see widely discussed. I'm sorry it took me so long to release this video; the delay was mostly due to constraints on audio recording.

Even though 100 subs may not seem like anything to other people, it means a lot to me. It's nice to know that 100 people enjoy my content and want to see more from me in the future.
So, if you're wondering what this video is, I took most of my uploaded videos and used them to make a synopsis of my channel thus far. I took moments that I thought were funny and stuck out to me. And, if you're wondering "Who's this ItsCWill kid?" that was my old username.
Also, it's kinda awkward that most of my subscribers are from GD, but most of my content up to this point has been Minecraft. Just be aware that I've played other games in the past, and I will in the future. But for now, GD seems to be working, and I'm enjoying it, so why not continue it? :D
