(Spooky Touhou Skeletons)For this arrange, i wanted to make something that balanced a modernisation or "remaster" feeling, while still respecting the feeling of the original, so i tried my best to make the instruments "feel" like they still have that "impact", it's hard to describe, it's like a feeling thing, but basically, i really love the original, so i wanted to do it justice while still implementing some of my own elements into itI'd say that Jake Kaufman was also a huge inspiration for me here, particularly his work on Ducktales Remastered, the way Jake balanced modernisation and respect for the originals really felt amazing back then, and it still does (go listen to his Transylvania arrange!)In terms of wacky new elements, well, there's a guitar here, i played it myself actually! It wasn't easy, but thankfully, i went for a more "digital" style, so editing the guitar notes manually was perfectly fine, that way, they fit the original's chiptune vibe more with this kind of "digital" feelingAnd, yes, dubstep, that's right, i spent like 5 hours on that part with Serum haha, but it was so worth it in my opinion, surprising people with dubstep is just the funniest stuff ever when it comes to music, especially if people hate dubstep, that makes it betterAlberto Jose Gonzalez is a very good composer, i hope that he will come back and make more music to be honest, i think he would do really well in the indie scene! (...And also, Tim Follin, please, you too, come on (i know it's a lost cause though, but have you HEARD Plok Beach???
