Gina K. Designs 2022-11-17 | Today, I showed you a fun way to use your stamps and stencils with clear embossing powder to add sparkle and shine with Deco-Foil and Fancy Foils! This technique gives you a more distressed, antiqued look and it's such a fun way to get a little sparkle and shine without a huge investment!
For a crisper look, you can always use Deco-Foil Transfer gel through your stencils, however, this is a great way to add foil when you are in a hurry and don't have time for gel to dry. And, it gives you another fun way to use your stamps to customize your foiled cards.

Starry Night Christmas Card

Gina K. Designs 2022-11-03 | Today, I created a winter scene using ink blending and silhouette stamping! I love the rich deep colors of this blend. It creates the perfect winter evening sky. I shared lots of tips and tricks for getting an even blend and a few tips on stamping larger solid images as well. By thinning out white acrylic paint, I was able to create the look of stars or snow that didn't take over the whole card.

Two-Step Poinsettia with Colored Pencils and Gamsol - 5 Minute Cards

Gina K. Designs 2022-10-28 | In this week's 5 Minute Cards video, I show you how easy it is to use the two-step poinsettia stamp set from the new Winter Foliage Card Kit! I took it up a notch by adding a little colored pencil and Gamsol blending and then layered it onto a brick wall stenciled background to give the whole things some depth. Once you set up your stamps on your Misti, it's easy to do all of the flowers and then you can finish it up by adding the stems. This set up makes it easy to mass produce this card and make lots of beautiful two-step stamped poinsettias for the holidays and all winter long!

Easy Paper Piecing with Die Plates

Make Your Own Rainbow Foil - No Machine Required!

Gina K. Designs 2022-10-21 | In today's 5 Minute Cards Video, I show you how to make your own rainbow foil! You can use any colors to do this! And you don't need any foil machine to create this one! I used the Gina K. Designs Sparkling Silver Fancy Foil and a few Copic Markers to create my foiled piece, and by tucking it under a cover plate cut out, I didn't need a laminator or any foil machine to get all that sparkle and shine!

Making Holiday Cards with Scraps!

Gina K. Designs 2022-10-20 | Today, I made two holiday cards using nothing but scraps for all of the focal image parts! By using scraps from my scrap drawer, I was able to create both gifts and ornaments! I created my own patterned paper by embossing background stamped designs on colored card stock, and I made my own gold card stock by using embossing powder for a perfect match! Then, I used the new Holiday Toppers die set to cut bows and hangers to complete my card. You can make lots of these elements and use them for future holiday cards, and make sure to create extra gift elements to be used on birthday cards and for other celebrations!
(I completed the second card after the live.)

Gina K. Designs 2022-10-06 | Today, I showed you 5 ways to use embossing folders and a few extra ideas as well! These embossing folder techniques are a great way to create beautiful backgrounds for your cards!
I showed you these techniques: Letterpress, Perfect Pearls, Wax Paper, Two-Tone with Embossing Ink and Carved Wood. You can substitute metallic pastes for perfect pearls to get a similar look and don't forget to check out my past video on the Split-Embossing Technique that I shared and talked about at the end of the video.

Using Layering Dies in Reverse!

Cardmaking Techniques with School Supplies!

Gina K. Designs 2022-08-17 | I promised you I would do this so here it is! School supplies are everywhere and they are pretty cheap right now. So, I bought a few favorites from my childhood and I shared a bunch of fun techniques you can do with them! This is a great way to stamp with the kids or grand-kids but keep the good stuff for yourself! It's also a great way for beginners to get a few coloring supplies, and these supplies are great for traveling while keeping your artist quality supplies safe at home. Cardmaking Outside the Box - Changing it up for the season

Gina K. Designs 2022-08-11 | Today, I used a stamp set that was designed to be a modern poinsettia and turned it into a coneflower! The beautiful Star Flower stamp and die bundle is perfect for year round. I've used it in bright spring and summer colors to make it a daisy and in bold reds for Christmas. Today, I created a purple coneflower by trimming the die cut piece with some scissors. Don't you love a stamp set that can be used in any season?

Pink and Gray, Clean and Simple - 5 Minute Cards

Gina K. Designs 2022-08-04 | In today's 5 Minute Cards Video, I show you a beautiful way to use die cuts and ephemera in a simple pink and gray palette. I also use the brick wall stencil and by using gray, instead of a traditional brick red color, it appears more like a cinder block pattern which blends into the background and doesn't take away from the focal images. A pattern like this is the perfect way to ground your die cut pieces and they feel less like they are floating in space.

Multi-color Inking with Ink Cubes and Chunky Stamps

Gina K. Designs 2022-08-03 | Tonight, I shared a fun inking technique using ink cubes and chunky stamps. This technique is beautiful on butterfly stamps but will work on flowers, leaves and other stamps, as long as they aren't line art style images.

How to Re-ink an Ink Pad

Gina K. Designs 2022-08-01 | I was reinking my ink pads today so I thought I would make a quick video with my iPhone on my process. You can use this technique for any linen or felt ink pad. It's quick and easy and keeps you ink pads nice a juicy! I hope this helps!
