CMBOfficialThis song is part of our study on the rock history. Out of the late 60's era we selected a Jimi Hendrix song as most relevant. A tribute to this great artist who passed away at the end of that period.
This is another great cover of CMB. It may look as a lack of modesty, but we learned from experience that many cannot evaluate correctly a performance without a few hints. Stefan's vocal and solo part are high class. Olga rocks the bass part on keys as a pro. Cornelia wasn't feeling well, but her performance at the end is just awesome (as always:-). She is not yet 7.

It will have a few good songs...
Our site: childrenmedievalband.wordpress.comAbyss dont look into - by CMBCMBOfficial2020-08-01 | We make this song public now - better later than never. It's been released last year on our EP album 'Abyss'. For all our friends, this is a 'Hello', we've been inactive for a while, as a band, but we'll be back soon this year. To make it short: we've been really busy with other stuff - Stefan finished his first year in college, Olga won an essay contest in the state of Maine, Cornelia got a 2nd place, etc... More details will be written on our site, in a while.

It is another step on the road of forging a new style - 'Tense Medieval Rock', representative for these 2020 years. The song 'My Parallel Universe' contains some of the important ingredients of the new style: calm tension, medieval flavor and original melodic lines. Also quite noticeable are the young drummer's complex fills executed during the chorus parts.
CMB: Stefan - guitar, vocal Olga - keyboard Cornelia - drums
It is a "medieval rock" EP with four songs. Original melodies and arrangements, also the lyrics hold a deep meaning and the songs are played with soul, albeit our mixing and producing (as usual) aren’t top notch.

Our site: childrenmedievalband.wordpress.comCMB - Keine Lust (Rammstein cover)CMBOfficial2019-04-29 | This is a COVER (remake) of Keine Lust by Rammstein! We do not own the song. We decided to use English lyrics for at least one reason: to make the R+ masterpieces more popular to English speaking audiences (most of which are trapped by the mainstream stuff). We also changed the song's meaning and made it into a protest song against liars (dishonest politicians, fake news, etc). So we are actually quite proud of our lyrics. Here they are:
I feel kinda-lost x 4
I'm feeling kind of lost because of liars I'm kinda lost and burned by fires I always want the truth to hear But all these liars have no fear It's too much loss being lied again I'm lost not knowing whom to blame
Is this a world of shameless lies? I'm kinda lost a truthful guy Sometimes I'm mad filled with disgust I don't like those who I can't trust - rah
I feel kinda-lost x 3 RAH! I feel kinda-lost
I'm traveling and lost - guided by deceivers The paradox of liars does brain fever When travelers meet a liar They lose their way and land on fire
Is this a world of shameless lies? I'm kinda lost a truthful guy Sometimes I'm mad filled with disgust I don't like those who I can't trust
I want the truth to hear But all these liars have no fear When I see their dirty tongues //out Then I feel hate and get mad, still so calm Me rest calm...

Due to personal issues we did the recording of 10 new songs, in a hurry. Still, this is going to be a major breakthrough – at least that’s what we hope. We know that the songs are very original, we’re developing a new style. Hopefully the huge crappy mainstream monolith will crumble a bit after the release of our swift and smart new compositions. Boy! We’ve got to brush up on our modesty…
Okay, the songs are good, but the recording was rushed and details were missed. And it’s expected that the mixing and mastering is going to be a pain. So we don’t know for sure what the final product will sound like. Anyway, at least enjoy and spread around this video. It's a good concept.

One of our live performances during this summer (2016). In the midst of all the media lies, here is a song about a simple truth: "we all need money". We think this is one of the most representative rock songs. Great riff, steady beat and rocky vocal. Written by Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford in 1959. A few years later Beatles made a strong version, with one of John Lennon's best vocals.

Far below the quality of Rammstein videos, but it's our original work and has certain value.
Lyrics End of road Our journey's now stopped We've come a long way Thought the sea will part But now we lost heart
While walking we hoped That the sea will part.. but There is no divide And our rise is blocked It's end of the road...
R. We have reached End of the road And wait For the sea to part
Not much can be More confusing than this Far from what we thought Something is amiss. And there's no return
While walking we hoped That the sea will part.. but There is no divide And our rise is blocked It's end of the road...
R. We have reached End of the road And wait For the sea to part
It's so sad That we have failed And no Miracle's unveiled.
Still we hope The sea will part And we'll Safely walk out free

To those concerned that we don't look 'happy': Hey, Stefan here, thanks for your concern, but I'm almost 14 and nobody's forcing us. I'm the leader of this band (whenever my sisters don't give me a hard time) and we definitely don't like the 'shake-butt' disco or the 'bad-ass' evil metal many other kids enjoy. We like this song because it's clever and intense. Otherwise we like a lot of Beatles, which most kids don't enjoy (and that's one big reason why we don't look too enthusiastic). Anyway, we would be happier if more people would buy our first album "Treasure Underground". Thanks.
Lyrics: Stefan sang from memory in German (broken?), but the chorus was translated in English, for the sake of the american audience:

Talking About You (Chuck Berry in 1960) and Du Riechst So Gut - which is not the Rammstein's latest, but it portraits their style quite well.
History is painted with blood Too much hate and killing around Thus children learn the world is bad But still has wonderful things.

The truth is we are not so crazy about the quality of the sound. It's under the standard of a professional album, and we simply consider it as "100% homemade". But still, we are confident this is a good thing and we hope you will appreciate the efforts put into this. We expect criticism, but we are already aware of all issues, and have rated ourselves, on a scale of 1-10: - Recording - 2 (due to low budget equipment) - Mixing - 4 (inexperience) - Mastering - 5 (except three songs done by others: Mark Aviles and ADG Mastering) - Performance - 7 - Lyrics - 9 - Originality & non-conventional - 10 - Avoidance of FE (frivolous-evil) - 10 Since we like to exaggerate a bit :), we dare to say that this is one of the most original albums ever made by a kids' band.Treasure Underground - by Children Medieval BandCMBOfficial2015-02-04 | The first song from our first album (youtube.com/watch?v=PIpzWJusEbo). At the USACD Convention in Palm Springs, California - we've been invited there to play for the cocktail dinner party.
The sound on most of our recordings is bad, more or less. Besides the cheap instruments, we don’t have good recording tools, no experience, no patience and no time to do it professionally. But CMB is a great young band, at least they can entertain people live. This vid is a proof.

This song - Charts - is a reaction to how unfair the charts are towards great bands like Stranglers or Rammstein. We couldn't find any number 1 hit written by bands like these. Most popular bands have been already forgotten by their former fans. Superficiality? Something to think about.
Lyrics: We've listened to a lot of rock From screamo back to beat There are so many epic songs But none of them ever became a hit.
We learned how to select the best And play it with our hands That's how we got to know that Rammstein's One of the greatest bands.
Ein, Zwei, Drei We learned from our friends R+ Count 'und' try To play it on guitar
Ein, Zwei, Drei We count like our friends R+ They won't lie But truth may seem bizarre.

The kids decided to sing Alter Mann in English. The translation is quite loosely done, for better vocal expressivity - but the meaning, the message and the surreal imagery are all there. Lyrics are below:
The old man's holding his hand fan And combs the water, makes it flat, He's waiting for the midday's wind And then he moves his fan a lot.
I cast a stone and make a splash, The water wrinkles and the old man Sadly flattens down the waves And then he said, before he died...
Re: The water is your mirror now, When smooth don't laugh at your reflection, See how much fairy tale is left for you And pray to lose not thy salvation.
I cast a stone and make a splash, The water wrinkles as in pain, And then I take the old man's fan And sweep the water flat again.
And all around there's only sand And high above the sky's so far Sometimes I miss the old man's presence, But I remember his wise lesson... Re, Re
On this translation of "Alter Mann" we searched for a certain sonority of the words similar to Till's intonation, while keeping the meaning intact. The original Rammstein's lyrics were not betrayed.
