She's one of the judges in this RP, but I'm really happy with how the investigation scene turned out and I literally could not have done it without her! The suspects are led to a separate room and are interrogated one-by-one. Henry is annoyed by the whole occasion, and paranoid about the occupants of the house. He's not interested in the detectives investigation and rather go home.He's approached by another suspect, Dr. Otto Rott, asking after Elizabeth. Henry informs him that Elizabeth was slapped by Katrina when the body was found. Otto is understandably upset at the news, but remains calm, not wanting to be implicated in the murder.Henry's paranoia leads to him asking about Otto's background, and is informed that Otto isn't/wasn't friends with Charles, relieving Henry, who finds anyone sucking up to Charles as suspect.Soon after, Henry is approached by Maua and they check in on each other. (Since they were together when the body was found, they seem to have a mutual trust for each other.) Maua attempts to flirt with Henry, but unfortunately, a combination of paranoia and disbelief causes Henry to completely miss her advances.Soon enough, Henry gets called in for investigation. It goes badly. Henry ends up handing over his gun, remaining calm for the duration of the interrogation, until it's revealed to him that Katrina brought him up. Katrina spun a tale of an affair Charles had with Alyce. Outraged, Henry shuts down the story, telling the detectives that Alyce had a bad encounter with Charles, causing her and Henry to cut the man off. Mr. Green is happy to have found a motive, though Mr. Scarlett feels as if they maybe went too far, before dismissing Henry.Henry is led to his room for the night, but not before he stops and asks Maua for her name. She stumbles over saying it, making her name at first sound like, "Meow." Henry is endeared by this, but still he is too dull to her advances.Henry is informed later that Rusty and Adrian were dismissed with clear alibis, leaving the others stuck for the night. The stormy night moves on and Henry leaves his room to grab a drink. He spots Nico and Arabella sneaking through the halls. He follows them to outside of a study room. He goes to confront them but is shushed by Nico as they all listen in to the occupants.It's revealed that Sophia and Alexander have found something while searching through the study. The three listening in are revealed by Mr. Scarlett, who storms in and confiscates what Sophia and Alexander found. Henry gets a glance of it and sees that it's Charles' Will. What did those two want with it? And were they behind the murder?Late into the night is when Henry finally realizes that Maua was flirting with him. Yes. My Sweet Prince - Genie X Cassim - MEP Part FlameLiberator 2024-09-28 | Since I was asked, I'll share the story for this brief part.Cassim harbors feelings for Genie, but has buried them away after overhearing Genie tell Aladdin that he can't fall in love with mortals. Later, Genie lightly flirts with Cassim, causing the latter to coldly brush him off. Cassim explains that he overheard Genie earlier and that he is hurt since he truly does love Genie. The both of them are surprised and a bit emotional about Cassim's confession. Genie explains to Cassim that he told Aladdin that because mortals live such short lives in comparison to him. I wasn't able to color the last three minutes of the round and do touch ups, but this is a motherload of a round. Eleven minutes of drama. Thanks you guys for being so patient with me! This summer has been so busy for me, but I really loved plotting with each of you! Please go watch and support their channels, too!~STORY POINTS~Thales, finds that despite the time he spends with Mayra, he sees her more as a friend then anything else. Later he finds that she, and Kalis, have been harassed by members of nobility. Thales and the other guests come across a portrait of the king and queen. There's a tense atmosphere left behind after Kalis spots it.After the tour, Thales returns to his room along with Robin, but finds that the room has been absolutely stormed through. Everything seems to be intact, aside from his most recent letter to his grandfather, which had embarrassingly been about Aeliana. (He isn't sure why his writing led to him talking about her, but on later reflection, he starts to see how much he's appreciated his time with her.) Thales realizes that Robin's room might be in a similar state as he rushes over to help. But before he can enter, Robin quickly turns him away, not in the right state of mind for help or comfort. Feeling bad, Thales does leave him alone, though keeps his offer for help open.The next day, Thales and Robin overhear a couple of nobles talking bad about the guests, particularly the ones of commoner blood. Robin is quick to shut them down, while Thales sarcastically turns their comments back on them. Seeing how ready Thales was to defend him, Robin apologizes for his earlier brash attitude, though Thales easily accepts the apology knowing that Robin didn't mean to be rude. (They're besties.)Thales has an interview with the Queen. He decides to be brutally honest with her about his arrival, seeing as he does care about the royal twins and their family, and doesn't want to stay here under false pretenses. To his surprise, the queen allows him to remain in the palace as a guest, seeing as he has made an effort to be kind and befriend Mayra. (Didn't have time to show here, but she also gives him her blessing to court her, if he wishes.) After asking why she's so readily accepting of commoners courting her grandchildren, the Queen reveals the history of her daughter and son in-law, that her daughter gave up nobility to pursue a farmer boy, much like Thales, causing the queen and her daughter to become estranged. Having regretted the estrangement, the Queen has learned and accepted that love can come from anywhere and that it's not risking loved ones over a misunderstanding of the concept. Thales, not having known this history, is surprise but gains a much deeper respect from the royal family after learning it. He promises to keep the story to himself.As it pours rain outside, Thales spots the royal siblings escaping from the palace. Seeing as the other guests insist on following them, Thales joins them to see where the royal siblings had planned to go. They find them in the forest by a lone-shared grave. It's revealed to be the gravesite of their parents, one they visit from time to time.The royal twins return to the castle with the guests, as everyone dries and warms themselves from the rain. The group starts to share stories together, as Thales shares about a festival he went to where he snuck away with the mayor's daughter to his family barn to make-out (and probably more), earning the scorn of the mayor of the town.Thales checks in with a glum River, who reveals that the season has been hard for her, but it's been steadily getting better. He reassures her that everyone here enjoys her company, and that she can always rely on him and their friends. After touching his hand, in a show of gratitude, Thales is afraid she might have feelings for him, reminding him of the time his own unrequited feelings to Hussein. He doesn't want to put River through that and decides it's time he confronts his own feelings. Sanctuary || Eduardo Ochoa - Round 2: Across the Desert FlameLiberator 2024-07-21 | Just like last time, I learned a lot of new things when putting together this round. This is for Nana Wakagimi's (@nanawakagimi1208) RP Sanctuary!I want to thank LadyoftheSea (@ladyofthesea5285), ZosSea (@ZosSea), and Nana Wakagimi (@nanawakagimi1208) for all plotting with me. You guys are the best! Eduardo is happy to have some trusted friends on this journey!Also shout-outs to the others! We all had so much planned for this round, so I wasn't able to flesh out scenes with some of the other characters like Johnny, Vance, and Kaulua. Happy to have chatted though, and if I make it to the next round, I'd love to plot!~STORY POINTS~Eduardo reflects on the most recent trauma he's experienced, aside from the whole red eyes and being pursued by Kaidan's soldiers incident. Several months prior, Eduardo lost his father, to what? Eduardo isn't even completely sure. But it left him lost and confused.His father told him when growing up that Meds can't fix everything, but that loyalty to Kaidan would always have things pull through. So, why did his father have to die? Why did he have to have red eyes? And why is he being treated like the enemy, when he has been nothing but loyal?Cut back to the present. Eduardo makes it out of the range of the Kaidan soldiers. Gabriel and Lucy are not so lucky, much to the chargrin of the group.Ariana informs everyone that they will be pressing forward to their next destination, Sanctuary. As they catch their breath, Jakob checks in with Ed to see if his injury was truly healed. Impressed, Ed shows off the handy Med work and congratulates Jakob on his good work. Jakob does vice-versa, having knowledge on Lifter powers. They talk about their worries for Kaidan, but both agree that all they can worry about is moving on now. At least, for the moment.The group treks through the desert. Eduardo takes up most of the cooking each meal, happy to be helpful in a way that he's familiar with. Kaulua and Johnny help him prep meals during a couple of the nights. (Ed keeps an eye on the latter, wary of his dicing skills. But he's happy to help him learn.)One night, Ed gathers the courage to speak with Ariana. He sees she's knowledgeable on Kaidan and believes that she'll be honest with him. She happily accepts answering his questions, but is surprised by the more open-ended questions being asked. Ariana isn't exactly sure herself why Kaidan has been executing Mutts, she isn't even entirely sure if they are doing it for the greater good. But she sympathizes with Ed and his sorrow for the fact that, just like how he can't heal physical injuries, he can't seem to fix the situation that they are in now.Ariana talks about surviving for her loved ones and that resonates with Ed. He'd continue pushing on to live, for his loved ones, if nothing else.The next day, storm clouds roll in and the group witnesses rain for the first time. Eduardo is surprised by it, but mostly neutral to the phenomena. Vance, during the storm, stumbles across an object, unlocking it to reveal a time capsule.The group view the contents of the capsule, as Ed starts an audio recording that the group listens to. The audio reveals an assortment of lore about Alchemists, and possibly Kaidan.While checking the capsule, the group is warned of an assassin, who soon attacks the group. The assassin is a Med who heals any wounds afflicted to him, making Ed aware of his seeming invincibility. He sweeps up a cloud of sand to stun the assassin, hoping to give his friends a fighting chance. It's revealed by Ariana that the assassin is her brother, Chester, just as much as a surprise to her as it is to the others.A portal opens behind the group and everyone makes a break for it. Eduardo drags back Vance at one point to put a halt to his fighting (not featured due to time), when Cyra is caught in an electric net. Eduardo is stunned, but goes immediately into a protective mode as he rushes over after Jakob helped remove the net. Eduardo easily lifts Cyra, rushing her to the portal as she fights for consciousness.Maybe Ed couldn't save his dad, but he can save Cyra. (Fire and Ice; One loves Charles, while the other loathes him.)Henry makes it to breakfast, where he is joined by Maua on his side and the other suspects. The detectives arrive to speak at breakfast.Arabela and Chaeri had been allowed to go home, but the others are still suspects of the murder.Detective Scarlett reveals the will he had found the other night, one that Henry bore witness to finding, and reads the will to the suspects.Katrina is enraged to hear she inherits nothing and throws a glass bottle that was brought out. Henry pushes Maua out of the way of the assaulting glass, as the two share a look. (And Henry has his first blush.)The Will reading is wrapped up and the detectives leave the subjects to themselves, warning them not to leave the premises.Snow approaches Henry and the two share a chat, revealing that they know each other. Snow grew up around Allie, and is one of the fortunate few that isn't on Henry's bad side. They talk about Allie, the Will, and their thoughts on the investigation. Snow is the first to suspect Henry's budding feelings, but leaves it at that.Henry then joins Maua for an early morning drink. He decides to stop beating around the bush and asks where they stand. (Not wanting to jump to conclusions about how she feels.) They both come to understand that they're mutually interested.Henry's paranoia rises and he seeks out why Maua would be at the White's mansion. One of the worst possible scenarios rears its head, Maua could be Charles' daughter. Henry spirals, but quickly buries the feeling away to not alarm Maua. He then shares everything that's led up to this point with her (leaving out that Allie could be Charles' daughter, too). Their convo wraps up, Henry calls Maua "Kitten," referencing her slip up the day before and proceeds to get a pillow to the face.Henry heads to the West Wing and overhears a conversation between Elizabeth and Carla. He is soon joined by Otto, who also listens in. The two men step away to chat about what they heard. Otto is quick to reprimand Henry for snooping, but the two end up coming to a mutual agreement.
