The creative team have done a great job in building up the character and they even created an EP for her called the Skye Riley EP.This features song titles like Grieved You, New Brain, Just My Name, Blood on White Satin and also Death of Me...which we'll discuss as we get into the breakdown.-------Now the movie follows the same rules established in the first film and the short it was based on Laura Hasn't Slept. Released in 2020 that saw Laura Weaver telling her therapist about a recurring nightmare in which she's stalked by a demonic presence.Constantly smiling this made her become an insomniac and she developed a fear of going to sleep.Hence the title.The short was widely praised and then they developed it into the first feature length film with the actress and character of Laura being the victim that started off the movie. Now in that we followed Rose Cutter and learned about some elements of the entity.

I'm a massive massive fan of the franchise and it felt so good returning to Alien world.However the franchise has been in a funny place over the last couple of years with there being a constant stop and start of projects. We were initially supposed to get an Alien sequel which was going to be directed by Neil Blomkamp. This would actually work as a direct sequel to Aliens and remove Alien 3 and Resurrection from the timeline.Its something similar to what we saw with Dark Fate where they'd build up this scrap the lesser received sequels.However due to Ridley Scott working on Prometheus and Covenant he ended up blocking that film with the studio. You might notice that his names attached to this as producer which likely helped with moving it along. What was a big thing that got this off the ground though was Disneys acquisition of Fox. Not only did were they looking at their popular franchises but they also needed content for their streaming service. Prey of course got pushed into production and Romulus was gonna follow a similar path. Initially intended to be a film for Hulu I think Preys success showed the studio what they had.

Throughout she goes from a bright eyed innocent defender of the family to someone whos willing to take the all out.It's such an amazing turn and we begin during the episode where we left things last week with Oz and Sofia being held up. We start with the camera in a puddle and then pan up to see the pair being held.Now we have see this camera set up used before and it's how we started things in episode 1. There we began at the iceberg lounge with wet footprints laced along the floor. This is a year that saw the release of Madame Web and somehow I think this is actually even worse. Throughout this video I just wanna go through my thoughts other wise I think my heads gonna explode.Phooo.So let's begin...and obviously yeah if you have another point of view then drop it below.Now the first thing I wanna talk about is the fact that this movie not only undoes the first film but it also makes the title completely pointless. In that movie we saw the rise of the Joker and watched as Arthur Fleck took on the persona. Civil unrest followed him and the city was brought to its knees by people following his lead. In this it led to the death of the Waynes and in doing so Joker, created Batman.It was the perfect origin story that made the Joker not only sympathetic but also a hero of his own story. Though you cant condone his actions, I think Philips did a masterful job of painting out how people are often made monsters because of the world around them.Gotham was brought down to its lowest point and in this the two extreme sides were born. We had Joker who was the ultimate force of chaos vs batman whos the ultimate force of order.Now one of the biggest issues I have with the movie is the fact that Philips couldn't really get out his own way. Though the first film was all about I'm going to become The Joker...part 2 is sort of I'm going to become Not The Joker.I do wanna go more indpeth on the plot later on but with this being an ending explained I thought I'd start there. For a bit of context though Arthurs put on trial for his crimes in the first film. We close out with an explosion rocking the courthouse and Arthurs able to escape. Running back to the steps from the first film Lee breaks up with him because she realises he's not really the joker. The entire film has been about his two sides and the dual identity that exists within the character.She had fallen in love with the Joker and breaks up with him because she realises he's not. I kinda saw this as being a flip on the classic Lois Lane Superman thing where they go back and forth on whether she'd fall in love with Clark if that was all he was.

After making a quick video at the time I've now had the chance to go back and rewatch it frame by frame to bring you all the hidden details. This will also contain all the comic easter eggs and making of trivia that brought the merc with a mouth to the MCU.These productions and films always take a lot of sponsoring and product placement and that takes us into today's sponsors owww.-Now we begin as always with the Marvel studios title but this time there's some brand new insert shots. This includes deadpool with footage from his first movie being used.We also have a clip of the Marvels there as well with that film bringing several X-men characters into the MCU. That released after Multiverse Of Madness which also featured Professor X. So we know that these X-men exist in other universes but for some reason theyre not in the MCU. I do wonder if that'll be brought up in universe and there could be a reason behind it that they bring into the plot.Lastly we get a shot of Deadpool in the M doing the come here fingers. Later on he does this in the car and slowly over the top we fade into him humming the theme.

It's later revealed Sofias in a therapy session which is being held by Dr. Julian Rush.Played by Theo Rossi, there's a lot of questions about who he really is. Now it's possible that he's the villain Rush who typically shows up in Green Lantern comics.Hes known for his superhuman strength and it may be someone he morphs into down the line. For now though he's a therapist and it's possible that he worked at Arkham alongside her. He escorts her in the vision which seems like its brought on by a hypnotic trance. This is done through using a red light which is supposed to help with depression.

Now I think it's difficult to downplay how much of a phenomenon this was at the time. Breaking the box office by becoming a billion dollar hit, it was a massive shakeup in the comic book fandom.This was in a time when trying to mimic the marvel formula was something DC were desperate to do. They'd reshot and re-edited several of their movies in order to give them a much lighter tone. However this showed that there's still a lot of love for these kinds of films which is how the movie went into production.According to the wiki Joaquin Expressed interest in starring in a low budget comic character study all the way back in 2014. Being a big name had given him several opportunities but he'd always turned down roles in comic book properties. Pheonix was approached to star in the MCU at one point but he'd stated he didn't want to be locked into a character. So no Pheonix playing...Dark Pheonix.However something chipped away at him and though he'd been pitched starring as the Joker he didn't think it was right. Pheonix felt it had been done and Romero, Nicholson and Ledgers portrayals had been iconic.Now while this was going on Philips had the idea to do a dark take on a character that took things away from the formulaic status quo. Though he'd been asked to direct several comic book films he just didn't land on a character that interested him.However the idea of doing a Joker movie chipped away at him because there were so many ways you could take it. You see, Joker was known for not having an origin story. He even tells his in the Killing Joke but then says at the end he prefers an origin story that's multiple choice.That books influence weighs heavily over this film though with both depicting Joker as an aspiring standup comedian.

I found that super interesting considering that, in the last episode, Teen told Agatha that his mother had passed away. So unless he’s comparing his mother’s death to “sleeping”, this is kind of contradictory to one of the few things we know about this kid. Maybe we’re looking at a scenario where, whatever spell was placed on Teen in the past caused his brain to completely make up scenarios as to where his parents are…when those particular parents do not actually exist? Throughout this we're gonna be going through the easter eggs, hidden things you missed and the making of Trivia.As I said on our breakdown for The Batman I've got pretty much all the big batman graphic novels from over the last 85 years. So come with me as we journey back in time and talk about Batman 89.you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight (1:31:50)Now in order to talk about this film where have to talk about where stuff was after the 1966 show. That of course got it's own movie too but Batman Fans felt like something was missing. A comedy that was camp and comedic it was a big departure from the work in the comics. Personally I've always loved the 66 show and its something I grew up watching as a kid. I love how when you're little you take it seriously cos you don't really understand the jokes and all the characters play it straight. When you're older you finally see it for what it is and it works brilliantly in both aspects.However you can see why fans were desperate for something that was closer to the comics. Now as with a lot of tv shows, The Batman series was subject to ratings and viewership. After popularity waned the show was cancelled but there was still a lot of interest in the rights.CBS wanted to produce Batman in Spaaaaace but this ended up thankfully getting mothballed.However in 1979 the rights were purchased by two people who wanted to take the character back to his roots. This was Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan who wanted to make a dark and serious version.

Back in the day, Mr. Incredible used to wear a blue supersuit…possibly as a nod to the patriarch of the Fantastic Four Mr. Fantastic…whose name Mr. Incredible is parodied off of. The entire Incredibles Family is, of course, loosely based off of Marvel’s Fantastic Four…but with a few changes. Elastigirl has Mr. Fantastic’s stretchiness while Mr. Incredible possesses the strength of The Thing. And of course, Violet has the powers of the Invisible Woman. Dash’s superspeed is the only powerset that isn’t related to Marvel’s first family BUT I definitely feel like Dash’s design and personality was for sure inspired by Johnny Storm in some way…especially with how he lovingly teases his sister like Johnny would with Ben Grimm. During the superhero interviews at the beginning of the movie, Mr. Incredible laments about how he wants the world to stop being in peril and to just stay saved for a while so he can have a bit of a break…but that would, of course, prove to be a bit of a lie because Bob would eventually long for the days of superheroing once the act became illegal. Mr. Incredible’s sense of self worth is tied to him fighting criminals as a superhero…so, in a way, Mr. Incredible doesn’t actually want the world to become a supervillain-free paradise. I feel like this is one of the greatest comic book movies of all time and to me it's a crime noir classic that's one of the dark knights best stories. Taking inspiration from several comic books and movies, throughout this video we're gonna break it all down.I'm lucky enough to own pretty much all the major Batman Graphic novels and there's a tonne of nods to the library laced throughout the moive.Though we've covered this film before and some of the easter eggs are the same, overall this is a much more in-depth look.Obviously there's gonna be heavy spoilers so head off like Gil Colson if you don't want to know. We won't be talking about anything from the penguin except how that final shot of him shows up in the trailer. But beyond that if you're good to go so with that out the way, let's get into the Batman.-So as I'm sure you remember, this movie was originally gonna be starring Ben Affleck. Multiple movies were planned with the actor which would all branch out from the back end of Justice League.The film closed out by teasing DeathStroke who was gonna be the villain of the film. Snyder actually filmed this after reading the script thinking it would be a good way to set up that movie.Announced in 2014 both Affleck and Geoff Johns worked together on the script.Expected to start filming in 2016 Affleck would direct it as his next project after Live By Night.

A great way to kick off the new season. Fans and critics alike seemed to agree. There was only one aspect of the episodes that drew significant criticism: the handling of Blood and Cheese, and the death of Prince Jaehaerys. From the commentary I saw on line, opinion was split there. The readers of FIRE & BLOOD found the sequence underwhelming, a disappointment, watered down from what they were expecting. Viewers who had not read the book had no such problems. Most of them found the sequence a real gut-punch, tragic, horrifying, nightmarish, etc. Some reported being reduced to tears.I found myself agreeing with both sides.In my book, Aegon and Helaena have three children, not two. The twins, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera, are six years old. They have a younger brother, Maelor, who is two. When Blood and Cheese break in on Helaena and the kids, they tell her they are debt collectors come to exact revenge for the death of Prince Lucerys: a son for a son. As Helaena has two sons, however, they demand that she choose which one should die. She resists and offers her own life instead, but the killers insist it has to be a son. If she does not name one, they will kill all three of the children. To save the life of the twins, Helaena names Maelor. But Blood kills the older boy, Jaehaerys, instead, while Cheese tells little Maelor that his mother wanted him dead. (Whether the boy is old enough to understand that is not at all certain).

Peeling back the skin of this movie actually revealed a lot of hidden things and some deeper symbolism that makes it even more terrifying.Now the film is of course based on the book of the same name which I re-read for this breakdown. It offers a couple of extra insights to the characters that make them even more sinister than what we see on screen.Though the film is packed with them the first creepy detail I wanna talk about's in the poster. Voted by Premiere as being the 16th greatest movie poster ever made it has a subliminal image within it. If we zoom in on the pattern on the moth's head we can see that these are women arranged to look like a human skull. This is actually Salvador Dali's In Voluptas Mors and it plays into the themes of the film.Buffalo Bills is fascinated with Moths and Butterflies, especially their transformation.Bill wants to become a woman and thus women being on the Death Head moth has a deeper layer to it.This Death Head marking is also a reference to Edgar Allan Poe's The Gold Bug. The bug in that story is supposed to signify change and redemption with the character Legrand believing that it's gonna alter his life for the better.

I know it seems like I've been putting this off for a while now but this is actually a film I have quite fond memories of. This was a movie that released just before my birthday and me my mates all went to the Odeon in Newcastle and had a blast. The film messed up towards the last half hour and they had to restart it from the mid point of the movie.It was a weird experience as retreading a lot of the movie we'd just watched made it feel more predictable and so when we got that twist it was even more shocking. Thats always the first thing I think of when I think of this movie and even now I feel like its the franchises biggest gut punch.Killing John Connor in Dark Fate was but...for a different reason.Either way from what I remember of the film this was basically a remake of Terminator 2. Going back through it though I found a lot of things to like and it's probably my fourth favourite film in the franchise.We are gonna be breaking it all down but first I wanna quickly shoutouts #JusticeForCharlie from friend of the channel Trevor Weller. Part 1 was about parents with this being seen in the three main characters. Sarah was the Mother and Kyle was the Father but The Terminator was also a father as well.

The Netflix show goes deeper into the concepts of humanity, stopping fate and the price of it all. I really enjoyed the series and it feels like a throwback to classic like Ghost in the Shell and others.There’s a lot to talk about and in this video we’re gonna break down the ending and talk about the easter eggs.Now firstly I wanna go through that mindblowing ending and how we got there.Much like The Terminator, a Terminator is sent back in time while a human resistance soldier is also sent back to protect the target.Eiko has been sent back to stop what we think will be the death of Malcolm Lee. We open with her taking out a Terminator who has a mini gun just like the T-800 used in Terminator 2.By downloading the data from it, she learns that Skynet is going to send a T-800 Terminator back in time to 1997, the same year as judgement day. The T-800 is the model that featured in that film with the t-100 in 1 and the T-850 in 3.Right from the off you feel the authenticity of the series with the opening being akin to Kyle Reese’s vision in T1.Now the series does slightly alter our understanding of time travel in the universe. The first film was a perfect loop with Kyle being the sperminator that would go onto create John who would then send him back so he could be created. The Terminator would in turn also create skynet by being destroyed and leaving behind it’s arm. Terminator 2 broke the loop but then 3 revealed that Judgement day could only be postponed and the loop continued.

The dark shadowy figure is hidden in the film and in this video we're gonna break it all down.I love doing these kind of videos and one of our biggest breakdowns on the channel was talking about everytime Pennywise was hidden in the background of IT. There's also all the hidden ghosts in the haunting of hill house and Longlegs has a lot of hidden details too.I've rewatched the film with my note pad to pick out all the devil in the details and haven't been this fixated on him since I watched Wandavision.-Unlike that though he's really here and in this video we're gonna go through every sighting. I've had to boost the brightness for a lot of these appearances as the figures pretty well hidden in the movie. People on the internet so far have managed to find 10 which many believe ties in with the bible verse about the ten crowns. However I believe that I've found an 11th which I'll talk about at the end of the video.I don't wanna waste any of your time so let's jump into the first confirmed appearance at 16 minutes.In the scene we catch Harker looking through some photographs which the character has splayed out on the floor. As we cut to a wide shot of the room we can see the figures there to the left hand side. The demonic figure is like a black shadow with goat like horns protruding from the top of his head.The devil is described as sometimes appearing like a black goat which is something that also happened in the VVITCH. That first film I absolutely loved but in the build up to this I was completely obsessed. The Wachowskis really made this film an event and there's very few movies I was more hyped to see. I'd rank it up there with things like the Phantom Menace and Endgame in terms of how excited I was for this to drop.We heard how actors had signed on without hearing the script...they were doing vfx shots that had never been pulled off before...they were releasing parts 2 and 3 back to back and that it was bigger and more expansive than the first film.At the time I was completely swept up in the hype and eagerly picking up everything I could. Every tie in you can think of I had it. I watched the Animatrix DVD almost onloop on my PS2 and only stopped when Enter The Matrix released a week before the films release.Throughout this video I wanna go through it all and talk about everything involving the film. So I thought that's what I'd tackle in this video and I wanna go through some of the major things in the movie.Now the first question is when did Weyland Yutani first know about the Xenomorphs. Ever since the first film released in 1979 there has been the sentiment that the corporation knew about the creatures and that they purposely routed the Nostromo on a path that would bring them near the signal from LV-426. The theory states that though the main mission was to get the minerals there was either a secondary or primary mission to get a xenomorph for test.This is something we discussed in our breakdown on that first movie and the theory originated because of what we learned of Ash's origins. Ripley tells Dallas she doesn't trust Ash and asks if he's ever worked with him before.50:20 - did you ever ship out with ash?I went out five times with another science officer, they replaced him two days before we went out with AshSo the company clearly did the old switcheroo to put someone on the ship who had their own private mission. Its actually thought that the reason Ash went haywire is because of the conflict in his programming. It's theorised that he had a prime directive to project the crew but also one to bring back the creature no matter the cost. Because of this the programme slowly became buggy and this is what caused him to go crazy and start shoving magazines in peoples mouths.This movie confirms though that retrieving the xenomorph was the original plan though and this is why we have the Romulus Remus looking for the ship and any samples of the Xenomorph.

Mostly. Throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the movie and talking about what happens with the ending. This is one of the best designs we've ever done and if you loved the movie and wanna support the channel then definitely check it out.With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into Alien Romulus.-Ok so the movie takes place between the events of Alien and Aliens with this being a relatively unexplored time period. We have seen certain aspects of it in Alien Isolation when Amanda Ripley went looking for her mother. When it comes to the movies this is the perfect bridge between the first two films though and that even comes down to the tone. The movie starts off slow similar to Alien before ramping up in the action department akin to its sequel.Ridley Scott was a producer on the movie though so it definitely leans more towards the former. This includes the logo at the start which is completely inline with the original Alien. We start in space with names appearing in white which comes after the 20th Century Fox Fanfare. That fanfare ends with the notes going down which is something we got at the start of Alien 3.Not resurrection, which I was a bit disappointed about but ey, breakdowns on the channel now.Either way at this point Weyland Yutani is at the height of its powers and out in the galaxy looking for Bio weapons. Aboard the Romulus Remus spaceship we see their experiments being conducted.

Well...kind of. As I'm sure you know she died at the end of Alien 3 with this version being a clone. Coming just five years after that movie, I remember as I kid it feeling like there was a massive delay. Alien 3 had been a nightmare to get off the ground and there were countless drafts and directions they wanted to go. If you've checked out our breakdown on that then you know the story. If you don't basically it was gonna centre around Hicks with Ripley appearing in a cameo role.Things were obviously changed but her death in part 3 meant that they had to go in a new direction.Or so they thought.Hiring Joss Whedon to write the films script they'd initially been impressed with his work on Buffy. That had a young strong female character which is the direction they wanted for the series.Initially they wanted to clone Newt and have her be the films protagonist.Alien 3 released before Jurassic Park and you can really see how that movie changed the industry. Genetics, cloning and CGI had all been things that were talking points of that movie. Just in the same way the dinosaurs chased people round the park Fox wanted Aliens to chase people round a ship. This was a big thing at the time with Deep Blue Sea doing something similar just 2 years later.Newt was originally in the Ripley Role and was they were gonna have the climax on Earth.This final battle would see the station reaching the planet and the Xenomorphs finally arriving.

As a whole the season kind of just felt like set up with it not really having a massive pay off.I even had a tweet go semi viral earlier in the week where I talked about what I think the main problem was. I said it felt like episode 8 in a 10 episode season and I think if we'd had two more entries then those events would have left fans a lot happier. Those would either feature the battle of the gullet or the storming of Kings Landing or potentially both.What we've been left with though is more of a tease of whats to come and a two year wait for whats likely gonna be another 8 episodes. However I think the issues go beyond just structure and that it involves the two key characters. Throughout this video I wanna talk about how we can fix the show and make it so that it pays off in the end.Obviously this is just my opinion and if you disagree then drop yours below. Because what the heck was that all about? Well, apparently according to the laws of this universe, the members of the Umbrella Academy were never really supposed to exist... And their existence basically brought upon the birth of the Multiverse... A cosmic structure that was never really supposed to exist in the first place. There was only ever supposed to be One Singular timeline... And that's the timeline that we see at the very end of the finale when we see Allison and Lila's family have a fun family day out alongside a number of actors that have appeared throughout the course of the series as “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tommy James and the Shondells plays.Then after we get a look at all of these people living their true happy endings, we get this super beautiful shot of this tree in the middle of the park... With the camera leading us to the base of the tree where we can see 8 yellow flowers magically spring to life before the series comes to a close. HBO confirmed its release after the Season 2 premiere and rough estimates put its release at 2026. However the wait might not feel as long as we have A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms releasing at some point next year. A lot of things are going down at sea with the first major event being the capture of the gay abandon. Carrying two targaryen princes its currently on its way to Pentos. However this is surrounded by the triachy and Aegon and Viserys are put into peril.Aegon manages to escape on his dragon Stormcloud which was the boys first and last time flying it. Pelted with arrows and a scorpion bolt through its neck it valiantly carried the king prince back to Dragonstone.Here it crashed down with the prince said to be shivering like a leaf and drenched in urine. Stormcloud died within the hour and Aegon told of the fleet.Now Viserys wasn't as lucky as his brother and his dragons egg hadn't hatched yet. So he had to remain on the ship but he tried to hide amongst the crew.

Throuhgout this video we're gonna be going through it all and talking about the easter eggs and all the hidden details in it.Obviously we have to PUT a spoiler alert in it as they're gonna be taking a big SWING. So if you don't want it ruined what are you waiting FOOOOOOUUUURRRR as we're gonna be discussing major parts of the game.With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into the trailer.-Ok so the teaser begins with a shot of Ellie from behind standing at the barn dance that kind of kickstarted everything. This scene was used heavily in the first look at E3 and it was one of the first things we saw of part 2. This even includes the shot from behind to introduce the scene with them clearly paying a lot of attention to the details. So it makes sense to have it as one of the first things we see of Season 2 but they have changed up the order quite a bit. I'm guessing part 2 will be spread over 2 seasons and this scene wasn't actually revealed until the end of the game. We hear about it quite early on though. Im guessing they didn't want us waiting for an explanation of that night because season 3 probably wont come until 2027.
