Dinosaur Vocalization Study (2025) | Revised & Amended Study
updated
The aim of Black Mesa: HECU is to provide a completely new experience that fills in the narrative spaces left by the military during Black Mesa incident... very much how Opposing Force did in its heyday.
Which version do you prefer?
Archean: The word Archean is derived from the Greek word ฮฑฯฯฮฎ, meaning 'origin'. During the Archean Eon, methane droplets in the air shrouded the young Earth in a global haze. There was no oxygen gas on Earth. Oxygen was only in compounds such as water. Complex chemical reactions in the young oceans transformed carbon-containing molecules into simple, living cells that did not need oxygen to live. The planet was covered in a haze which was self-limiting, cooling the surface by about 36 degrees Fahrenheit,โ and that it might have been orange in color. Oceans may have presented a "red" color due to the reduced iron-rich Archean atmosphere.
Proterozoic: The Proterozoic Eon, meaning โearlier life,โ is the eon of time after the Archean eon and ranges from 2.5 billion years old to 541 million years old. During this time, most of the central parts of the continents had formed and the plate tectonic process had started. Fed by nutrients in the sea and powered by the sun, cyanobacteria exploded across the ocean, pumping more and more oxygen into Earth's atmosphere. Slowly, over the next two billion years, oxygen in the atmosphere rose to its present levels, and the sky took on the blue hue on view today.
Hadean: The Hadean Eon, named after the Greek god and ruler of the underworld Hades, is the oldest eon and dates from 4.5โ4.0 billion years ago. This time represents Earth's earliest history, during which the planet was characterized by a partially molten surface, volcanism, and asteroid impacts. The young planet would still have looked profoundly different from today. There was no oxygen in the air, so lots of metallic iron was dissolved in the water, staining the oceans green. Levels of atmospheric methane were perhaps high enough to colour the sky orange.

An ongoing study utilizing the most recent scientific data on reptile, mammal, marine vertebrates vocalizations. Sounds are produced by myself and digitally workshopped from modern mammals, reptiles, and a handful of fish for the Leedsichthys. Using modulated proportions, one can attempt to recreate the flow of sound, frequency, and volume of each animal. Much study is required for each particular species, and often several phases are trashed due to general unlikelihood. The final results are based on acute representations of what sounds would be most comfortable and base-line for each animal.

Method: Using a similar, but altered model to Julia Clarke's Mesozoic Tyrannosaurus Rex vocal rendition, which included: combining the booming call of the Eurasian bittern with the growling vocalizations of the Chinese crocodile, and then scaling it up to T-rexโs estimated size (about 12 meters or 40 feet long), where they got was an ominous low rumble.

These half life 1 scientists are angry. eleven labs is a blast to use. I couldn't contain my laughter for quite a while. All the same, I had to redub the entire video from footsteps to ambience because they don't actually say any of this and I don't know how to mod the voices because i have a simple monkee brain.
All language used in this video is for comedic purposes. Don't get offended plox. This video contains strong language.

The latest trailer, made by me, using a version of Theme of Laura by Akira Yamaoka and Gnilp, a guitar player peer from YT. I thought the trailer was slightly tone-deaf with its theatricality and I tried to do a more classic Silent Hill 2 take on it. If I had more clips, I could have done a longer trailer, but I had to cleverly end it on a certain dramatic note rather than finish the entire song. Maybe I'll do a longer one when more footage is released.
Another game concept I made. Would love to work on this one but I'm not sure how the game would play. Survivalism in this type of landscape doesn't seem to jump out at me as far as gameplay is concerned.

AKA mr big nose AKA giant vulture that is also a tank AKA i smell dead things super well AKA mostly a scavenger but that's only because it's the most violent animal alive and is more interested in starting shit with whole groups of dinosaurs to steal larger meals than waste energy AKA so tough and pseudo-poisonous that it knows more food comes from starting shit giant attractive kills then stealing the kill aswell AKA be nice to Jack Horner
The pack stompin gang-banger would run around doin all sorts of mischief with his crew. Step on his corner and get run through ya feel me, youngin? this shit runs cold and deep, so walk your little Dryptosaurus ass off, ya feel me?
This is an early video of them a week after I brought them home. These events can be semi frequent and require minimal intervention at times. The reason is males who still have their testicles (not fixed) can have a bit more personality and testosterone, making them testy on occasion if they don't have enough space.
This was just a basic domination display to calm down Charlie who antagonizes Ben to play even when he's resting.

The great RTS of 1997, and the predecessor to Starcraft 1998. Dark Colony will always have a soft spot in my heart. It was the first RTS to use night/day as a tactical advantage for sight-radius depending on your race; obviously, Greys could see further during the night and humans in the day.
Though the races were mirrored like Warcraft 2, the key differences of your medium fire-power unit (scythe-demons and reapers-mechs) made all the difference when combined with the night and day cycles. Demons had melee range but attacked more quickly, while Reapers had a very short ranged attack but attack more slowly. Also, the game had heroes by default, with one commander and one alien council member with one special ability each; Commanders could summon a dropship with a certain amount of units depending on their selected rank โ aliens a saucer, or saucers, depending on their rank to abduct enemy units permanently.
The game also introduced missions similar to Starcraft and Warcraft 2 where you would escort your hero through a dungeon type of area to find artifacts and move forward in the game.
Now by far the most interesting thing about Dark Colony is the artifacts. When turned on for a multiplayer game (and obviously present in the game's dual campaigns) your resource unit can harvest up to 5 different artifacts with incredibly overpowered abilities (such as making every unit in an area kill each other, or simply fire off deadly spinning blades of death all over the map killing literally everything (even your own units). Like Petra-7, the resource that started the little alien-human war on MARS, artifacts are fought for between the races as an advantage in battle and for the future of their species.
In conclusion:
The game is mint. Download it as freeware and play that shit. It's hyper violent and has many cutscenes just like Starcraft to reward you for your play. It's also INCREDIBLY difficult if you don't win in under 15 - 20 minutes, as the enemy masses to an outrageous extent. The game can actually be made quite trivial if you simply mass mechs or sy-demons ASAP and assault the enemy.
โI donโt know if you can understand me, you pasty faced maggot. But thatโs the way that I say it, you bugged eyed freak. โ

Bioshock was released on August 21 of 2007, meaning we are a whole year away from the 15th anniversary. That's a really tough because I don't give a shit so now it's August 21st, 2022. Or September of 2016 which is when Remastered came out - oof my head is starting to spin! Anyways:
Welcome to the Plasmid fueled leap-year from hell. You find yourself in an underwater city and everyone is using drugs to make shit float with their mind. What else is there to say? Obviously become a hacker and fight submarine men with a wrench and hurt their little girls so you can become more powerful. Thank you Ken Levine for providing a highly relatable experience that fulfills everything I've ever wanted to do. If I went another day without shooting bees out of my arms at submarine drillers I probably was going to give up on gaming altogether.
Here, here!
