Pulled from the womb
I came into the world without a voice
My tongue tied around itself
Silence consumes
A vacancy, a pain I can’t avoid
My heart remains locked inside this cell
Drown in the hopelessness
As It pulls me under
Choke on the emptiness
But I find no resolve
Drown in the hopelessness
The silence amplified
Choke on the emptiness
Tongue tied
Forlorn, a call without a voice
No vessel suited for release
The chasm inside growing deep
Claws of isolation, sink into me
My soul overflows
Swallowed by the void
Concealing the form
That dwells within
Devoid of control
I call to the heavens
Release my tongue
Cut out the skin
Drown in the hopelessness
As It pulls me under
Choke on the emptiness
But I find no resolve
Drown in the hopelessness
The silence amplified
Choke on the emptiness
Tongue tied
A key to the lock
On the gates surrounding me
The words to the thoughts
Once trapped inside, trapped inside of me
I spoke the same pitch of the world
But my voice fell on deaf ears
I played the song born in my heart
My chorus still echoes through the realms
I found my timbre, my song

Torn open
My heart is on display
I wrote my blood upon the page
Sealed with the sweat of my brow
Hands cling to these aspirations
No place for apathy
Behold i'll make this sacrifice
Trading it all for a spot in the light
Blood in these trenches, trickling,
Grease the wheels of this machine
Over the edge
You give but they take, they take it all away
And keep on pushing until you're
Over the edge
I tried to swim with the current
Now Im drowning with an anchor tied around my feet
Another price to pay
A compromise you have to make
But as you give yourself away
You become everything you hate
Over the edge
You give but they take, they take it all away
And keep on pushing until you're
Over the edge
The sacrifice is not in vain
I have to find the strength to
Take control or face defeat
I wont go back now
I won't go
Over the edge
The gears still turn
Devouring
So fall in line or turn away
The bridge will burn
Decide your fate
You’ll be a pawn or be replaced
Over the edge
You give but they take, they take it all away
And keep on pushing until you're
Over the edge
The sacrifice is not in vain
I have to find the strength to
Take control or face defeat
I wont go back now
No longer
Bound and chained
to the machine
I won't let this passion turn to poison
I won’t lose myself to this machine

Same blood
Born on divided soil
Speaking in different tongues
We all bleed the same
Same blood
We all bleed the same
Hope of progress is tainted
By the echoes of history
This plague keeps coming back
We repeat our sins again and again
Are we building a future?
Or reliving the past?
Embracing acceptance,
Or drinking from the cup of bitterness?
Pull the planks of judgment from your eyes
You’ll see the empty space inside
Inside.. It's time that you turn on the light
Oh, the confines of a mind
When the box is kept closed tight
Like a virus the ignorance multiplies
Open the box and open up your eyes
Same blood
We bleed the same
Then return to dust
We all bleed the same
Same blood
We all bleed the same
Hope of progress is tainted
By the echoes of history
This plague keeps coming back
We repeat our sins again and again
Can we heal the division?
Bring a peace that will last
Level the scales of justice
Leave the hate in the past
Oh, the confines of a mind
When the box is kept closed tight
Like a virus the ignorance multiplies
Open the box and open up your eyes
Now close the mouth that you’ve had open wide
The streets run red from this ignorance
The blood that has been spilled
is the same blood in your veins

Discordant symphony
Each breath is a symphony
When our words take shape
The world will change
When truth is on display
Then we will see the world will change
Oh God, behold your creations
How can we not sing
Each vertebrate an instrument
Each breath a symphony
Discordant symphony
May our verses leave a mark
A drink to satisfy aridity
Igniting fire in every heart
An ever flowing spring of remedy
From life to death
An endless refrain
To pierce the membrane of eternity
When our words take shape
The world will change
When truth is on display
Then we will see the world will change
Oh God, behold your creations
How can we not sing
Each vertebrate an instrument
Each breath a symphony
There’s power
In your voice
This sound fills the chambers
Some resonate out of key
Dissonance, in the choir
Let us drown out the adversity
There’s power in your voice

“We wanted to go back to our roots,” states Dawson Scholz on The Ongoing Concept's upcoming album AGAIN. “The goal was to do an homage to our earlier albums, while moving forward. We tapped into the old mindset and combined it with where we’re at now. If we were going to get back together, we knew it couldn’t be underwhelming. We needed to give the fans music that was on par with what we were doing a decade ago, but evolved.”
The Ongoing Concept integrate “lyrics and Easter Eggs” from previous albums into the record’s framework, embodying the title quite literally. “Thematically, the songs are continuations,” Dawson affirms. “Every single song has its own vibe even though some of the lyrics may be connected to older tunes.”

I hold my tongue and everything gets better
And I might pay the price.
Be indebted my whole life.
And watch me devour my ego
Is that all you want from me?
So what would it take to break away
And motivate some sense of change?
Or maybe I might face the ache that fades away I’m feeling.
Unwanted
Every single day
Unwanted
Here we go again
Lead me on
I want a new frame of mind
Lead me on
From the start, you shattered my heart
New frame of mind
All I want back
Want it back
I want a new frame of mind
Want it back
And you don’t know what I’m going through
Don’t know what I’m gonna do
Everybody’s weighing in
I wanna fall in love with you
‘Cause you lead me on
I want a new frame of mind
Lead me on
From the start, you shattered my heart
Frame of mind
Lead me on
From the start, you shattered my heart
I hold my tongue and everything gets better
‘Cause you lead me on
I want a new frame of mind
Lead me on
From the start, you shattered my heart

Sinking down a rounded wall
Crumbling into a twisted heap
Breath saturated with defeat
My tongue exhausted from bitter words
Confined, detached, alone
With fists I painted walls crimson
Denied, deprived, controlled
I’ve reached my wits end
Is this a prison?
is this purgatory?
Worn down from the isolation
Is there hope through the suffering?
Sinking down, I slowly fall
Suffocate in complacency
Breath saturated with defeat
My tongue exhausted from bitter words
Confined, detached, alone
With fists i painted walls crimson
Denied, deprived, controlled
I’ve reached my wits end
Is this a prison?
is this purgatory?
Worn down from the isolation
Is there hope through the suffering?
The walls close in more each day
The skin has stretched to its threshold
My forehead presses up against the edge
the feeling of overgrowth
The walls close in more each day
Still wrapping tighter around me
Now overtaken by restlessness
The feeling of overgrowth
There’s no achievement only complacency
No contentment, I struggle in vain
In search of purpose, still I remain
OVERGROWN!
A foreign light stings my eye
Unwelcome but yet new
A crack in the atmosphere
A vision to lead me through
A vision to lead me through!

Constantly complacent in my bones
Feeling you reverberate
Quit tugging on my soul
I feel everything
But nothing that I want
Face up to the fact that you’ll be better off alone.
I can’t think
I am lost in my own head
I can’t keep it together
Round and round we go
Sanity in solitude is misery
Feeling foreign inside my bones
Hoping to God that I can make it back home
Fighting the feeling of growing cold
Fighting this feeling is getting old
So am I mistaken
Or are the bodies lining up?
No, they can’t seem to get enough
Give me more of this
I can’t get enough of it
Give more of this
I’m feeling cold ‘cause I’m on my way out
I said I’m on my way
Falling through the cracks
Can’t keep my sanity
Take it away
So I can’t feel the pain.
Feeling foreign inside my bones
Save yourself
Round and round we go
Hope to God that I make it home
Dead inside
I’m feeling so alone
Losing sanity
Losing sanity with praises unto me
All your will
Sanity in solitude in misery
Out in the world you won’t get any sympathy
Save yourself
I find myself being shallow
I view the world through a small dark window
Insanity seems to follow
I need to find a way to break this habit
I’m feeling cold ‘cause I’m on my way out
I said I’m on my way
Falling through the cracks
Can’t keep my sanity
Take it away
Losing sanity with praises unto me
Save yourself
Sanity in solitude is misery
All your will
I view the world through a small dark window
I need to find a way to break this habit

How routine it feels like
Like I fell through the floor
Crushed by another passing
It’s all happened before
Still I’m not pretending
To know every story and every choice
I’m just some voice below
The background noise
I hope that it’s cancer
And not something else
Cause I don’t need anymore things
I don’t wanna talk about
How could I think such a thing?
Who am I to say?
Daily devastation that I can’t validate
“What’s wrong with you?”
They’ll ask about me
“You’re done, you’re through”
Still I’m not pretending
To know every story and every choice
I hope that it’s cancer
And not something else
Cause I don’t need anymore things
I don’t wanna talk about
I don’t need an answer
Care about heaven or hell
I hope that it’s cancer
So what does that say about myself?

There’s no other story but this. It’s always something. The hand forcing sticks into its spokes.
Sleeping for a day or sleep for 5 minutes
but only for a day or two if you’re lucky.
See, I sold my board for $20 cause I didn't want to break my arm save the strings. And now it’s like,
angry songs make me feel worse.
Happy songs make me feel like a liar.
I’m a 90s kid.
I’m from the sounds of hollow walls and steep secondhand steps. From below the stairs. Hovering above the brick stages.
Plastic sheets don’t keep out the cold.
It hurts.
It hurts.
It hurts.
It hurts.
I swear to God it hurts.
If it comes worse for worse.
I got a million in the stack and always one in the cavity.
I think I’m witnessing the end of the world and I like it.

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and ever pining
'Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope, a weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn'
Fall on your knees, o hear the angels' voices
O night divine, o night when Christ was born
O night divine, o night, o night divine
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Fall on your knees, o hear the angels' voices
O night divine, o night when Christ was born
O night divine, o night, o night divine

Dark. Cold. Night.
Dare I speak though overcome with silence
It’s been so long behind a wall that divides us and hides us from beauty
It’s been a dark cold night
It’s been cold, it’s been dark
As we ride out the nightfall & weather the blackout
Time stops and stands still like we’re frozen in eternity
Will the sun rise on the sons of men?
And will we hear the Word speak cus we’re listening in the dark?
Will You speak?
Tear the veil that hides the light within
Destroy the walls that we have made with all our sin
As all the voices cry, “Deliver us!”
Send the Word - Tear the veil
And end this dark cold night
Who can make the sun rise on this cursed ground?
That breaks all the silence with just a sound
And bring the demise of the gates of hell
That banishes death into the last farewell
There’s light behind the curtain a mercy full and free
Whose hands can break this schism I can’t bear to see?
Tear the veil that hides the light within
Destroy the walls that we have made with all our sin
As all the voices cry, “Deliver us!”
Send the Word - Tear the veil
And end this dark cold night
Will the sun rise on the sons of men?
And will we hear the Word speak cus we’re listening in the dark?
Tear the veil - Tear it down
Make war until our sorrows cease
Save us and guide us into peace
Tear the veil that hides the light within
Destroy the walls that we have made with all our sin
As all the voices cry, “Deliver us!”
Send the Word - Tear the veil
And end this dark cold night
Tear the veil and open heaven’s gates
Tear the veil I see the sun is shining
Son of God, O guide us into peace

What’s real? What’s fake?
Black temple / hallucinate
What’s real? What’s fake?
Black temple / hallucinate
Called awake by another migraine
Countless needles slowly penetrate
What’s real? What’s fake?
Black temple / hallucinate
Impending / red hallway
Black temple / hallucinate
I’ve been forced into the depths of agony
Frozen in sickness
No one beside me
Can’t find the painkiller
Can’t numb the ache
Arcane existence
Years washed away
What’s real? What’s fake?
Black temple / hallucinate
Impending / red hallway
Black temple / hallucinate
I’ve been forced into the depths of agony
Blood pulsing like the light in the hallway
I’d do anything for some kind of relief
I’d do anything
I’d do anything
One thousand days - the loop repeats
One thousand days - chained to this disease
What’s real? What’s fake?
Black temple / hallucinate
Black temple / hallucinate

What if I missed a sign again?
So often too insecure
Thrown off by the noise again
Like a vision now a blur
When will I know
That the time is right for the hour to strike
It’s all wrong / moving closer to a dying sound
Take another try walking on air
Got me going ’til I meet the edge
What if I missed a sign again?
So often too insecure
Thrown off by the noise again
Like a vision now a blur
Might never even know what could have been
Never know what I deserve
What if I missed a sign again? Sign again?
I’m existing as a ghost
But I’m still afloat / dizzy drifting from left to right
I’m waiting for a night that never comes
But now I’m caught staring at the sun
Staring at the sun / waiting for the burn
What if I missed a sign again?
So often too insecure
Thrown off by the noise again
Like a vision now a blur
Might never even know what could have been
Never know what I deserve
What if I missed a sign again? Sign again?
I can’t sleep cause the sky is falling
Rest in peace, the noise is calling
What if I missed a sign again?
So often too insecure
Thrown off by the noise again

Waiting just outside your door
Those drops / those tears on the floor
Can we talk it out?
Find ways to solve the doubt
It’s okay I was fine to make the drive
There’s a story here / no hindsight
We can’t keep draining an empty tank
Don’t say sorry it’s not your mistake
Can you look me in the eye?
We can try to slow down time
Wait until the pain gets smaller
But It never subsides
Does it feel like a heart attack?
Like there’s no way out and no way back
I hate that you’re being trapped by your issues
But I’m here with you
Does it feel like you’ve lost control?
Losing sleep will take its toll
I hate that you’re being trapped by your issues
But I’m here with you
There are times when
Your sight’s blurry and you’re hurting
It feels like the world stopped turning
Still trying to make the best of this place
Don’t say sorry it’s not your mistake
Does it feel like a heart attack?
Like there’s no way out and no way back
I hate that you’re being trapped by your issues

In pieces, in separate rooms
By then I had lost my voice
It was over, I couldn’t cope or
Offer up anymore time
When was the last laugh we had
Like when we were twenty-five?
It’s over, what I’d hoped for
Couldn’t stand being by my side
How could you wanna leave?
Put down / just a memory
Been holding on by a string
By April, the snow was melting
And I thought you’d give another try
But it was past now, gone for good now
No longer twenty-five
How could you wanna leave?
Put down / just a memory
Been holding on by a string
Who is it this could be
This person in front of me?
Know I tried everything
But I’m not what you wanted
I hate to call it all a mistake
Why couldn’t it come my way?
Still blaming the same escape
It was fake
How could you wanna leave?
Put down / just a memory
Been holding on by a string

All around they’re seeking hell tonight
Paying tribute in recycled song
Out of mind and out of sight
Feel so vindicated
Who is it you’re trying to protect?
I know the weight pouring down on me
We’re in a rotten place tonight
Feel so vindicated
I get scared when my eyes close
Nobody knows
If I run into the fire will it burn me?
Burn me up
If I throw it to desire can it hurt me?
Hurt me
You keep calling me a liar but I see
Right through
Through you
Too many moments I’ve taken breath
Below the flood line
Lungs fill up with the truth of it
They’ve got intentions, I’ve got mine
Who are you trying to protect?
I know the weight pouring down on me
We’re in a rotten place tonight
Feel so vindicated
The lies that you wrote
Nobody knows
If I run into the fire will it burn me?
Burn me up
If I throw it to desire can it hurt me?
Hurt me
You keep calling me a liar but I see
Right through
Through you
Through you

It’s so hard to recognize
That these diamonds fail to glow
Take pills to ease my mind
As long as I don’t feel alone
In debt to become incomplete
Step back ’til we hear the song repeat
Watch as I become obsolete
Step back and
Welcome to the way down
Keep on telling / selling me a way out
Another offer of a faultless life now
But I think I’ll just keep it inside
Stitch it up and wear it with pride
What’s fake is always on my mind
Like money makes the rivers flow
Contact the sacred valley
Let it know all its trees must go
In debt to become incomplete
Step back ’til we hear the song repeat
Watch as I become obsolete
Step back and
Welcome to the way down
Keep on telling / selling me a way out
Another offer of a faultless life now
But I think I’ll just keep it inside
Stitch it up and wear it with pride
They enforce that you don’t matter
Man’s horns dictate thereafter
But I’ll fight, have a chance at this
Fight the chains / fight the engine’s hiss
Step back
Step back and
Welcome to the way down
Keep on telling / selling me a way out
Another offer of a faultless life now
But I think I’ll just keep it inside

I hate when I get left alone
I’m sure that all these calls are getting old
A short drive / just get me home
The cost is nowhere near to what I owe
From the back of the car it’s sinking in
Like a shot of fear and adrenaline
I’m a lost cause with nothing left
Can’t you see that?
My hands are torn up
From all these broken bottles
I can’t stand, lost too much
I know I’ve got my problems
How did it start?
This episode’s got me crawling and flying
I’m high and I’m low
I watch from afar and make my bets
As you sit back and light a cigarette
A lost cause with nothing left
Can’t you see that?
My hands are torn up
From all these broken bottles
I can’t stand, lost too much
I know I’ve got my problems
Everyday I’m afraid
That I might find the bottom
My hands are torn up
I know I’ve got my problems
Drink it down, I’m on empty
Shaking now, please don’t worry
It surrounds all that I see
I’m on empty
My hands are torn up
From all these broken bottles
I can’t stand, lost too much
I know I’ve got my problems
Everyday I’m afraid
That I might find the bottom
My hands are torn up
I know I’ve got my problems
Becoming The Archetype is back after a 10 year hiatus. The core trio—Jason Wisdom [vocals/bass], Seth Hecox [guitar/keyboard/vocals], and Brent “Duck” Duckett [drums]—focus their intensity into a cinematic trip bolstered by soaring clean vocals, technically proficient instrumentation, and a fascinating sci-fi concept.

This world was dead from the start
When the ancients first found this planet
It was nothing but a wasteland
A roiling sea
Chaos and entropy
Uninhabited
Uninhabitable
No sign of life
A million miles away from home
No light to guide
Transplanting the seeds of hope
They moved the mountains into place
Terraformed the surface to their will
They sculpted oceans out of desert space
Flawless design in each detail
A formless void
A toxic tempest
A new beginning
Within their hands
They carved the rivers out of dust
Transplanted forests where they stand
Broke up the fallow planet’s crust
Injected life into the land
No way to see it then
No way to predict
Hidden beneath the skin
The host could not detect
There is a curse upon the water
And now it lives within us all
It is a blight that will devour
It will devour us it will devour us all
Lost forever
Lost inside our own flesh #BecomingTheArchetype #ChildrenOfTheGreatExtinction

Welcome to the world of dead men
A thousand years had passed
After the water turned black
The curse spread quickly through the masses
Internal attack
The angel of death kept us alive
We crumbled in his hands
Beneath his watchful eye
There was no way to escape
Prognosis terminal
Inevitable ruin our fate
Til the arrival
He descended like fire from the heavens
Like a bolt of lightning from the sky
We crossed an ocean of death to reclaim him
Bringer of hope
Giver of life
The water of life he carried with him
We dashed it to the ground
Careless and desperate
A parade of corpses
Moving closer to extinction
Inexorable extirpation
Is there another way
Bring us back there
To the source #BecomingTheArchetype #ChildrenOfTheGreatExtinction

So this how it ends
Before it even starts
Apprehended by monstrous forms
Skin like feathers caked in mud
Nebulous speech outstretched arms
Protruding veins dripping blood
Sail across the blackened sea
To the village of the living things
Hollow eyes transfixed on me
The silence deafening
Standing in the ruins
A world forsaken
The empty faces of hollow creatures
Longing to awaken
Longing to awaken
Death comes for everyone
It’s in the water it’s in the air
When every step is a loaded gun
Every breath is a prayer
Their bodies crumble at the slightest contact
Few have managed to survive
Endless endeavor just to stay intact
Completely hollow inside
I cannot comprehend
What my eyes have seen
Are these the children of men
That I was sent to redeem

Though your failures bind you
This death will not define you
Rise renew
Extract the water from the body
Drink consume
Absorb the life within the blood
Move regain
New life to animate the flesh
Go and reclaim the planet
They took his life in a jealous rage
He exposed their inadequacies
And shined a light upon their failures
Unblemished flesh a painful reminder
Retrieved the capsule from the ocean’s grasp
Co-opted systems to complete their task
The laid the corpse inside the metal frame
Connected tubes and wires to the lifeless veins
Not a single drop reclaimed was wasted
And when the sacrament was finished
The capsule closed and began to rise
Pierced the clouds and completely vanished
Veiled in obscurity
Hope was gone
The soul displaced
Clothed in his purity
A new day dawns
The past erased
It was a strange and dreadful strife
The day that life and death contended
The victory remained with life
The reign of death was ended
The ancient writing plainly says
Death is swallowed up in death
Now its sting is lost forever
Now its sting is lost forever #BecomingTheArchetype #ChildrenOfTheGreatExtinction

Upon arrival of the waking hour
The only sound the ringing in my ears
In the dark devoid of power
Through the black an alien planet draws near
Powerless awaiting descent
Incapable of physical motion
Suspended in the eternal present
Upon the waves of an infinite black abyss
I am sifted through the cracks
Within the fabric of reality
My consciousness reacts
To a new awakening
From beautiful chaos to deafening silence
And tortured sound of labored breathing
Descending faster and faster to the surface
Then all at once time and space stop moving
Blinding light
Shatters the darkness
Through the night
A voice emerges
I am the ancient of ancients
The beginning and end
The world below you has been corrupted
Not from without but from within
It was for this purpose you were chosen
Only you can end the curse now
Sacrifice your body for the broken
Your essence must be poured out
Like a bullet from a gun
Space and time
Come rushing back into focus
Tearing through the heavens
With fervent heat
Then finally crashing down into the ocean #BecomingTheArchetype #ChildrenOfTheGreatExtinction

Regaining strength and motor function
Rising and falling with the dark black waves
Removing life support kicking the doorway open
The outside world comes rushing in
I can’t remember the last time
I took a breath on my own
I’m letting go of the lifeline
I’ve never felt so alone
This world is hollow
Filled with selfish hollow creatures
Conceived in sorrow
Captive to their fragile features
Set adrift in a sea of shadows
The sound of screaming in the distance
On the horizon an object fast approaching
A wooden vessel filled with ghastly figures
This world is hollow #BecomingTheArchetype #ChildrenOfTheGreatExtinction

I’m hanging here just by a thread, slowly fading and I’m seeing red
Losing all of my grip on everything I once held on to
I just watch it unravel on my downward spiral
All I ever held close to me
Can you see the lights and fire fall? Burning down till nothing’s left at all
Sifting through the wreck and ashes
Listen and you’ll hear the love that calls
I’m laying here with nothing left just the ashes of my silhouette
Is there anything here but all the thorns that block my way out?
I just watch it unravel on my downward spiral
All I ever held close to me
Can you see the lights and fire fall? Burning down till nothing’s left at all
Sifting through the wreck and ashes
Listen and you’ll hear the love that calls
I just had to unravel to a downward spiral
Losing all of my grip on all I ever held close to me
I just had to unravel to a downward spiral
All the thorns would tenderly lead somewhere so much better for me
Than everything I once held on to
Can you see the lights and fire fall? Burning down till nothing’s left at all
Sifting through the wreck and ashes
Listen and you’ll hear the love that calls
Hear the love that’s calling to me

It never looked so good
I’m down to run the risk
I want the accident
Maybe I want the crisis
I’ve done this countless times before Down to ride the wave
The ones that I create
They’ll never be defined by anyone They never looked so good!
Brave marionette
Bleeding out the strings above you. Bleeding out the knives that carved you out
If only you could bite down on the hand if you can find them in the darkness
It never looked so sad
It never looked so good

You want the things and the promises from before you were a killer before yet from before
I just don’t need anyone else to answer.
Crouched down citizens will gather up their ranks. Charging everyone down together.
One by one. 100 by a hundred
so just for a moment, they can fall above you.
So what am I supposed to look for? Where am I supposed to be found? Carry me in every direction or lead me up cause you’re every way down.
Subject position, crooked lines become distorted over time.
arrows in spines that never existed.
Who wants to break another fall?
Don’t worry, we’ll get there at the same time. Forever is just another word now.
This world was never meant for me or I was never meant for it.

It takes more than wealth to introduce a god of your own
It takes stones, it takes mud, it takes hands
It takes plague after plague after plague after plague after plague.
It takes a lowercase of faith
It takes knees on the ground,
It takes heads looking down at anyone but yourself At anything but myself
I shot the sparrow from suspended flight
I took its wings, learned it’s song and rehearsed Appetite filled with curses in hand.
Spread them around at incriminating rates
I’ll read the lines between
I’ll write the lines between
Can you see them?
Look, I’m not perfect but
I’ll change with the new wave.
I’ll adjust to everything.
Everything and everything but anything I know.
I’m right when I just don't care I'll feel when you give me air And I’ll suffocate and not care I’ll breathe then I’ll steal the air
Can I get a little less conversation and a lot more action please.
No one is looking at me
so I guess I don’t exist at all Happiness and a shivering gun

Don’t call it a nightmare, we’ll never have any dream like this Don’t call it a miracle, we never noticed them anyway
Don't call it a vibration.
Count backwards and walk yourself back back back back
I never asked you for anything anyway
Drag me up, skinned alive
Take my bones, thrown aside
You can have them
I don't want them back
Push me down, fight for breath, you’re alive! I can swim on the floor above you
Have more endurance than you
I can suffer so much better than you
If you want to stab me in the back
stand behind me first
It all dries up on you cause I’m worth more dead More dead than alive!
We are the cool kids
Don’t call it a comeback
I was never here to begin with So don't call it a resurrection
I could only wish for such things
I spent too much time trying to figure it out.
How the world works and less how I work within it. If I stare into the abyss
It never stares back at me
We don’t fight for victory, we fight from it.

My life in my hands is absolute bullshit. Wading in the grime of the rotten dead. Everything is bright now where I live.
It starts cold and always ends in fire.

White flags to start the war.
A mountain of fire, a valley of smoke.
That which was above is now below.
Sing to me in silence, break me back together. Fractured in one piece, the wolves hide from the sheep. Dig sparrows from the dirt, pull snakes from the clouds. Let them war and kill each other on neutral ground. White flags to start the war
Pale horse come home.

Balance is everything to me now
Eyes closed doesn't make anything disappear
So calm on the outside.
I’m freaking out on the inside.
Now cast.
Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust
off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated. Understand I requested every door to cast
out everything you measure and everything
that tries to measure you.
Balance is everything to me now
Eyes closed doesn't make anything disappear Motionless on the outside
I’m an avalanche on the inside
Where are you and who told you you were naked?

A thousand years a thousand failures in the making
Myriad leaks have nearly killed the operation
Traitor
Judas
Impossible task impossible odds we’re undertaking
With black market supplies and information
No one has dared to face the journey we are making
Since it was outlawed no one even has even tried
The hour is now the voyage is critical
To shatter the boundary of the impossible
Only we can bring them home
Close your eyes and follow the light
Let reality bend itself around you
By conviction and not by sight
Answer the call from deep within you
Zealot
Mad man
Many arose and volunteered to go the distance
All failed to withstand the tests required to jump
Only one reluctant soul displayed resistance
To transdimensional-nano-particle radiation
Open the door
Step inside
All you’ve got to do now is survive

[I’m] not singing this song like it’s fading in the background
[I’m] not singing this song like it’s going to be the last time
The first note of the melody has rung out too much of the divine
The curse is the end of the verse with a thunderous voice, but you draw the line
Just silence the beauty and fill the world with pain
Just violence and chaos, where all is lost and vain
My heart still echoes the words You burned inside that are endless
The anthem of heaven
But if you silence this song the rocks will cry out
The anthem of heaven
The chord rings but you want to hear a new song, a chorus to the dirt
Discordant anthems of melodic cancer rise to fall before eternity
You filled us with screams of symphonic pain
You love the broken voice
We’re screaming screams of symphonic pain
My heart still echoes the words You burned inside that are endless
The anthem of heaven
But if you silence this song the rocks will cry out
The anthem of heaven
[I’m] not singing this song like it’s fading in the background
[I’m] not singing this song like it’s going to be the last time
When this poor broken frame lies silent in the grave
I’ll rise to hear of the song of sinners saved
My heart still echoes the words You burned inside that are endless
The anthem of heaven
But if you silence this song the rocks will cry out
The anthem of heaven
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain

There’s something I can’t share
It’s just too hard to explain
I’m barely holding on
It happens everyday
Like a desperate dream
That never goes away
I’m barely holding on
I’m lost in the wake
Oil floats within the water
Soon to be set aflame
Time’s moving like lightning
Time shifts like a glacier
It’s the opposites that I can’t accept
This collision / certain death
There’s something I can’t share
It’s just too hard to explain
I’m barely holding on
It happens everyday
Like a desperate dream
That never goes away
I’m barely holding on
I’m lost in the wake
What’s to be done about this friction
Plagued habits again
I’ve been struck by the lightning
I’ve vanished, gone with glacier
Cause it’s the opposites that I can’t accept
This collision / certain death
There’s something I can’t share
It’s just too hard to explain
I’m barely holding on
It happens everyday
Like a desperate dream
That never goes away
I’m barely holding on
I’m lost in the wake
Time’s moving like lightning
Time shifts like a glacier
Welcome to the great division
The space where numb meets pain

We have not forgotten
We are a part of the resistance
The underground insurgent remnant
We bear this burden through the ages
Beneath the surface the war still rages on
They were the chosen ones
We have not forgotten
We are the only ones
Who refuse to let go
Separation
Countless dimensions in between
Communication
Severed ties with ancient mystery
No explanation
Only the silence of the unforgiving void
Dissociation
We can’t let this memory be destroyed
This is the work of a hundred generations
To recover what was abandoned
To unlock the secret of the ancients
And traverse dimensional space again
Rebuild
Restore
Reclaim the truth and take the leap again

The mirror unwinds: Twin archetypes collide.
I am reborn, proliferated by a self-replicating passenger: Ghost.
Dormant dimensions grafted to my senses. Infected with fractals, a spore in my skin;
a sequence of consciousness begging to begin again.
I can finally see the duality of everything: A silent abyss implicit in reality.
We're hanging by a thinning thread, waiting for the earth to turn.
As my mind is shattering and the reasons to stay abandon me,
I'll survive one death at a time... there is nowhere left to fall.
Broken visions of a future where we tear the curtain down.

Don't you “Glass half full, half empty” No glass at all. No glass at all.
Always saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. and at the right time but at the wrong thing, and so on. Don't you?
Yeah so shake it off and throw it out into jagged teeth
And listen for the rattle digging up your dust and bones You can break it off and drag out all the smoke in its lungs And curse out every word even if it tastes like blood.
24 hours and a new beginning!

I saw my own
Reflection
In the shadow in the vapor
In both of his hands
Bracing for truth
Or to hide
Is the war that wages
Behind both of my eyes
I see my enemy
It is the Sentinel
I am your enemy
I am the Sentinel
Am I alone In this prison?
Do the bars on the windows have names?
Bracing, I sweat with a heart that is racing
I must turn and face him again
I see my enemy
It is the Sentinel
I am your enemy
I am the Sentinel
I see my own dark shadow
And go before his throne
Is this my fate, to not escape?
I cannot fall prey to his kind
Reflection
Reflection
I see my enemy

Yes, I don’t know
Is it me or the air?
Am I alone?
Am I Insane?
Do I care?
Am I alive?
Is this how I live?
Or how I die?
You’re not alive
You’d rather die
You’re not alive
You’d rather die
Am I afraid of my own shadow?
Are we afraid of our own shadows?
Nothing to fear at all
Nothing to escape from
You’re not alive
You’d rather die
You’re not alive
You’d rather die
Am I afraid of my own shadow?
Are we afraid of our own shadows?
Nothing to fear at all
Nothing to escape from
Am I afraid of my own shadow?
Are we afraid of our own shadows?
Nothing to fear at all
Nothing to escape from

Over a threshold now
I’ve emerged in victory
Only to be met with doubts
And fears a new misery
Is to stay mourning the past
Comfort is all for back
In the womb
In the tomb
Remember
Will I remember? No
Will I..
Only few make it out
Been abused
By our selves
Beaten down
On the ground
All alone
As we roam
We crawl in vain to reach the end
Will we ever learn it never ends?
Only tears we have shed
The whole self, we must shed
We crawl in vain to reach the end
Will we ever learn it never ends?
The whole self, we must shed
Remember
Remember
I will remember
Remember
Remember
Remember
Remember

Have I fallen prey to the fears I feed myself?
Have I slipped into a never ending hell?
If there’s an out, tell me now
No escape, I’ve run down
Will I keep running?
Or will I fight?
The battle that rages in my mind
Will I keep running?
Or will I fight?
The battle that rages in my mind
I am out of air
I am out of time
I am out of air
I am out of time
Just keep going
You can’t stay here
Or you’re sure to succumb to your darkest fears
Your light still glows
Though be it dim
The truth of your spirit lies deep within
I am out of air
I am out of time
I am out of air
I am out of time
Opponent is a metal band from Seattle, WA fronted by vocalist, guitarist, & videographer Andy Maier.

You will stay
In the fate I made
Delivered by my own two hands
Fear and shame
Grips you can’t escape
Your life is plagued by my plans
Turn your face away from me
Turn your face away from me
I am your fears
That feed on abandoned
Hopes that for years
Have all been forsaken
Turn your face away from me
Turn your face away from me
You’ve been betrayed
By your reflection
Fading away
Running
Forgotten
