Yes, you can absolutely lift your vehicles with the QuickJack frames "sideways," meaning perpendicular to your vehicle! As Jen mentions in the video, two things to keep in mind are the radial shift - meaning your car will be lifting up and to the left or right depending on your configuration; also - and most important is that lifting this way really does work best on vehicles with even weight distribution. The good news is, the liquid sealant is incredibly easy to use, won't contaminate your system and provides an incredibly good bond with the threads! The bad news - it generally needs 24 hours to fully cure. As we mention in the video though, you can always revert to using thread seal tape if you're in a hurry. The fact of the matter is, both options will get you the same great results! However, when used improperly thread seal tape can have adverse effects on your QuickJack system. With tape, debris can break off and clog the flow control valve, it can cover the fitting causing a backup of fluid, and it can make a less effective seal when improperly applied to the threads. Changing the fluid in your QuickJack system is a rare maintenance procedure, but we wanted to cover it in the event it needs to happen. There are really only two reasons you would need to change the fluid: 1.) You live in a cold climate and need to change the fluid to an ATF that is designed for your area. 2.) You notice that the QuickJack is performing erratically, you've had it for a few years, and you've already tried the bleeding procedure to no avail. QuickJack Clutch for Podium Finish at Auto Club Speedway!!! QuickJack 2019-05-21 | QuickJack Goes Racing - Auto Club Speedway QuickJack is proud to have partnered up with Cameron Parsons of Parsons Racing for the 2019 season! During the second race of the Trans Am West Coast Championship season Parsons Racing found themselves in a bit of trouble with the alternator in Cameron’s number 83 yellow Camaro. Luckily for them they had QuickJack there to help them get the car high enough in the air and give them enough space underneath to pull the alternator out and swap it with the new one. In this video, Cameron describes their experience of almost not being able to compete because of their technical difficulties and how QuickJack helped save a ton of time with the entire process. It was a stressful experience for Parsons Racing but in the end he was able to compete and finished in 3rd.As you see, QuickJack proves to be one of the best tools for car maintenance and repair for home use or out on the track when time is of the essence. This is a pretty simple and straightforward procedure, but you can damage your portable car lift’s components if you do it wrong. This tip will help you out.Be sure to follow the guidelines of this video, so you don’t get a hydraulic fluid rupture that can ruin your day. Follow safety precautions to minimize risk. Wear safety glasses/eye protection. Wear protective gloves. Set up QuickJack using closed-toe shoes or even steel-toe boots if you have them.
