BNSF 6017 and KCSM Grey Ghost! | UP & KCS Trains in Laredo, TX | 7/29/22 TX Railspotter 2022-08-10 | First Train:KCS 4833 (ES44AC) and KCSM 4556 (AC44CW) (Ex-TFM 2656) Haul a Westbound KCS Q-CCPQR Loaded Gasoline train destined for Queretaro, Qro., MX and originating from Port of Corpus Christi. Awesome Engineer for the waves while using the Horn Sequencer!Second Train:KCSM 4714 (ES44AC), KCSM 4501 (AC44CW) (Ex-TFM 2601), BNSF 8368 (ES44C4-T4C), BNSF 6017 (ES44AC), and KCSM 4651 (ES44AC) haul a Monster Westbound KCS M-SHSZ!!!! the BNSF 6017 and 8368 had both made their way over to the border on a Westbound KCS M-CCSZ just the night before, when (I guess) they got crossed back Eastbound from KCSM on what was likely a ISLBN/QROBCHI before being removed from the train at the KCS Laredo Yard and placed on this M-SHSZ back to Sanchez Yard. Very Cool lashup!!! Third Train:UP 5385 (C45ACCTE), KCS 4851 (ES44AC), and KCS 4618 (AC44CW) Haul an Eastbound KCS Manifest train into the U.S from Nuevo Laredo after interchanging in from KCSM hauling a massive 100+ car Manifest. Awesome nice sounding RL K5HL on the Foreign leader for KCS Rails. Loved seeing them chugging out of Downtown Laredo once their train had fully cleared. Fourth Train:KCSM 4672 (ES44AC) and KCS 4053 (SD70ACe) haul an Eastbound KCS I-MYNS Destined fo Meridian, MS to interchange over to NS and head over for Atlanta, GA originating from Salinas Victoria, N.L, MX. Awesome 1st Gen. K5HL AKA NF K5HL 2PC Equipped leader!!!!!!!!!!! As sad as this sounds, this is my first time getting one of these KCSM GEVOs with a 2PC in a long time unlike other ones I've gotten leading in the 4650-4679 series. Awesome Conductor for the wave!!Fifth Train:UP 5885 (C44ACCTE), UP 7866 (C45ACCTE), UP 5456 (C45ACCTE), KCS 4609 (AC44CW), KCSM 4548 (AC44CW) (Ex-TFM 2648) Haul a Southbound UP Manifest into the UP Laredo Intl. Bridge Yard through Central Western Laredo destined to be Interchanged over to KCSM in Nuevo Laredo with a pretty nice Lash-up!! Awesome Conductor for the wave as they cruise by Jefferson St.! Cool Crews! | KCS Trains Laredo, TX | 5/30/22 TX Railspotter 2022-08-09 | First Train:KCS 4863 (ES44AC), KCS 5013 (ET44AC), KCS 4809 (ES44AC), KCS 5004 (ET44AC), KCS 4768 (ES44AC), and KCS 4770 (ES44AC) haul a Monster Eastbound KCS Manifest train through downtown Laredo as they continue to fully cross into the U.S at low speeds for inspection despite stretching all the way over into downtown Laredo from the Intl. Bridge. Cool crew for the waves!! Second Train:KCS 4844 (ES44AC) and KCSM 4658 (ES44AC) haul an Eastbound KCS Empty Grain train into the U.S fresh from KCSM in MX and are being inspected as more than half of their train still makes its way through via the Tex-Mex Intl. Bridge. Awesome KCSM Intl. Bridge!!!Third Train:BNSF 5862 (ES44AC) hauls a Westbound KCS V-BNLR Empty Vehicle train after interchanging in from BNSF as either the V-PEAROB, V-ALTROB, V-KCKROB, or V-DENROB. Nice chugging!!!Fourth Train:KCS 4821 (ES44AC) and KCS 4586 (AC44CW) haul a Westbound KCS Manifest destined for the Border to Interchange over to KCSM and cross into MX. Cool Intl. Crew which is in fact the same crew from the Eastbound Grain from Earlier with the 4844 leader!! Hope you enjoy these catches from the afternoon of May 30th!!

UP 1111, KCSM 4520 Grey Ghost, and S&HC from Cool Crew! | UP Trains in Laredo, TX | 7/21 & 7/23/22 TX Railspotter 2022-07-27 | First Train:UP 1111 (SD70ACe) and UP 8737 (SD70ACe) are the leaders for a Southbound UP I-MNMX Manifest + Intermodal train originating from Marion, AR and destined for KCSM Rails in Mexico!! Unfortunately, I had missed the arrival of the train when it came down the UP Laredo Sub and was only able to see it tied down and crewless in the South End of the UP Laredo Intl. Bridge Yard while it awaited its turn along with other SBs to cross into Mexico and be interchanged over to KCSM. Second Train:UP 5594 (C44ACCTE), UP 5715 (C44ACCTE), and UP 8410 (SD70ACe) haul a Southbound UP Loaded Grain Shuttle destined for KCSM Rails in Mexico. Train was coming to a stop for the switch near Baltimore St. Crossing so it's conductor could set the switch so they could continue down the Mainline Track 613. Awesome Crew for the waves from inside the cab! Third Train:UP 7268 (C44AC) and UP 7189 (C44ACM) are the leader for a Northbound UP Manifest train originating from KCSM Rails in Mexico and are hauling North on the UP Laredo Sub 'RG' North-Bound Route Track with an incredible crew!! Right as the train is about to hit the Pierce St. Crossing where I was next to, the engineer decides to give me some good ol Shave and a Haircut while the conductor waves as they go by! This train is destined for the UP Port Laredo Yard where they would then setout the train and build it into a bigger Manifest to be sent out Northbound at a later time. Fourth Train:UP 1111 (SD70ACe) and UP 8737 (SD70ACe) are back from KCSM Rails after a whole 2 days from when they crossed in Leading IMNMX, this time they are hauling a Northbound UP Manifest in the same consist configuration that they had crossed in as. Nice to see Sanchez Yard kept it that way, that way I didn't miss out on 1111 Leading the previous time. I had suspected that it would be crossed back North into the U.S sometime within the next 3 days but certainly wasn't expecting it to happen while I was out already watching trains so this satisfied me even more. Fifth Train:UP 6680 (C44AC) and UP 7968 (C45ACCTE) haul a Southbound UP M-AGMX Manifest bound for KCSM Rails in Mexico and originating from Angleton, TX. Had no idea this Train ID existed as its probably a less frequently ran train. Sixth Train:UP 8986 (SD70AH), UP 8545 (SD70ACe), UP 6866 (C44AC), and KCSM 4654 (ES44AC) haul a Southbound UP M-EWMX Manifest train originating from the Houston, TX UP Englewood Yard and are headed down south through Laredo for the Border to Interchange to KCSM and cross into Nuevo Laredo.Seventh Train:UP 7834 (C45ACCTE) and UP 8151 (C45AH) haul a Northbound UP Loaded Auto train through Laredo via the RG Track and are destined for UP Port Laredo Yard. Nice NF K5HL 1PC AKA 2nd Gen. K5HL Equipped leader!! Eighth Train:KCSM 4520 (AC44CW) (Ex-TFM 2620) and KCSM 4566 (AC44CW) (Ex-TFM 2666) haul a Northbound UP Manifest originating from KCSM and destined for Port Laredo with an awesome KCSM AC44 Duo!!! Glad to have had the more interesting one in the lead with its brutal Forward Facing K5HL!!! Trains on the KCS Laredo Sub and UP Brownsville Sub | 6/25/22 TX Railspotter 2022-07-04 | First Train:UP 8358 (SD70ACe) is the Solo leader for the UP Sinton Turn Job and is hauling Northbound through Refugio from Sinton, TX to work the UPRR Bloomington Yard before proceeding back South. First train catch on the UP Brownsville Sub and it happened to be a 1st Gen. Standard Cab UP ACe with a pretty nice Raised Letter K5LLA! Second Train:KCS 4160 (SD70ACe) and KCS 4608 (AC44CW) are the leaders for an Eastbound, soon to be turned North, KCS Manifest train and are being pulled into Robstown's KCS Spear Siding to be tied down and await for the all clear from UP to be sent away North around the Tex-Mex Jct. onto the UP Brownsville Sub via trackage rights. Incredible Crew for the hornshow and waves!!!Third Train:KCS 4593 (AC44CW) and KCS 4815 (ES44AC) haul a Westbound KCS Manifest out of the Spear Siding and headed West for Laredo to be interchanged over to KCSM in Nuevo Laredo and be crossed into Mexico via the Tex-Mex Intl. Bridge! Once again just an awesome crew for the waves and hornshow!! Sadly, we weren't able to further chase this train as the day had already been ending and we had to head back West for Laredo and arrive before 8 PMHope you enjoy these train spottings from somewhere that isn't Laredo!!!
UP Conductor throws us UP Patch! | KCS & UP Trains in Laredo, TX | 5/29/22 TX Railspotter 2022-06-26 | First Train:UP 3068 (SD70AH-T4), UP 5803 (C44ACCTE), UP 4060 (SD70M), and KCS 4840 (ES44AC) are the leaders for a Southbound UP M-EWMX tied down and crewless in the South End of the UP Laredo Intl. Bridge Yard and are awaiting their turn to be interchnaged over to KCSM and cross into Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico Second Train:KCSM 4673 (ES44AC) and KCSM 4878 (ES44AC-T4C) haul a Northbound UP Manifest train into the U.S after interchanging in from KCSM Rails in Nuevo Laredo and have an awesome UP Crew aboard!!! Was able to chase this train with Sebastion up north to MilePost 406.12 aka the San Lorenzo St. Crossing where the conductor then threw us from the cab some UP Patches !!!Third Train:KCS 4772 (ES44AC) and KCSM 4135 (SD70ACe) haul an Eastbound KCS Empty Grain through Downtown Laredo bound for the KCS Laredo Yard to crew change from the KCSM Intl. Crew over to a KCS U.S Crew who will then haul the train over to Robstown. Had some fun seeing these Trains with Sebastion!!! Hope you enjoy
CSXT 3194 in South Texas!!! | UP Trains in South Texas | 6/12, 6/18-19/22 TX Railspotter 2022-06-21 | First Train:CSXT 951 (ES44AC), UP 7077 (C44ACM), and CSXT 3194 (ES44AH) are the leaders for a Southbound UP G-SWR4D Loaded Grain and are tied down and crewless after just arriving 20 minutes before and await their turn to be interchanged over to KCSM and cross into Nuevo Laredo, Tamps. Sad I couldn't get better shots of 3194 itself since there was a Northbound Manifest train parked right alongside it also tied down and crewless blocking a good shot of the unit. Second Train:UP 8945 (SD70AH) and UP 8200 (C45AH) are the leaders for a Southbound UP M-SAMX originating from San Antonio's UP SoSan Yard and are destined, just like the grain, for KCSM via Laredo, TX and are tied down and crewless alongside the Grain.Third Train:KCS 4816 (ES44AC) and UP 7440 (C45ACCTE) are the leaders for a Northbound UP Intermodal train originating from KCSM Rails in Nuevo Laredo and have been recently crossed out of Mexico and interchanged over from KCSM only to tie down on the UP Laredo Sub 'RG' North-bound Route track 102. Cool to see some massive GEVO power just sitting and idling away tho. CN 3056 (EF-644u) is left sitting and powered off alongside the UP Del Rio Sub and next to Southwest Research Center's Locomotive Technology Center used for emissions testing on Locomotives in San Antonio, TX. Sadly this was the only interesting thing I was able to see while in San Antonio for the day on the 18th. Fourth Train:CSXT 3194 (ES44AH), UP 5678 (C44ACCTE), and UP 6795 (C44AC) haul a Northbound UP M-LDPP Manifest train through Cotulla, TX originating from UP's Port Laredo Yard and destined for Prime Pointe, TX !!! A whole week after 3194 had crossed into Mexico trailing 3/3 on the SB Grain had already passed and I had gotten word that he had already been crossed out of Mexico and was placed in the lead of a Manifest to the Port. Later that day he was in fact departed Port Laredo at 5:52 PM and that's when me and Sebastion initiated a Chase to Cotulla, TX then Dilley, TX !!!Hope you enjoy these catches!!

KCS 4009 + NS Overload in South Texas! | KCS & UP Trains in Laredo, TX | 6/14/22 TX Railspotter 2022-06-20 | First Train:KCS 4009 (SD70ACe), KCS 4595 (AC44CW), and KCSM 4650 (ES44AC) Haul a Loaded KCS Q-KOSL Gasoline train bound for San Luis Potosi, S.L.P in Mexico!! This makes it my 3rd time seeing 4009 and only my 2nd time seeing him leading! Awesome crew for the waves, too!!Second Train:NS 4476 (AC44C6M), UP 5869 (C44ACCTE), and BNSF 5871 (ES44AC) pull their Southbound UP Manifest train up near the border while the Q-KOSL still crosses into KCSM Rails in Nuevo Laredo. They're not yet planning to be put on the bridge by UP, but instead, work the UP Laredo Intl. Bridge yard and setout some cars before proceeding. Third Train:NS 9875 (D9-44CW) and NS 9793 (D9-44CW) haul a Northbound UP Local train out of the UP Laredo Intl. Bridge Yard and north towards the UP Port Laredo Yard. Cool seeing duo Foreign Power Units haul a Local Job over North! Awesome Crew for the waves! Fourth Train:NS 4121 (AC44C6M) and NS 3644 (ET44AC) are the leaders for a Westbound KCS I-BNMY and are destined for the KCSM Salinas Victoria Intermodal Terminal located just on the outskirts of Monterrey, N.L. Was very lucky to see this train Interchange to KCSM and crossed into Nuevo Laredo, Tamps. after missing it go through Downtown Laredo. Fifth Train:NS 1181 (SD70ACe), NS 9690 (D9-40CW), and NS 9752 (D9-44CW) haul an Eastbound KCS I-MYNS destined for Meridian, MS to interchange back to NS and be hauled to Atlanta, GA from there. Awesome Crew aboard which was in-fact a KCSM Intl. Crew who had hauled the train over from KCSM's Sanchez Yard and will continue to haul it all the way over to KCS's Laredo Yard before crew changing with a KCS U.S Crew who will then haul the train over to Robstown, TX. Gotta love a Foreign Power Trio such as this one with a pretty excited Crew too! Sadly, my phone decided to run out of storage for a second as the Head-end went by me. This was quickly resolved by deleting some photos and videos as quick as I could and running East to the crossing nearby to get some final horn action. 4 Trains, 4 Cool Crews!! | KCS & UP Trains in Laredo, TX | 6/1 & 6/4/22 TX Railspotter 2022-06-17 | First Train:KCS 4695 (ES44AC) and KCS 3998 (SD70ACe) haul an Eastbound KCS Manifest through Downtown Laredo bound for the KCS Laredo Yard so the solo Engineer aboard can pick up his conductor before proceeding East to Robstown. Cool engineer for giving us those extra toots while we were on his blind side!Second Train:KCS 4003 (SD70ACe) and BNSF 6747 (ES44C4) haul an Eastbound Empty Coal bound for Robstown to Interchange to BNSF into the U-ROBBKM to Buckskin Mine, Wyoming. I wish I knew the symbol for the train while its on the KCS Side that way I can know exactly where it originates from when coming back Empty but all I know for now is that they originate from Mexico when empty. Cool Crew!!! Third Train:UP 7115 (C44ACM) and UP 7388 (C45ACCTE) haul a Northbound UP Manifest fresh from KCSM Rails in Nuevo Laredo and is in the process or crossing into the U.S and being inspected by both Harbor Rail and Customs and Border Protection for both possible illegal immigrants and for the state of the freight cars from Mexico. Awesome crew!!!Fourth Train:UP 3034 (SD70AH-T4), UP 5512 (C45ACCTE), and UP 6725 (C44AC) (Ex-CNW 8823) are the leaders for a UP M-EWMX originating from Houston's Englewood Yard and destined for KCSM Rails and are finishing up a Crew change just north of the Jefferson St. Crossing before proceeding South off of Track 612 and onto Track 610 of the UP Laredo Intl. Bridge Yard to work the yard before being put on the Intl. Bridge for KCSM.Hope you enjoy seeing these awesome crews as much as I did!
