But all jokes aside, wow ...2 whole years (and change)! It's definitely been a minute. I hope you're all doing well. I missed y'all so much so if you're reading this (DB crew! lol) say hi in the comments and let me know how you've been!This video is gonna be a multipart series sharing the different phases this acrylic painting went through until it got to the end. And even now it's not quite finished. But it's finished enough and already on my wall lol. I don't want to show the finished painting yet because I really do want you to feel like you're going through the journey with me, and if anything, get your paints out and play along. This video is for anyone who wants to just get some good feels through those veins with some relaxing art therapy. There is no wrong way, no right colors....just let go.I did that with this painting and truly didn't care what it ended up looking like. I just wanted to feel the paint again. I'm so glad I did and even happier I recorded it to share with you all. I really do hope it hits home with some of you and inspires you to paint too. This canvas was also the biggest I've ever painted and that used to scare the eff out of me, but it really didn't matter this time lol. I made sure not to think about it and just did whatever. Sigh. Anywho, I’ll be doing my best to keep posting kinda-sorta-semi-consistently however this video was recorded a while ago and I’m still not sure how creative I’m ready to be again. I think what I’ll do is be creative off camera for a while to really see if I can get back into why I started doing art to begin with. One mistake I think I’ve made is constantly stopping myself from being creative due to not wanting to pull the camera out. And because I feel like being creative without recording means you guys missing out on a video, I just put it off. Not good. I feel like it’s super important to do what you love for yourself before anyone else. As you can tell in the video, I absolutely loved how these worked out on everything! The metallics were a slight “meh”, but that is ok because the main event, the stars of the show, were all the markers. And guess what? In my total cluelessness, I didn’t even realize that #1, the nib is reversible and there is a chisel tip on the other end!! (i’ll be sure to show that off in the next video using them!) Also, their website clearly states they can also be used on porous surfaces…. so um… duh me! lol. I didn’t see that part and here I was thinking I was discovering some kinda newness! LMAO! Either way, I loved them! Oh and #3, one good thing to know is that they are removable on non-porous surfaces and permanent on porous surfaces! Creative Journal with me! KissMyCreative 2019-11-29 | Click “Show More” to see all the info below!...Hey y’all! It’s been waaay too long and I’m so sorry I’ve been gone. Long story short, my back issues caught up with me and halted my life again. Sigh. I’m getting better though so thats always a good thing! Anywho, I had some pre-recorded videos from back in October that I hadn’t gotten around to editing due to lack of mojo and so I figured in the meantime while I finish healing up, I’d get them posted for you guys. Part of this video making binge was also finishing up the journal series! That one will come soon as I have to do a voiceover and to be honest I’m not really in the mood for that at the moment lol. But soon! For this video, I wanted to just do some creative collage journaling and go into it intuitively. All I knew was that I wanted to use my new Moleskine, my watercolors and some gold flakes. Everything else just came to me. That's the best kind of art! So super relaxing. Also, a quick update for the upcoming future of this channel. I plan on doing this pre-recording thing much more often because it really made it super easy to get a bunch of videos done and scheduled so that you guys can get something regularly. I’ll be aiming for a posting schedule of Mondays and Fridays at 9am EST. Now, as we all know, Sam isn’t the bestest at keeping up with the consistency of this channel …so don’t hold me to these words TOO TOO strongly (lol), but after “bulk recording” videos and realizing how much easier it makes things, I think I can keep this up. At least for a decent amount of time. Let’s see if I can keep it up until the end of the year! That’s my challenge to myself. Are you in? I hope you’re ready for videos twice a week! I’m excited to create with you. **fingers crossed** P.S. You may or may not have noticed that my website is no longer up. I let the domain expire because I honestly wasn't going to use it.
