ten years ago today, 14-year-old me looked at the Mephiles the Dark AMV I had just made, and said, "you know what? I'm proud of this. I'm going to stick it on YouTube. it's probably the only video I'll ever upload, but I just want to put it out there."

then I kept uploading.

I am 24 now. I really wanted to make a Mephiles the Dark AMV to commemorate, but here's the thing: 1) I couldn't find a fitting enough song, and 2) that AMV way back in 2015 was so difficult to make that I think I'm still too sick of Sonic 06 cutscenes to touch it again. and uh 3) I have been too busy and tired and too much of a procrastinator to meet any sort of video deadline lol

but it would be a waste if I didn't upload SOMETHING! so. I finished a WIP that I had lying around. this video is actually a couple of back-to-back parts for a wonderful MEP that Lena is hosting (sorry I did not get your approval before posting this Lena haslkdjfsd).

it probably would've been better to upload a video that reflects my channel history. if not Mephiles, then maybe a Pokemon or FE video or something. but this was all I had the motivation for. I'm trying to think of it this way -- 14-year-old me would be ECSTATIC at the prospect of getting to edit islamic scholar anime boy yaoi. she would have been OBSESSED with Kavetham (but, well, my current self is obsessed with them, so what's changed I guess)

anyways, thank you all for sticking with me for so long! like 80% of my best friends, I met through this YouTube channel lol. it is such a blessing that we were able to meet and connect over thousands of miles because of a silly little hobby like this. here's to ten more years of youtube and an eternity of friendship!
