"I want to see us continue to call out empire, to pursue integrity, to be present and pay attention to the needs around us, to follow Jesus in what he said and did, to intertwine our lives with the marginalized, to do work that helps someone else flourish. There’s so much for us to do together, but I don’t need to remind you of that. Today, I hope you hear this and let it settle in your spirit: God promises to sustain us. In the ways you think you can sustain yourself but actually can’t, and in the ways it feels impossible – you will be sustained."
