If you’re like us, the Jenna Ortega Netflix series, Wednesday, has you nostalgic for any and all versions of the Addams Family - including the animated films from 2019 and 2021. And if you were paying close attention, you noticed that those movies contain some fun hidden errors. Here are the mistakes you missed in the Addams Family movies.
The Addams Family world doesn’t always behave like ours - and we don’t mean in the fun, creepy, living trees kind of way. The animators make several unintentional errors - like showing road signs 1500 miles away from where they would actually exist, having mobs appear out of nowhere, and failing to properly represent the high traffic posting on neighborhood message board apps.
Did you notice that the creators of the MGM Addams Family films got some details wrong from the original versions of the franchise? The sequel changes Wednesday’s stance on hugs from the first movie. If you kept an eye on the credits or read any promotional materials, you might have seen that the famous Cousin Itt has a name re-spelled like the normal boring word “It.” And Lurch the housekeeper is borrowing a dusting bit that comes not from the old Addams Family tv show, but from its competitor - The Munsters.
