One of the best examples I ever heard was in my first semester at Denver Seminary.
Someone said: “You can be a plumber for God.”

And you could almost feel the whole class exhale.
You don’t have to be a pastor, a minister, or a missionary to serve God.
You can be an interior designer, a stay-at-home parent, a plumber—whatever your job is—and do it with a heart that says:

“Lord, I want to do this well. I want to walk in integrity. And I want to give You the credit—by name.”

So when someone says,
“Wow, you're such a pleasure to have here working on my house,”
you can consider your response, knowing why.
Those everyday moments give us real opportunities to point to Him, in a way that is honest and not coercive, like so many of us have experienced.
