Assuming you're reading this after watching the reveal, this is iiSU: a front-end / launcher founded by yours truly, with the same love and care you normally see in my video content. It was bound to happen eventually, and today marks the beginning of home launchers reaching new heights.
Front-end development is being led by none other than the legendary Huesos - prioritizing the dual-screen branch. Huesos's Patreon: patreon.com/cw/SapphireRhodonite
Back-end development has also initiated and we have more ideas brewing now that a full passionate and talented team is formed.
This is by far the most ambitious thing I've ever done, not to mention this is my first time even designing an app, let alone develop one from scratch. I hope you're as excited as I am, because there's still so much to share in the future!
For those who want to join the Discord, here's the invite link for you! discord.gg/WhSHbWHv
You can reach me there a lot quicker if you have any questions or want to take part in the development process.
I've also created a paypal link for those who want to support iiSU and gain a few perks in the process, like early access when the app reaches its beta phase. ko-fi.com/usagishade
Alright, that covers everything for now! I'll be seeing you a lot more often as I've got a lot of free time to pour into this.

- Til next time!Do More With Your Handhelds - Part 1UsagiShade2025-08-18 | 2 Years away and this is all I can deliver?
Jokes aside, hey. I'm back! This video was originally meant to release in Oct. 2023 for the release of the Odin 2, so some parts might feel outdated by today's standards. I've already elaborated on this in a community post. but the TLDR is that life pulled a Leon Kennedy and round-house kicked me when I least saw it coming. The past 2 years were spent recovering and learning to find myself again. I left the US and have finally settled somewhere I can enjoy life without unnecessary weights.
ALSO WTF, Odin 3 got announced today of all days!?
Anyway... back to the video! I only managed to finished one segment at the time and refused to make anything new until this video was finished. At the very least this can be something to keep you waiting for the new stuff I've been working on!
Expect a teaser for my newest project very soon...
Sorry again for the long wait, and the not-so-finished upload. I'll try to make it up to you all soon. But I hope you enjoy this video either way! I worked really hard on it.Daijishō - An Emulation Frontend With Limitless PotentialUsagiShade2022-09-25 | Emulation Frontends are constantly innovating with new ideas and ways to make your library feel more active and easy to navigate.
By some miracle, I managed to convince the dev to integrate RetroAchievements and we've locked in on the project ever since. I've been working close with Daijishō to create what could be the best frontend experience on Android, and it's been months since this video began production. Consider it a way to point the dev in a unique direction; showing off what some new features could potentially look and feel like and how it could improve the overall experience.
There's some easter eggs here too, see if you can spot some of them...
And of course I'm happy to say I did my best to check for mistakes before rendering this time. 1 frame of the video was out of sync with the fluidity but I rather have 1 bad frame than 100.
PLEASE tell me what you guys think, and be sure to share your own ideas with the dev too! Thank you guys for always being patient with my content, I hope it was worth the wait :)
Daijishō Discord Server: discord.gg/K4YncmrCWhat are RetroAchievements?UsagiShade2021-12-10 | Updates: DreamCast, PS2 and GameCube gained achievement support since this video's release! More dedicated emulators have also brought RetroAchievements outside the constraints of RetroArch: These include GameCube with Dolphin, PSP with PPSSPP, PS2 with PCSX2 and Aethersx2, PS1 with DuckStation, DS with MelonDS, and GBA with PizzaBoy GBA. Dolphin support only paves the way for Wii as well. More on that in the future! I'll try to keep this up to date if any new standalones become available or if new major systems gain support. Also ignore the Twitch link at the end, I no longer stream for privacy reasons.
Finally, I've managed to make a video about something I've been super eager to talk about for the longest time. It almost feels like no one talks about this whenever they bring up retro gaming. Like sure, replaying old games is one of the most fun ways to relive childhood memories, but without incentive it's almost meaningless at times.
Opinions aside, it's something I've been meaning to make a video on for about a year now, so hopefully you guys take an interest too! I'm sure many of you probably already knew about it, but I also feel like not everyone really KNOWS about it, y'know?
Quick mistakes I noticed post-editing: I believe I called one of the sites Cheevo Tracker instead of Cheevo Hunter, and I mentioned info being on the bottom left then having it appear on the top left (that's cause there was a recent update that changed that and I just added in the footage last minute)
To make things even more fun, guess what my top 3 favorite games are based on the footage I used, and also count how many times I said the word "achievement" (plural counts too)
Anyway, hope you all enjoy and have a happy holiday!
I guess I wasn't investing too much time into my favorite hobby, but things have gotten easier since my last upload, so who knows? Maybe this means more frequent videos? Only time will tell.
Something tells me you guys have been waiting for a part 2 to my original list for Japanese PSP games, and I read all of your comments. Honestly, it made me happy to read them all, to the point where I felt motivated enough to make it happen! Heck, it made me want to upload even more if I'm being honest. Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it!
Hope you enjoy today's list, I wanted to improve the visuals a bit. Let me know what you think? ^^Ideal Way To Emulate - Nintendo 3DSUsagiShade2020-03-20 | Hey everyone! This is a new series I'm trying out called "Ideal Way To Emulate"
There's plenty of consoles and handhelds that aren't very straightforward when you just want to play them and feel immersed, so this is just to help others find ways to achieve that goal. I chose the 3DS since it's fairly recent and probably the most complicated to play comfortably.
Hope you enjoy this new format, let me know if there's anything I should fix or add in terms of what you expect out of these. Tries to get this out before everyone gets distracted with Animal Crossing New Horizons, but I don't like to rush out an unfinished project.
Quick Disclaimer:
Yes, there are a few glaring mistakes made during the voice recording process, like me saying "Preferences" instead of "Properties" or me saying "20" instead of "120" Keep in mind I started this in October and putting this together can be a very exhausting process. Just know I'm doing my best and will always aim to improve as I move forward.

I've always wanted to give this a try for years now, and I'm glad I finally put time aside for it.
My favorite handheld of all time is the PSP, and it houses my favorite memories growing up during my teen years; it was a no-brainer honestly.
There will be plenty more videos coming to the channel since I play/record all sorts of games literally everyday. I'm just dying to talk about all of my favorite experiences with you all as well as being able to present it the best way I can for your comfort and viewing pleasure.
