Digital Lock-picking - TryHackMe - Vulnversity Halfzipp 2020-06-11 | This is hopefully the first of many videos on what I call, Digital Lock-picking. This is/was a lock-picking channel, so Im trying to keep with that theme lol. Ive recently gotten back into cyber security, namely pentesting. Ive been going through challenges on the TryHackMe site and am studying for/working towards getting my OSCP. I may do the eJPT (eLearning Junior Pen Tester) first, but we'll see. In this video I take on the Vulnversity challenge. In this challenge we're presented with a website and need to get root on the server. Using a php shell we manage to get a shell on the box, but with only user privileges. We need to get root privileges though and to do that we'll be exploiting a vulnerability in systemctl. Its the first of these types of videos so the format will definitely be changing. There is no talking, but there is some music, so hopefully its ok to watch. In this video I used namp for the initial enumeration and the gobuster to find the hidden directory. I could have use burp suite to automate the file extension checking, but I just did it the manual way, since there was only a handful of extensions to try. From there I could have used Metasploit, but since the OSCP exam only lets you use it on 1 machine, Ive been trying to do everything manually.

I dont normally post on Sunday's but I figured since I didnt pick anything yesterday that I would make up for it with this video. I had to get creative with the tensioning as I made this video before I got the Goat wrench from Sparrows. It was a bit long so I sped up parts of it. [16] Picked - Abus 75IB/50 - This is 6 pins??.. Halfzipp 2019-11-20 | In this episode I open an Abus model 75IB/50, the marine version. This is another Abus dimple lock and a lot of fun. The lock has a lot of feedback, big counter rotation and needs feather light tension. Doesnt have a spring loaded shackle and has a dead core. I made it sound like this was a 5 pin lock but its actually a 6 pin lock. Looking at the bitting again, it seems 3 and 5 may be at shear and I was actually setting 1, 2, 4 and 6. Im still new to these dimple locks and sometimes get a bit lost inside there lol. [15] Picked & Gutted - Mul-T-Lock Jr. - Mistakes were made... Halfzipp 2019-11-16 | In this episode I pick and gut a Mul-T-Lock Jr. I also tried something a bit different in this video, to make it a bit shorter, so I hope you all enjoy that. Some things didnt go so well but the pick itself was good. I really love this lock and still really enjoying picking it, even though Ive opened it several times now. I think everyone should get one of these. They really arent as tough as some people make them seem, and I think its a great way to get in to higher end dimple locks. These locks teach you really good pick placement, because you need good pick placement or youre not finding the inner pins. [13] Picked - Master LOTO 410 - LOTO Lock Wednesday?.. Halfzipp 2019-11-13 | In this episode I open a Master LOTO Lock model 410. I know its not Tuesday but what can you do :). Things went well, which rarely happens on video lol. Only had 1 overset pin, so pretty happy with this one. Really a fun lock to pick although it did take a while for me to get the hang of it. This lock gives great feedback and really loud clicks, probably due to the plastic casing that almost amplifies the clicks. [11] - Picked and Gutted - American 1100 - %$#@!! Overset much?! Halfzipp 2019-11-09 | In this episode I pick and gut an American 1100, my first blue belt lock. The serrated pins and incredibly short and weak springs make it very easy to overset pins, and it happens a lot in this video. I was having a terrible time trying to get this open until I read a few posts that talked about using super light tension. This is what finally did it for me. Just enough tension to hold a piece of paper against a wall. Then use a very gentle touch on the pins, like barely even pushing them up. Once you feel even a small click, move on to the next pin and just keep doing that until it opens. Easier said than done, but this is how I got it open. I end up fast forwarding a big section of this. Didnt want the video to be too long lol. So now I'm pretty much ready to go for my blue belt, which is pretty exciting, and I have a purple belt lock coming in a couple days. [10] Picked - Abus 75IB/30 - Popping My Dimple Cherry Halfzipp 2019-11-06 | In this episode I opened an Abus model 75IB/30. This is the first of many dimple locks that Ill be attempting. So far Im having a lot of fun with them, although I havent tried anything too challenging, yet. I do have a Mul-T-Lock Junior coming, which will definitely be a challenge. The Honest Dong-Shi dimple picks that Im using are so far holding up, but they're getting a bit sketchy. I had to file them down a lot to get into the Abus keyway, so they're starting to twist a bit, which means they're probably going to start breaking soon. [8] Picked - Abus 64Ti/50 - Fast and Furious Halfzipp 2019-10-30 | In today's episode I opened an Abus 64TI/50 which had been giving me issues for days. I could barely get a pin set on this thing until just a couple days ago. I somewhat figured out the binding order, but am still not super comfortable with opening this, or consistent for that matter. This opening actually goes really well, which is always a nice surprise when youre making a video. Usually these things become very shy and forget that they actually open Lol. I definitley need to get more Abus locks. Im a huge fan of their locks and really cant think of anything negative to say about them. [6] Picked - Master Lock 570 - Camera Shy? Halfzipp 2019-10-23 | I opened this lock a couple times before the video, just to get comfortable. Both times I got a false set right away as I set pin 1. Of course this time, on camera, I get nothing from pin 1. Needless to say, it took a bit longer than expected to get it open lol. If you noticed the bunch of orange padlocks on the sides of the video, those are 12 Abus 72/40s that I picked up from Amazon. Got them for under $5CAD each, in a case of 12. Im going to be gutting them and turning them into challenge locks. I figure thats a bit nicer than the usual Kwikset rim locks that people use for challenge locks. SOCEX 03-18 - TFE - Were getting flanked! Halfzipp 2018-03-19 | This is some footage from Sunday's SOCEX 03-18 on TF Echo. There were some server issues so it was just ACE and Weapons on TF Echo, which actually turned out really well. We were tasked with providing security while extracting pilots from a downed chopper. We had some contacts, almost got flanked, but I saved us, and we got to blow some shit up, which is always a good thing lol. I believe we have one more of these and if we've done well, we'll be getting deployed.
