/rant - Metroid Other M Counterpoint - Part 1 (Thesis)
updated
Asagos is a horror/mystery game set within the Canadian Parliament buildings during a fateful evening in 1916. You play as an Inspector of the Dominion Police, tasked with meeting a Member of Parliament to discuss a unique astronomical event. But the hill has far greater secrets lying in wait.
Question the range of suspects within Parliament Hill, but be careful not to reveal too much. Drawing too much attention to yourself and from the wrong people could entice what lays beneath.
Features
- A Subtlety System, which reacts to your questions, making the game easier or harder depending on your choices.
- Evade the Manifestations that stalk Parliament's halls, drawn to your intrusion.
- Explore Canada's secret history, interacting with a range of famous political figures... yes that is supposed to be a good thing.
- A beautiful soundtrack by Sam Dillard.
- Allegedly Edutainment.

Based on the hit video game franchise, The Legend of Zelda, this tribute highlights many key moments and characters throughout the entirety of the series. For the most part. Like the almighty Triforce from the game itself, this video is split into 3 parts representing a different piece of the Triforce. The more personable aspects, characters, locals and their connection with one another (Wisdom). The adventure that leads away from this life (courage). And the challenges that await (Power). There's also a few characters included who probably don't belong.
This video is made using footage from nearly every Zelda game, which I recorded and edited together with some existing trailers and artwork. Originally I intended to finalize it with footage of the upcoming Wii Zelda from their first trailer. But since it wasn't shown this year, I may, or may not make a second version with said footage. At least this one has the privilege of being our first HD video.

The Legend of Zelda (1986)
The Adventures of Link (1987)

The following is a project filmed as part of my 3rd year at Humber College. This commercial advertises the Warhammer 40,000 (40K) franchise created by Games Workshop in 1987. Currently in its 5th Edition this series began as a table top game in which players were thrust into the distant future where they controlled various species fighting for their very survival. The commercial itself was created using existing models which were filmed on 16mm (36 was reserved for the "special students"*)

*I'm not suggesting there is a 36mm, it was just an inside joke that will appeal to about ten people.
