The DJI Goggles 2 and DJI Integra goggles are not comfortable. At least, not for everyone. I, for example, always struggle to see clearly bottom part of the screens. Screens are very close to eyes and they move down when put on my face. As a result, lower 20% of the screens were always blurry.

I tried different replacement foam faceplates and nothing really worked. Until I got iFlight sponge foam faceplate Type B. It’s very important: Type A almost the same as original foam. Type B moves goggles further away from my eyes. Works great!

The ORQA FPV goggles “bricking” incident might not be a ransomware attack or even a criminal action after all. I mean, we don’t know what the contract between ORQA and the contractor SWARG said about licensing of the bootloader, but there are signs that the whole thing might not be as one-sided as ORQA announced in their Public Statement

ORQA FPV goggles are getting bricked if they are turned on after 29th of April 2023. Looks like it’s a “ransomware” or maybe a bug, maybe license mess? From the limited amount of independent information we kind of know that this is a dead-hand trigger put by a contractor. Why? Don’t know! But we saw naked Bardwell, and that’s something.
There will be a second video on this topic later. With some extra angles, especially of the Orqa Public Statement.

It took me a while, but I finally got the Walksnail Avatar Digital FPV system. Both the goggles and a VRX, together with the Avatar HD Pro VTX and camera. And you know what, this thing actually makes a lot of sense. By all means, it’s not perfect, but has some features that make it stand out. And to some extend, might be the best FPV system out there. Many say that INAV or Ardupilot require magnetometer/compass on a FPV drone to fly. This is not true! Both INAV and Ardupilot will fly perfectly well without a magnetometer. Compass is only an optional sensor. Not mandatory. But INAV will require MAG to perform one specific function: Position Hold and Return To Home. If you don’t plan using them, you don’t need magnetometer at all!

We as a RC and FPV community can thank FrSky for many thing. After all, years ago they gave us good and cheap(er) radios and stable radio links that allowed us to fly further and safer. FrSky X9D Taranis is still a valuable radio today. However, FrSky gave as many headaches too. D8, D16, Inverted, Uninverted, R9 Flex and so on. They also gave us the full spectrum of RC protocols: SBUS (Yes, I know, SBUS is Futaba), SmartPort, FPort, FPort2. Now they have something new. And if you ask me, they should stop already. Speeding up FPort2 and naming it FBUS is really too much…
Works with INAV and Ardupilot. Currently, looks like one of the most interesting wing flight controllers on the market!

If you fly with 7-inch FPV drones then INAV 6 is the best firmware for you! Not only INAV has amazing GPS support like Position Hold or real Return To Home, INAV 6 greatly simplified the setup by adding a dedicated preset option for 7-inch quads. This video shows what is what as well as describes the most important settings that affect 7-inch cruisers, long-rangers and freestyler. Or 7-inch racer drones if you are into that. Who knows.

The first one is a HGLRC M100 Mini GPS equipped with the Ublox M10 GNSS chipset. It’s small, it’s light and M10 is right now the best you can get on the market.
