I kept this one lowkey, with an emphasis on bass. Just like how barren and void the Rift is, the song reflects the same. There's a few changeups here and there to help keep it interesting, though!
A noteblocker named Pigler (who really likes necron doom) made a fanmade song for this area called Rift Lords which had a cool melody. So I took inspiration from that at 2:05.

During the 2020 lockdowns, I had time to immerse myself in the game's world, narrative, and gameplay mechanics. This mystery visual novel requires players to uncover its intricate and complex plot through unique methodology to its gameplay.

I will explore what led me to invest hundreds of hours in the game, and how it impacted me, using Lacanian, Freudian, and Jungian psychoanalysis.

It's rather calming, and I'm very proud of the chord progression I use in the middle of the song (the part where there isn't really any melody, just a rhythm to chill and relax to).
Maybe I could extend it or turn it into a real song? Either way, I don't have the time to do it unless it gets commissioned...

For this track I tried to do it in the style of Hyperdron's original songs for Hypixel, where it's bouncy and upbeat and has a bit of funk. Hopefully I got it close to that style!

I stepped out of my comfort zone to do a new style of a fight track with a hot, desert-y feel. It uses a mix of double harmonic and phrygian dominant scale, kinda making it sound like a Shantae battle theme. Was a fun challenge, and I think I pulled it off quite well. Was my first time really focusing on those scales, normally I just stick to pentatonic minor ahahaha

【Note Block】 Hypixel Skyblock OST | The Wither King (Boss Theme 4)

ShinkoNet 2022-03-03 | This is an original boss BGM / fight song called "The Wither King", made for Hypixel's Skyblock game on the Hypixel Minecraft Server. It is the battle theme for The Catacombs' Floor 7 Master Mode boss, who is also named the Wither King. Hope you enjoy!

So, I needed to create something similar to Necron's track but even more powerful. Kinda a challenge! I hope it came out that way in the end.
It uses leitmotifs of all the previous bosses to start with, to remind the player of how far they've come. I was able to take the melody from one of the most relaxing tracks in the game - Journey in the Sky - and turn it into one of the most fast paced and initimidating ones. Hah!
This is as close to power metal I can get in note blocks. Maybe one day, I might do a full instrumentation...

I went for something synthwave-y while still being a generic cave theme. There's not much else I can really say about this track.

Oh, you can watch this in 4k resolution if you for some reason ever wanted to do that. Makes the notes look nice and crisp, eh?
Anyway, likely the last hypixel note block upload for the year. I'm waiting for more content to be added so I can make more music for that.
Heck, this track was supposed to be implemented a while back, but in the next few weeks it should eventually pop up in-game.

ShinkoNet 2021-06-23 | This is an original boss BGM / fight song called "Dungeon Drama!!", made for Hypixel's Skyblock game on the Hypixel Minecraft Server. It was made as the battle theme for a few bosses in The Catacombs from Scarf to Sadan. Today I have remixed it in a style similar to the games Ginga Force and Natsuki Chronicles. Hope you enjoy!

I wasn't happy with my previous attempt in this style, so I redid it from scratch with proper attention to my instrumentation, mixing, and mastering. Then gave it a special promo video to top it all off.

RMG is a group of musicians who create music in Minecraft over at bilibili, a Chinese video-sharing website. With cooperation with the project organiser, I am introducing their work to YouTube.

The best thing about this collaboration video is how it encapsulates the crazy amount of different ways the Chinese side of Minecraft has been able to bring music into the medium. They don't deal exclusively in note blocks; they have unique visualisers, command block and datapack-based music, and a lot of resource packs that change the instrumentation and feeling of the music. Hence, they are the Redstone Music group - a blanket term for all the different mediums music can be created inside of the game.

ShinkoNet 2021-05-04 | I have recreated the Extra Stage Boss, Momoyo Himemushi's theme "Dragon-King-Slaying Princess" from "Touhou 18 ~ Unconnected Marketeers". Hope you enjoy!

This is a day 0 MIDI release. I tried to make it as accurate as possible to the original. However, because ZUN is using new instruments like a sweep pad and TR-909-based drum patch (FINALLY!!!), I had to take a few liberties and use similar instruments instead of the exact same ones.

I dislike the final boss theme for numerous reasons, so I don't think i'll be transcribing that one this time. This EX boss theme just blows it out of the water anyway, so I went with this instead.

I think I packed in enough power into this song. In the game it's actually split into four phases, with each section repeating itself until the boss has been damaged enough to enter the next phase. Hopefully this song structure helped compliment the boss fight, as I haven't done anything like it before. My favourite part is the anvil rave section. I took heavy inspiration from Ryu Umemoto's work when creating this track. I'm rather proud of the introductory segment's chord progression, and how it eventually leads on to something sounding like my other track Onward to Unknown.

Why are the notes so tiny? Bentroen (the other Note Block Studio dev) has been working on UI scaling in the program, so I can finally zoom out and show more notes at once without turning my monitor vertical! I still had to scroll a bit in this song due to the sheer amount of layers it uses (can't use the macro features for note panning and note velocity just yet because Hypixel's plugin only supports layer effects!)

It seems that the previous video was successful in introducing more people from around the world to the Redstone Music Group in China, so more bilibili users have contacted me to request cross-site uploads of their work onto here for further promotion, as they cannot access YouTube/Google services.

It is a tribute cover for Wowaka, who was an amazing vocaloid producer who sadly passed away at age 31 due to acute heart failure. Q_Jiada put all his skills and knowledge of note block creation over a long period of time to make this video for him. It is a project that started back in 2018 when he first was learning to make note block songs, with a production time of three years.

This was a collaboration video with a friend on Bilibili called 孤瓜老人, who did a lot of the base work of the song. We worked together to make it sound the best it could.
