Even though, this is where the center of the cone places the storm, a track that passes through Tampa isn't out of the question. Regardless, it's looking like the Tampa Bay area will see a lot of rain and at least hurricane force winds on Wednesday. Stormy weather could begin on Tuesday evening.Also, as you can see, this is the National feed of The Weather Channel. The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 8/8/23 Weatherman99 2023-08-08 | If you guys were wondering, I'm still able to receive the Boca Raton IS2 streaming through the Xfinity Stream app. An excessive heat warning was issued, which is very rare for the area. In fact, it's pretty rare for Excessive Heat Warnings to be issued in Florida in general. Though, as we can see, temps have been in the mid 90s for many days all around Florida this summer. It's just been an unusual summer with very little rain.

Today, there was a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued as the storm cell approaching the Boca Raton area from the North has been producing hail. You can hear in the tonight forecast that small hail is possible.
The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 5/13/23 Weatherman99 2023-05-13 | Fairly decent weather for May in the Boca Raton area. Surprisingly, high temps in South Florida have been a little cooler than in Tampa. Highs in Tampa are in the low 90s, while in Boca Raton, they're around 86 degrees. I am back in Tampa Bay now and I still have access to my Xfinity Stream account. We'll see how long that'll last, but so far it's still working.

The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 4/13/23 Weatherman99 2023-04-13 | The rainy days of April continue. Today, there is severe weather with thunderstorms going from West to East. These severe warned storms looked like they were headed for Boca Raton, however, the storms seemed to diverge just before. But now there is heavy rain in Fort Lauderdale again. I don't know if y'all saw, but just south of Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale had the craziest weather day that I have ever seen yesterday.Where I was, in Boca Raton, I saw continuous rains all day long; totaling to about 3 inches of rainfall. But down in Fort Lauderdale, that was insane. I don't think I've ever seen a storm that was originally moving just stop over an area. But that was what happened in Fort Lauderdale, where a storm that dropped heavy rain, indicated on radar with the red color, stayed right over the Fort Lauderdale area for at least six hours or more. In total, I'm pretty sure it rained for 8-10 hours straight for most of the South Florida area. But in Fort Lauderdale, there was about 20ish inches of rain. So yeah, being (somewhat) of a witness to this strange weather event, I would say it felt very reminiscent of Tropical Storm Nicole from last year... perhaps worse.Today, there's been sunny skies early on, but now in the afternoon, there are some thunderstorms passing by. This seems like a more typical type of weather pattern for Florida.

This storm, with the heavy rain and 20 mile per hour winds, is similar to a weak tropical storm in some regard. There is even a Flash Flood Warning just South of here for the Miami area as South Florida continues to see rainy conditions all day long.

I am expecting my Xfinity on Campus account to be deactivated, but frankly I am not sure what'll happen to it, post graduation. So yeah, that'll be happening soon. There have been many recordings of the Yorba Linda IS2 from other Weather Channel youtubers, mainly from the Spectrum TV app that pulled the IS2 feed and provided that stream on the National feed or other feed in the app. I am not sure if this Yorba Linda feed is the actual feed on the stream, but regardless, I thought it'd be cool to record a LF from this Californian weather star since I've never seen the Yorba Linda IS2 myself.
Frontier Communications TV channel surfing (2023) Weatherman99 2023-03-09 | It's been a little over a year since I last recorded a channel surfing on Frontier and the lineup looks a little different since then. Frontier continues to remove channels. Some of the notable channels that Frontier dropped are NBA League Pass channels, NBA and NHL networks, the GSN channel, and others. NBCSN ceased operations too. Overall, Frontier FiOS seems to be shrinking pretty quickly as they can't afford networks as time goes on. Nonetheless, here are all the channels, from channel 2 to channel 1797.

On the radar, there is the Mix and Snow indicators. The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 11/24/22 Weatherman99 2022-11-25 | I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. This is a local forecast I recorded yesterday and I'm just uploading now. I spent the Thanksgiving at a relative's house in the Tampa Bay area. Here in this local forecast, Boca Raton is staying very warm with highs in the mid 80s. In Tampa, we've been having cloudy conditions mainly with temps in the upper 70s. Certainly not cool weather by any means for pretty much all of Florida, but at least Tampa is not getting mid 80s like in Boca Raton.
The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 11/10/22 Weatherman99 2022-11-10 | Tropical Storm Nicole is now leaving Florida. Right now, Tampa is getting some heavy rain. Though, that rain threat should be ending in a hour or so. But overall, in Boca Raton, we're just getting some decent winds and that's about it. The rain and wind ended last night around 2 am as the eye of what was Hurricane Nicole lifted past my area, bringing the rains out of Boca Raton and South Florida. I think Boca Raton wind gusts peaked at 35 to 40 mph. The highest wind gust report on The Weather Channel was 37 mph. With the current advisory of TS Nicole being 45 mph, and its current discombobulated form, I think it's safe to say, the wind threat from the eye of the storm is pretty much over. Everything was perfectly normal and then the radar happened and the IS2 presentation just froze after that. After the LF, the national LDL is seen. The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 11/9/22 Weatherman99 2022-11-10 | Some of the inner bands near the eye of the hurricane pass through Boca Raton. It is absolutely pouring right now. This squall line is the real deal. This band of rain looks and feels like a hurricane as the gusts continue to pound buildings. This rain and heavy wind should be over by noon tomorrow though. I know The Weather Channel always says 5 miles per hour from 70 to 75 mph doesn't make a difference, but psychologically, it feels like a more powerful storm now that Nicole is a hurricane.Features the 2013 Storm Alert theme.

It's pretty much time to hunker down and endure the storm for the next couple of days. There may be some strong winds locally and a lot of rain for sure. So yeah, there are (perhaps) tropical systems in November. I'll continue to be here to see what happens as this storm system makes its way towards the East coast of Florida. Though, it does not seem to be the same caliber of a storm as Hurricane Ian.

We'll be getting some windy conditions as the storm slowly pulls away. Ian is so discombobulated now that it is a tropical storm-like hurricane (hurricane conditions only in a small area), and the storm is dying out now. But man southwest Florida took a hard hit when Ian was at its peak strength approaching landfall. So much wind and storm surge flooding around Punta Gorda and in the Fort Myers area in general. There was so much rain (and tornados) the past day. But today, it looks like there won't be much rain shockingly as South Florida is in the part of the hurricane where there's less storms. Though, as the eye is making its way into southwest Florida, the winds will be gusting to Tropical storm force locally. How bout that 155 mph eye though? Let me be clear, I'm not actually in California, I just got the Spectrum feed of the IS2. Looking at this LF, it looks like the Pacific coast is one of the few places in the US where it isn't overly hot. At least not yet. The low temps in the 60s are great though.

IntelliStar Emulation - 6/29/22 Weatherman99 2022-06-30 | Rainy days ahead! Testing out a new IS1 emulator. I could not open anything at all while I was making this. My 8 GB of RAM was maxed out. When the RAM usage got up to about 96%, I had to re-open everything. I'm using the minimum amount of products for the sake of time. Also the radar doesn't zoom in to the local doppler radar because I forgot to record it zoomed in. I must say I love the quality. Everything is bright and the quality is amazing for 480p. The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 6/13/22 Weatherman99 2022-06-13 | This is a quality test of my new HDMI splitter. Before this, all of my IS2 recordings were in 1080i. So with the interlaced recordings, they had to be re-rendered before I uploaded them. To me recording off of the Fire TV stick looks better than other IS2 recordings or when I recorded my laptop screen. Also look at those high temperatures! Pretty much all of Florida will be witnessing highs around 90 and lows near 80. A little heat wave this week.

The Weather Channel - Local on the 8s 5/27/22 Weatherman99 2022-05-28 | Since I've been home, my Xfinity login stayed logged in on my Amazon fire stick, and so to record my fire stick, I had to connect it to an HDMI to AV out converter before recording it with my HD PVR. And yes, it is 480i quality but I'm too lazy to buy a HDMI splitter. So this was the only way to bypass the silly HDCP protection. Now that it is almost June, you can see the typical Florida forecast in the summer with a chance of showers every day with highs near 90 and lows in the mid 70s.
IntelliStar Emulation - 5/10/22 Weatherman99 2022-05-11 | Here is an impromptu emulation that I made for Tampa Bay. I totally changed my emulator project. The project is now in 480p SD quality. I did this because YouTube no longer gives me the option to crop the video, so this is the only way to preserve the native 4:3 output. Real forecasts and data of course. Also, something minor, but some of the CC obs on the LDL can be seen falling down while on the radar.
