This piece, similar to my last one (Souderture), is the result of starting something almost a year ago, forgetting about it, and then finding it and finishing it in two days!I cant help but love the idea of the Royal guards of Equestria being a formidable military. After seeing the awesome art of "Equestria Previals" I decided to make a song that depicts both the Celestial and Lunar guards.---------------------------------------------------------------------------The beginning of the song represents both branches in unison, a theme for the whole military really. The melody shifts, followed by a representation of the Celestial guard. The upbeat Celtic style depicts the energy and regal nature of their branch. The tone shifts to a a heavy percussion filled section, showing their ability to successfully defend the princess of the sun.The mood then fades to a more sinister sounding, but ultimately justifying feel. I played around with major and minor chords in this progression and I hope to represent this branch by showing how they are just as loyal and regal as their sister branch, though shrouded in mystery when surveying under the princess of the moon.Finally the song comes to a massive sudden, epic, explosion of awesomeness. This last section was my way of returning back to the unified equestrian guard. Both sides fighting side by side, capable of defending the boarders of Equestria with full military prowess.
