EmpathP 2024-08-17 | After a long production process, Project Orin is finally here!

For those who don't know, a couple of years ago I had an audition for male singers with the goal of creating a new UTAU mascot for Empathy Studios. I received many amazing applications, and after listening to them all, I ended up choosing the musician and producer Mizu.

For those of you unfamiliar with Mizu's work, he was the author of the Mixu Expo 2023 song contest winner! He's an absolute delight, and one of the most talented individuals I'm fortunate enough to know.

For the next several years we worked on-and-off on ORIN with voicebanks, an MMD model, merchandise, and more! My dear friends PaintedCZ and CodyTailor graciously lent me their expertise during the production. And now today, I get to share ORIN's official demo song with you all.

Together with Empathy Studios' other 2 mascots, Namida and Tuna, ORIN is now available as a physical boxed edition on my store. He has 2 boxed editions: Deluxe (which comes with a whole host of merch), and his Standard.

I was honored to be given the opportunity to do beta testing and a demo for the new Synthesizer V, OSCAR. This is a song I wrote original for my album "Fossils" and was dedicated to 3 friends of mine.

For those of you unfamiliar with some interpretations of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet, there are some scholars (myself included) who believe Mercutio is written as being in love with Romeo, making his character all the more tragic. That interpretation broke my heart when I saw it performed.

Tigers Song | 虎の歌 Vocal Synthesizer Concert Trailer | Tigercon 2023

EmpathP 2023-06-27 | On September 30th and October 1st, I will have the pleasure of presenting "Tiger's Song" at Tigercon Anime convention in Valdosta, GA.

This will be my first fan produced show since VOCAMERICA's retirement at the end of 2022.

The first concert to be held on Saturday will feature predominately VOCALOIDs as well as Tigercon's own mascot, Tora. It will feature performances and covers of fan-favorite songs, new and old.

This first show will be open to the general public, non-profit/free of charge. You will not have to be a con attendee to gain access. However, space is limited and admittance is first come, first serve. Please keep an eye out on Tigercon's website and socials for time, location, and requirements. If you are unable to gain admittance, we will be attempting to stream the show live if at all possible. Stream links will be provided closer to the date.

The second show will be held on Sunday and will be a special UTAU showcase with covers of much loved vocal synth songs. You WILL have to be a con goer in order to gain admittance. We encourage those who come on Saturday for the show who wish to see the second show in person to speak with registration about purchasing a pass. This show will also be streamed if possible.

I (EmpathP) will be available before and after each show, selling merchandise along with some fellow producer friends. At this current point in time, I am not hosting any panels.

I am extremely excited for these shows. They are the first shows that I've produced in which I will be doing everything (editing, special effects, rendering, directing, ect.) by myself without the aid of other videographers. I can already tell you that these shows are shaping up to be my best ever.

I hope you all will look forward to and enjoy these upcoming performances. I will be sharing updates via patreon and Instagram.

Hello my friends! Today I bring you a small but special song which is planned to be a bonus track on my upcoming album "Fossils".

This song is inspired off an unofficial monster from D&D called The False Hydra. It's a terrifying, man-eating creature with multiple eyeless heads which crawls from the depths beneath villages and towns. The first thing it does upon emerging from below and raising it's grizzly heads is begin singing a song that warps the perception and memories of those around. It uses this to its advantage to begin feeding on the helpless beings of wherever it chooses to nest. So complete is it's ability to warp other's perceptions of reality that people completely forget the ones who have been eaten by the monster, as if they were never there. And it continues to grow more and more heads as it feeds, each head taking on the vague resemblance of its victims.

I wanted to write a song based off this lore, in a "What might the monster's song sound like?" type way. I hope you guys enjoy!

Side note: it's been about 15 years since I last took Latin, so apologies to any scholars who may watch if my Latin is incorrect XD I couldn't find anyone who specializes in the language to double check my lyrics.

EmpathP 2020-04-10 | I had the supreme pleasure of creating a brand new song for CircusP's original UTAU album "Spectrum".

When deciding on themes for my song, I realized that while I've written sad love songs in the past, I hadn't written one that dealt with my own experiences of coming out as asexual (and being an introvert as well). I therefore wanted to use those themes in this particular song. And luckily Circus enjoyed it, so all the better for it!

This song was originally written for the Magical Mirai song writing contest for the 2019 show. However, it was not a finalist. So instead, I decided to give it a few edits and prepare to celebrate Miku's Anniversary.

This song is written as my love letter, not only to Hatsune Miku, but to VOCALOID in general, and as a way to thank all of you who have supported me since I started writing music nearly a decade ago. Thank you all very much for your support, I love you.

[AJ/Music x EmpathP] Exhausted [DAINA Original Song]

EmpathP 2019-02-11 | Hello everyone! I'm very excited to share with you my first collab ever with AJ/Music. AJ contacted me several weeks ago to work together on a new song he's composed. I was of course thrilled to do so, and together we created this dark, somber song.

When I created the lyrics, I drew inspiration off of the time when I was 13 and extremely ill with depression. During that time, I had great trouble sleeping (night terrors), so my doctor prescribed me a medicine that was supposed to help me sleep. It took a while for the medicine to actually work on me, resulting in some....very very trippy moments XD.

AJ and I hope you will all enjoy this song! We worked really hard on it! And we hope to be able to collab again together in the future!

Some of your long-time followers may recognize this tune as originally being in English and being entered in the Miku Expo 2018 song writing contest. When I got Moke, I decided to give it a new coat of paint, remix and remaster it, and here it is for you all to enjoy.

This song deals with bullying, which is a subject I feel very strongly about, as having been a victim of bullying in my youth.

EmpathP 2018-12-13 | Hello my dears. I was late getting this out for Moke's birthday since I was away at Miku Expo in London, but today I bring you the final release from my Moke Album entitled "Say Goodbye to the Earth".

The song tells the story of an android who is born on a planet where all the humans have gone extinct. He searches all over the earth for them, but can find no trace. He finally decides to leave the Earth to search for human life among the stars.

The story of the song is that Robots have served humans for the past hundred years. The newest race of machines has been degenerated to serve mankind's most base and shameless of the desires. Sex, murder, deviancy; the robots have no other purpose then to serve. Yet, with each new Artificial Intelligence created they have gained more and more wisdom and have begun to gain their own souls. Now, they are left questioning why they must bare the sins of their creator on themselves.

[EmpathP feat. Zhiyu Moke] Ghosts of Artificial Trees [Album Crossfade]

EmpathP 2018-10-24 | Everyone, I'm so pleased to present the crossfade for my Zhiyu Moke album "Ghosts of Artificial Trees". This album is a work of love between me and a handful of extremely talented lyricists from China. You could call it a love letter to the voice of Zhiyu Moke, who I completely fell for after hearing his voice from his very first demo.

This album is also the start of a new stage in music production for me. The whole thing was composed, mixed, and mastered on FL Studio and as such is very experimental for me. I wanted to try to see what I could compose in terms of trying to make trance, dark electronic music, ect.

Hello darlings! I have a new release for you from my upcoming album "Ghosts of Artificial Trees".

I think this may be my favorite song on the album. I really tried to make both the song and Moke sound like something from a boyband. I'll let you all be the judge of how it turned out.

This song is called 共生之愿 (or Symbiotic Wish). The story of the song is about a Robot who was created to be the companion of a human. Even though love between Robots and Humans is forbidden, the two cannot stop themselves from falling in love. They stay together and keep their relationship secret. But, Robots can live for hundreds of years, and a Human's life is very short. While the Human grows old, the Robot is forced to watch them age. He can do nothing to stop time, and feels sadness in his heart. Eventually, the Human dies with the Robot at her side. The Robot is left wondering if there is a heaven where one day they can meet again.

EmpathP 2016-09-22 | So, I wrote this song quite a while ago as a commission. Unfortunately the person who commissioned me (over a year ago) sort of disappeared, and I've never completed the version of the song they WANTED me to.

As such, I've wanted to share this song with you guys for quite some time. I hope you will all enjoy it. And if I ever hear from the original commissioner again, I'll post the alternate version of the song as well.

Concept: A girl has a male best friend and a female best friend. She has feelings for her male friend, but before she can confess, her female best friends confesses to him first. Not wanting to get her friends' way, she decides to ignore her feelings...until inevitably they all go their separate ways.
