The Legendary Campagnolo Complete Tool Case #biketools #vintagebike Jim Langley 2024-05-21 | Campagnolo's Complete Tool Case is the stuff of legend and one of a kind as bike toolkits go. This one is from the late 1960s. It has the full wooden box with wood tool holders too (after this Campy went to a plastic liner). Campagnolo designed this comprehensive set of spectacular tools and the lovely wooden case to keep them in when bicycles were made of steel. At that time it was common practice for framebuilders to leave the bottom bracket, head tube and steerer on frames and forks raw, unfinished. With a Campagnolo Tool Case on your workbench, you had easy access to the precision machining tools in this amazing kit. They let you prepare frames and forks perfectly to get them ready for assembly into a bike - a job which could be done with the rest of the tools in the kit!While they're no longer produced, Campy Complete Tool Cases (part #3380 in Campy catalogs) do exist on the collectible market and turn up every now and then on eBay, etc. They are still amazing to own and use if you work on classic vintage steel bikes. Many of the tools are also still prized for working on modern bikes as well.
