Wood Brain by Lindsay ZuelichDIY Dog House Build for Our English Bulldog Zoey | Charity Dog House Competition with Recycled Materials & Water Feature
Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m going to show you how I built a unique dog house for our English Bulldog, Zoey, as part of a fun charity dog house competition with a group of talented makers. The competition rules are simple: build a doghouse with a roof or roof-like structure, use at least one recycled item, and incorporate a water feature.
How I Built This Dog House: Zoey is not the typical "dog house" dog, but she loves small, tight spaces and often curls up underneath our chairs. I took that into account when designing the dog house, making it cozy and inviting for her. I had a lot of wood on hand, so I only purchased a few 2x3s to build the basic structure. The rest of the materials came from items I already had, which helped me keep costs low.
For the water feature, I added a recycled aquarium I found for 50% off ($12) and included a few feeder fish for only 40 cents each. My goal was to keep the entire project under $100 by using as many recycled materials as possible. I also modified a set of cushions from Amazon to fit the dog house, saving time and money compared to buying foam and fabric.
One cool design element was cantilevering a glass globe (found for $3 at Goodwill) over the surface of the water, allowing the fish to swim above it for a unique effect. Zoey is still getting used to the dog house, but I love spending my mornings on the bench, watching the fish swim around.

Hey friends! In this video, I’m sharing how I built a custom redwood surround for our inflatable Coleman hot tub (from @Lowes). This project combines woodworking skills, a little creativity, and a lot of fun!
🔨 Step-by-Step Process 1️⃣ Foam Base Template: Started with a 1/2” foam base from Amazon, trimmed 6 inches, and used it as a guide to trace the hot tub’s shape onto brown construction paper. 2️⃣ Framing the Structure: Cut arcs from 2x12 lumber using a jigsaw (and later a bandsaw for more accurate cuts). 3️⃣ Assembly: Used my @FestoolUSA Kapex miter saw and @KregToolCompany Foreman jig to add pocket holes for easy assembly. 4️⃣ Redwood Covering: Covered the frame with redwood boards, sealing them with @TotalBoat Gleam varnish for durability and shine. 5️⃣ Finishing Touches: Added angled top boards, filled nail holes with a glue-and-sawdust mix, and installed COB LED string lights for a beautiful glow at night.
🛠️ Hot Tub Cover Hack I modified the Coleman cover by removing snaps, cleaning it with acetone, and separating the insulated sections to improve heat retention.

#DIYHotTubSurround #Woodworking #ColemanHotTub #LowesPartner #TotalBoatI Built a STUNNING Shed in Just One WeekendWood Brain by Lindsay Zuelich2024-09-27 | DIY Surfboard Shed Build | Custom Shed for Sports Equipment Storage
Hey friends! In this video, I’m building a custom shed off the back of our garage to safely and neatly store my husband Eric’s surfboard collection and other sports equipment. This shed solves the problem of sawdust and debris collecting on his boards (thanks to my workshop in the garage!) while creating more storage space for his growing collection.
🛠️ Why We Needed This Shed Previously, Eric’s boards were stored in a sliding-door closet I built in the garage. Over time, the collection grew, and we needed a dedicated space. That’s where my partnership with @84LumberCompany came in to bring this idea to life.
🔨 Step-by-Step Shed Build Process 1️⃣ Prep the Build Site:
Switched the hinges on our vinyl fence to improve access to the back of the garage. 2️⃣ Building the Base:
Constructed a platform with pressure-treated 2x4s, leveled it, and added a ¾-inch plywood floor sealed with paint and stain for durability. 3️⃣ Framing the Shed:
Built the back and side walls with 2x4s and ½-inch plywood, pre-painting and staining the materials. Designed the front wall with a large opening for easy access. 4️⃣ Adding the Roof:
Mimicked the garage roof’s slope, framing it with pocket hole joinery. Installed a ¾-inch plywood roof, sealed soffits, and added PVC fascia boards. 5️⃣ Finishing Touches:
Installed a custom surfboard rack for efficient storage. Stored additional sports equipment to make the shed versatile. Check out the roofing video tutorials I referenced: How to Install Roofing

🎵 Music by Epidemic SoundTransform your Door with Gold Leaf GildingWood Brain by Lindsay Zuelich2024-06-28 | Rebuilding a Side Garage Door with Reverse Gold Leaf Gilding | DIY Door Transformation
Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m tackling a side garage door rebuild that combines practical upgrades with a creative twist: reverse gold leaf gilding. This project was a true journey, involving some unexpected challenges, new techniques, and a satisfying transformation of an old door.
🛠 Project Highlights Door Replacement Decision: Disassembled the old door and debated between rebuilding the same style or modifying a new one. A trip to Habitat for Humanity scored me a door for just $40! Custom Door Modification: With help from my friend Marylou (@MadeByMarylou), we resized the door to fit the garage opening: 22 inches wide by 72 inches tall. Tools included a table saw and a track saw for precision cuts. Prep Work: Removed old paint, sanded, and repainted the door with flat exterior white paint for a fresh base. Gold Leaf Gilding: Designed a custom pattern in Adobe Illustrator, cut it with my Cricut, and applied gold leaf to the door. After some trial and error, I mastered this technique, learning how to balance the adhesive (gelatin) for better results. 💡 Key Takeaways This project taught me:
How to resize and customize a door. The basics of reverse gold leaf gilding, a unique skill I’ll use again. That DIY often takes longer than expected, but the results are always worth it! ✨ Why I Love This Door Upgrade Not only is this door now weatherproof, but it also adds a stylish touch to our garage with its golden design. While I may revisit this project in the future, I’m so proud of the outcome and excited to share what I’ve learned!

Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m showing you how I built a 50-foot long tongue and groove fence and a retaining wall along the side of our property. This area has been unused, but now that it’s finished, I’m in love with the transformation! 🏡
How I Built a Retaining Wall and Fence: Retaining Wall Construction: Our neighbor's property is about 2 feet higher than ours, which meant we had excess soil and dirt. To separate the two properties, I built a retaining brick wall (3 bricks high) along the property line, which also gave me a solid base for the fence. Post Holes and Concrete: We dug post holes over 2 feet deep, added gravel to the base, and concreted each post in every 8 feet to ensure a stable foundation. Building the Tongue and Groove Fence: Using pressure-treated posts, cross braces, and 12-foot tongue and groove slats, we built a sturdy and stylish fence that went together quickly with help from my husband, Eric (@nobadtides). Finishing Touches: I gave the fence a coat of paint and sealer using a Wagner sprayer to ensure it was protected. Then, I realized the fence needed some color and life, so I added felt planters with succulents (check out the next video for the full planter wall build!). 🌿 Adding Smart Lighting to the Pathway: Once the fence was up, I noticed that the area was super dark at night, so I decided to brighten things up with smart outdoor pathway lights and RGB string lights from XM Cosy+. Both lights are controllable via a phone app, making it easy to change colors and set schedules for when the lights come on and off. 💡

Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m going to show you how we completely transformed our old crabgrass front lawn into a beautiful succulent oasis with colorful flowering succulents, a unique rock river, and paver walkways. This DIY landscaping project was a labor of love and involved several steps to get to the stunning final result.
How We Transformed Our Front Yard: We started by marking out the irrigation and grass lines so we knew exactly where to dig. Then, we rented a tiller from Home Depot to remove as much grass as possible, finishing the job by hand with shovels. Once the grass was gone, we marked the areas for our paver walkways and headed to our local rock yard to pick up the materials we thought we’d need.
Next, we laid down a weed barrier, followed by decomposed granite before assembling the paver walkways. After that, we dug out a section for our rock river bed and laid down a second layer of weed barrier to prevent any future weeds from growing. We then filled the river bed with free rocks we found through platforms like OfferUp and Facebook Marketplace.
As the rock landscaping came together, we planted agave and added large boulders for statement pieces. A big shoutout to our friends at Minimal Millennials on Instagram for supplying the boulders! We then filled in the rest with a variety of succulents, including some large ones from our backyard and smaller, low-growing succulents to fill out the space.
I used an auger bit attached to my drill to speed up the process of digging holes for the plants, which made everything go faster. We were able to complete this front yard transformation on a budget, sourcing many materials for free and achieving an amazing outcome!
Special Thanks: Minimal Millennials on Instagram for the boulders. Home Depot for supplying the tiller and other materials. OfferUp for helping us find free rocks for the landscaping.

I had the honor of traveling to Bristol Rhode Island to build a boat at the Total Boat head quarters with an epic team of friends in 2 days then race it against my other fellow makers and actually win the competition and the race… this Vlog is going to be an amazing one… one might say its going to be Bananas… My amazing team the “Sexy Banana Vikings” consisted of, our Captain Keith of Shipwright Skills, Erik Curtis, Stephanie of Uncommon Outpost, and Blake of BM Sculptures… You might even recognize a few of the other fellow makers. The rules of the competition were simple. Were had two days to build a boat out of 3 sheets of 1/.4” plywood and as many Total Boat products as we wanted to use… spoiled alert we used the most and won points for that!!! Each one of the team members were extremely skilled and brought so much to the boat build, which is what ultimately scored us the win. I honestly couldn't have done it with any one else on my team. I absolutely love my teammates, and I'm so honored to say that we built a boat together, raced it and won. This whole event was so much fun I wanted to try and capture as much of it as possible to share with all of you as a vlog… So here’s the Boat build competition from my view, watch as I smack talk the other makers and ultimately have our boat sabotaged… This vlog is a fun one and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did editing it. Cheers it up friends and enjoy!

Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m going to show you how I refreshed our back porch privacy fence with colorful succulents and custom-built planter boxes. I’ve teamed up with my friends at Smart Planet Plants to incorporate a variety of fun succulents into the design, giving our backyard a fresh, vibrant look.
Step-by-Step Guide to Refreshing a Privacy Fence: I started by pressure washing the existing wood slats to remove dirt and grime, then sealed the wood with marine varnish to protect it from the elements. The wood slat privacy fence needed extra support to hang the planter boxes, so I reinforced the backside using 2x3s and 2x4s. I alternated between these sizes to add a textural element to the fence design.
Next, I built custom planter boxes using cedar fence pickets. To ensure the bottom boards fit securely, I cut a groove on each side with my table saw. Using my miter saw, I cut the boxes to size and assembled them with wood glue and brad nails. After rough sanding with 120-grit sandpaper, I gave each box a protective coat of LUST marine varnish from TotalBoat to make sure they were durable and waterproof.
Once the planter boxes were ready and dry, I carefully mounted them to the fence starting from the bottom section. I used stainless steel screws for a secure fit and added one more coat of marine varnish to ensure the boxes were completely sealed.
Planting Succulents: When it was time to plant, I did a rough layout of where I wanted each plant and started planting from top to bottom. For plants that faced outward, I used Sphagnum Moss to help hold the soil in place and secure the plants. The result? A stunning, multi-dimensional privacy fence filled with vibrant succulent plants that brighten up our outdoor space.
I absolutely love the transformation and how the different orientations of the planter boxes add visual interest from all angles: the porch side, side view, and even from outside the fence.
Special Thanks: A huge thank you to @SmartPlanetPlants and @AltmanPlants for providing the beautiful succulent plants for this project.
A huge thank you to @TotalBoat for their ongoing support and incredible products, making this project possible.

Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m going to show you how I refreshed our front porch with a few simple updates, including a wood slat refresh, planter box makeover, and touch-ups to the brickwork. I previously made a video over a year ago showing how I painted the brick and built custom wood slats to surround the metal railing on our front porch. However, after a year of weathering, the wood needed some serious attention.
Step-by-Step Front Porch Refresh: I started by pressure washing the wood to remove dirt and debris. The top boards needed to be completely replaced, but I was able to bring the rest of the wood back to life. To seal the wood this time, I used TotalBoat Halcyon with multiple coats, ensuring long-lasting protection and a beautiful finish. The wood looks amazing after the refresh!
Next, I gave the bricks a quick touch-up paint in the high-traffic areas and sealed the paint with Olympic WaterGuard to protect it from the elements. Unfortunately, our old door mat disintegrated and melted into the brick, leaving some stubborn marks. I had to chisel it off and do some extra touch-up paint in those areas—but I won’t be buying that type of mat again! I replaced it with a new mat with a rubber backing, which should last much longer.
Planter Box Makeover: For the planter box, I swapped out the old snake plant and replanted it with succulents. I specifically used Flapjack succulents (Eric’s favorite!) for a fresh, vibrant look. I also added an address planter box to the front of the porch surround, making it both functional and stylish.
This quick and easy front porch refresh has totally transformed the look of our outdoor space. It’s a simple DIY update that makes a big difference, and I’m super excited with how it turned out. Now I’m thinking about other old projects around the house that could use a similar refresh!
Special Thanks: A huge thank you to @TotalBoat for their ongoing support and providing incredible products that made this project possible.

Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m sharing how I built a custom closet from scratch using 3/4” plywood, edge banding, and plenty of creative problem-solving. This was my first time building a custom closet, and I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out! Whether you’re looking for a DIY closet design or inspiration for a closet makeover, this project has something for everyone.
Custom Closet Build Highlights: Demo & Prep: I started by removing the old shelving, patching the walls, and giving the closet a fresh coat of paint. Sliding Barn Door: To maximize interior space, I replaced the traditional door with a sliding barn door. Lighting Upgrade: Installed a modern flush-mount ceiling light (found on Amazon) for better brightness and functionality. Design Layout: Used painter’s tape to outline the design before finalizing it in SketchUp. This helped me spot adjustments early on! Plywood Construction: Ripped down multiple sheets of 3/4” birch plywood using my Skateplate by Circsaw and added seamless edge banding to exposed edges (250 feet in total!). Drawer Assembly: After a small spacing error, I adjusted the drawer fronts for a perfect 1/8” gap between each drawer. Finishing Touches: Applied multiple coats of TotalBoat Halcyon with an Apollo HVLP Turbo Sprayer for a durable finish. Added a stunning wallpaper mural from Wallism.com and a full-length mirror for functionality and style.

Hi friends! In today’s video, I’m sharing how I tackled some much-needed spring cleaning and upgrades under our bathroom sink. With a few simple storage solutions and clever hacks, I transformed this cluttered space into a more organized and functional area. These upgrades were quick, affordable, and made a big difference!
Under Sink Organization Upgrades: Motion Sensor Lights: Added rechargeable motion sensor lights under the sink for better visibility. Every time I open the cabinet or drawers, it’s like magic—my favorite upgrade! Decluttering & Cleaning: Removed everything to assess what we needed and didn’t. Spring cleaning felt so satisfying! Pull-Out Racks: Installed pull-out trays for easier access to items in the back. The two-tier design utilizes vertical space for smaller items. Mounted Paper Towel & Cleaner Holders: Mounted a paper towel holder and spray bottle ring holders to the cabinet doors for convenient access while freeing up under-sink space. Made a circle jig for my DeWalt cordless jigsaw to cut smooth, accurate curves. Started with a 1/2" thick 4'x8' sheet of plywood, cutting it down to a manageable 3'-6"x7' size. Building the Base:
Used leftover plywood and 2x4s to create a sturdy base. Framed it for extra weight and stability, securing it with heavy-duty L-brackets. Painting the Backdrop:
Primed and painted the arch in a soft light beige color for a clean, elegant look. Creating Custom Wood Letters:
Used an overhead projector to trace the letters onto wood. Cut out the letters with a scroll saw, sanding and painting them first white, then pink (as requested by the bride). Attaching the Letters:
Positioned the letters on the backdrop using the projector for alignment. Secured the letters with 3M double-sided mounting tape for a seamless finish. Even though I could have used my CNC machine, I kept this project simple and beginner-friendly!

Hey friends! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video, I’m showing you how I created a full set of hand tools and a tool box made entirely of epoxy resin. This project challenged my skills in silicone mold making and epoxy casting, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Project Overview Inspired by my previous video where I made epoxy skulls with walnut wood brains, I wanted to take on another exciting epoxy project. I purchased a budget-friendly set of hand tools from Amazon and Harbor Freight to create silicone molds for each tool.
Step-by-Step Process Silicone Mold Making
Disassembled tools like the level, tape measure, and pliers. Created individual molds using BBDINO platinum silicone and cured them in a pressure pot at 35 PSI for 4 hours. For detailed tips on mold making, check out my epoxy skull video! Epoxy Casting
Used TotalBoat High-Performance Epoxy with slow hardener to fill the molds. Cured the epoxy in the pressure pot for 7 hours at 35 PSI to eliminate bubbles. Experimented with multiple rounds to perfect the casting for each tool. Building the Epoxy Tool Box
Made a mold of a wooden toolbox to cast an epoxy version, capturing the natural wood grain in the mold. Iterated on the assembly process, eventually creating a sturdy epoxy toolbox design I loved. Why This Project is Special This project combined creativity, engineering, and experimentation. By challenging myself to create functional, clear epoxy tools and a matching toolbox, I pushed the boundaries of what’s possible with epoxy resin.

Hey friends! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video, I’ll walk you through how I made a life-size epoxy skull with a hand-carved walnut wood brain that fits perfectly inside. This project involved experimenting with silicone mold making, epoxy casting, and CNC woodworking to achieve a stunning final product.
Project Overview Mini Skull Prototypes:
Before jumping into the life-size version, I started with mini epoxy skulls to refine my process. Experimented with BBDINO platinum silicone and used a pressure pot at 35-40 PSI for bubble-free molds and castings. Epoxy Skull Creation:
Used TotalBoat ThickSet Epoxy for crystal-clear skull castings. Left the epoxy in the pressure pot for 24 hours to ensure a flawless finish. Walnut Wood Brain:
Designed the brain using a OneFinity CNC and carved out the underside with a Dremel for a precise fit. Finished the walnut wood with TotalBoat Wood Honey, enhancing its rich natural color. After plenty of trial and error, I’m thrilled with how this project turned out! I’ll have a limited run of epoxy skulls and wood brains available for purchase on my website.

Hey friends, welcome back to Vlog 06! It’s been a while, and I’m so excited to share this fun adventure featuring the Aventon Sinch foldable E-bike. I’ve wanted an electric bike forever, and when my buddy Ben Paik of @WobyDesign mentioned he had a Sinch E-bike that didn’t fit his van conversion build, I knew I had to jump on it.
After reaching out to Aventon, they graciously let me test out their incredible Sinch E-bike. From the first test ride, I was hooked—and named my vibrant red bike Ruby. After a few rides around town, my husband @NoBadTides couldn’t keep up on his regular bike, so Aventon sent us a second bike, an emerald-green beauty we named Jade.
Adventures with the Aventon Sinch E-Bike Picking Up Ruby:
I picked up the bike from Ben's shop, and my first spin was pure magic. The foldable design is perfect for storage, and the performance is incredible. Unboxing Jade:
When Aventon sent us a second Sinch bike, we unboxed Jade and hit the road as a duo. Customizing for the Beach:
We added surf racks to the bikes and cruised to the beach for a surf photo session. Huge thanks to @kevfoto2012 for capturing epic shots of Eric surfing while I photographed from shore. I’m beyond excited to take these bikes on future adventures, including camping trips and desert rides. The Sinch E-bike is a game-changer for outdoor fun!

Hey friends!
In today’s video, I’m sharing how I turned our boring, plain hallway into a stunning galaxy-inspired space with color-changing can lights, a fiber optic star ceiling, and a glow-in-the-dark moon hatch leading to the attic. This has been a dream project of mine for a while, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!
Step-by-Step Galaxy Hallway Makeover Fiber Optic Star Ceiling:
Cut two panels from 1/8” birch plywood sourced from Ganahl Lumber to fit the hallway ceiling. Painted the panels white and drilled 600 holes (300 per panel) for the fiber optic LED lights. Installed and wired the lights to create a sparkling night sky effect. Lighting Upgrades:
Added a new 6-inch can light to brighten up the end of the hallway. Replaced the old can light with a color-changing RGB thin can light controlled via my phone. The results are incredible—each color brings a unique vibe to the space. Moon Hatch to the Attic:
Swapped the square attic entrance for a round hatch. Designed and CNC-cut a thin moon cutout using my Onefinity CNC. Coated the moon in TotalBoat MakerPoxy mixed with grey and glow-in-the-dark pigments from Black Diamond Pigments, creating a mesmerizing effect that shines day and night. Final Touches:
Used Ultra White Behr Paint and Rustoleum White Spray Paint for a clean, bright aesthetic. During the day, the hallway looks sleek and unique, but at night, it transforms into a magical galaxy that has quickly become my favorite spot in the house. Hey Friends! Welcome
This video is sponsored by Wagner. In today’s video I’m giving our Living room a much needed refresh. Starting with a deep cleaning using the Wagner Steam cleaner. I cleaner all the baseboard and the walls, then deep cleaned the sofa and side chair before wrapping them up to keep them safe from paint. I then painted all the walls in the living room with Behr Paint and Primer in Ultra White that way I would have a good base coat to change the dark blue in the living room to a bright yellow. I gave all the base boards a nice coat of white and decided last minute to paint the wall that our TV is on a pop of green. I used the Wagner E-Z paint stick to paint all the walls and man that thing works great for keep things mess free and getting a lot of paint on the wall in little time. While I waited for the last impulsive coat of paint to dry I decide to use the steam cleaner once more to give a large crystal a deep cleaning. I was beyond impressed with how clean the steam cleaner was able to get the crystal. Once all the paint was dry I put the living room back together and I added a small shelf to the corner wall so I could go vertical with my plants as well as have a spot to place blankets. I absolutely Love how the Living room refresh turned out. It was simple and easy to do. Huge shout of to Wagner again for sponsoring today’s video. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video in the comments.

Hey Friends! Welcome
In today’s video I’m sharing with you my Ultimate Dream Shed Shop Makeover that took me a little over a month to complete. I built my 8’x12’ shed shop back in October 2012 on the rear section of our property. For many years I used it as a workshop and art studio. Over the past few years it’s become more of a storage unit than a workshop. So I decided to change that and turn the old workshop into an Ultimate Fab Lab Shed Shop. I had to do some repairs to the floor to make it more structurally sound. I added walls, and No I didn’t insulate, I chose not to, I live in southern California and our weather is usually nice. I heard a lot about why I should have insulated our Garage in the comments of that video and I know there will be some comments about it on this video. I’m still happy with my decision to not insulate. But feel free to tell me why I should have insulated the shed shop and my garage in the comments, I do love that engagement … After I added the walls with no insulation, I painted the entire shed with my Wagner sprayer. I mimicked the floors in the garage by paint the floors gray and adding paint chips then I added epoxy over the top. Huge thank you to American Green Lights for sending me their sleek and I changed out the lighting for more modern sleek lights from American Green lights big thank you to Jim. I changed out my old wood workshop tables for a white husky tool cabinet and a husky tool cart. I’m extremely grateful to Onefinity for sending me one of their refurbished CNC unit to play with. Also I have to give a huge shout out to Wall Control for sending me some of their metal pegboards and accessories for the shop. I’ve listed a few of the links to some of the items I’ve added to the Shed shop below. It took me 3 days to completely clean the shop out. I used a method of, if I was going to keep an item I took out, and then I also needed to get rid of an item, a one for one method. I would either sell the item, donate it, or if necessary toss in the trash. I was able to recoup a good amount of money from the item I got rid of, which I was able to put back into the shed shop makeover. This helped me to downsize the amount of items I kept and put back in the shop. The flooring repair job probably took me the most amount of time throughout this project. This Ultimate Dream Shed Shop Makeover took a lot of hard work and love and I’m extremely proud of how it turned out. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video in the comments.

Hey Friends! Welcome
In today’s video I’m showing you how I painted a simple mural on the side of my workshop using one color of paint and one paintbrush. Bird of Paradise is one of my favorite plants, which explains why we have a whole wall of them in our backyard. The giant leaves are the inspiration behind this mural. I used the Zibra Palm Pro Cut in Brush for painting the lines of the mural. The Palm Pro has a unique handle designed to fit in the palm of your hand. I also used the Zibra 2” Chisel Wedge for painting all the trim white. This mural was simple and easy to do and I’m stoked on the outcome, it gives just the right amount of pop the side of the workshop needed yet it still blends nicely with our landscape.
I hope you enjoyed this video and found some useful information. Thanks for checking out the how the mural turned out. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video and I'd love to see what you paint, be sure to tag me when you do @Wood_Brain on Instagram.

Hey Friends! Welcome back,
In today’s video I’m working on our rear unit renovation. I’m starting off by prepping the wood beam ceiling for primer and paint. I patched and puttied any of the holes that were left behind from things that had been previously hanging from the ceiling. I used a Ryobi battery powered caulking gun to fill any open seams. After I sanded all the beams I used TSB to clean all the wood beams and the walls in preparation for painting. I then taped and masked anything off that I didn’t want to get paint on. Huge shout out to today video sponsor Wagner. I had the opportunity to try out the Wagner Control Pro 150. Which has 55% less over spray. I love this airless sprayer. It was extremely easy to use and easy to clean. I’d highly recommend it to anyway doing large or small painting jobs. I still have a lot to-do in this rear unit, but getting the ceiling and walls prepped was a huge item checked off the to-do list. Next up I’ll be tackling electrical and lighting. Be sure to check back and see where the progress goes on this rear unit renovation. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video in the comments. What did you like what did you not like?

Hey Friends! Welcome back,
In today’s video I’m giving you a tour of my Ultimate Dream Garage. It’s been 6 months since completing the garage makeover. I’m giving you an in-depth look at what I’m storing in all my cabinets and what tools I currently have. I’m still growing into my organized garage and figuring out what works best. I can’t wait to see where this garage is in a year from now. I’ve kept an on going list of tools I want to upgrade, replace, and add to the collection of new tools. I used Harbor freight trays to organize my tools in most of the drawers. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video in the comments.

Hey Friends! Welcome
In today’s video I’m showing you how I made a vertical garden sliding door to help hide and disguise our laundry area. I made a sliding door with French cleats and made planter boxes to hang on the door. This project was simple and easy to do and I’ll show you all my steps in this video. The fun thing about French cleats is they have infinite possibilities of what you can hang on them. I might add a piece of fogged plexi glass behind the door at a later time and point. What would you have done differently? I love to hear in the comments.

Hey Friends! Welcome
In today’s video I’m showing you how I created a LED sign for my garage. I started by printing out the design I wanted for my sign on a large format poster paper. I then cover the sheet of ¾” MDF with blue painters tape before adding spray adhesive to the poster to attached to the MDF board. Then I cut the MDF board down into more manageable pieces on the table saw. After that I cut the words out using my scroll saw. Once the sign was cut out, I router a ¼” deep channel on the backside of the sign using a Dremel with the drop plunge router attachment. I made the channel just wide enough for the LED string lights to sit in. Once I did a dry fit on the lights, I primed and painted the sign black first using a spray primer from Rustoleum and then I touched it up with a black paint primer by Behr. I then ran the LED lighting through the backside of the sign. I cover the exposed LED lighting using electrical tape to give the appearance of a neon sign and its conductors. I then added the sign to a sheet of plexi glass acrylic using 3M mounting tape. I used ¼” spacers to lift the plexi glass sign off a vintage ruler collection back board I put together awhile back. I ran the cords for the lights behind one of the rulers to be able to plug the sign in. Once everything was finished all that was left was to hang it and turn it on.

Hey Friends! Welcome
In todays video I’ve partnered up with the Home Depot to give our outdoor lighting an upgrade. I purchased all new light fixtures from the Home Depot to replace our outdated halogen light fixtures. I choose a few styles of outdoor lighting fixtures. I picked two types of flood light fixtures and two types of patio lighting fixtures. I used the 75-watt Edison style EcoSmart Led light bulb in the daylight temperature for the patio lights and I used the 140 watt Led flood lights for the flood lights. The unique style of the EcoSmart light bulbs allow you to change the color temps from cool white, bright white and day light temps all right in the build it self.
Be sure to check out the EcoSmart lightbulbs from the Home Depot.
Big thank you to the Home Depot again for sponsoring today’s video. Be sure to check out they’re website at the Home Depot where you can find a wide variety of lighting fixtures and EcoSmart light bulbs.
