SMB [TAS] - 1-1 (1828) & 1-1 Pipeless (2002)

When I started out I was terrible, even later on for the most part I was unrefined, and I feel like only in the last 10 days or so it somehow all clicked to me and suddenly got very sharp. I realized I was about to do it and it was just a matter of time. One thing that is a bit of a shame is that I got lucky in parts of the fight where I really didn't need to be lucky, so I couldn't fully show the skills I developed.
This fight in Attuned becomes so fun once you get good at it, but Radiant is full of RNG and that can get very frustrating, the epitome of that being how the start of the climb phase is *entirely* up to luck whether you get hit by the instant lasers.

☆ Charm Build: Quick Slash, Unbreakable Strength, Baldur Shell, Stalwart Shell, Carefree Melody
-QS and Strength are definitely the best choice for speeding up the fight, QS in particular having the secondary purpose of gathering far more soul than you normally would, which essential for abusing Descending Dark's iframes.
-Baldur Shell and Stalwart Shell are only for the climb phase. Getting hit while healing with Baldur Shell negates the damage and makes you invincible for a while, and Stalwart Shell increases your iframes enough to climb two platforms per planned hit. Baldur Shell breaks after being used four times.
-Carefree Melody is a bit more complicated, it negates damage on luck. ≈91% of the times it allows you to take the first hit without taking damage*, then it will be guaranteed not to activate on the second hit, and from the third hit it will get increasingly more and more likely. The plan is such: the first hit functions as a get-out-of-jail at any time during the fight, the second hit onward will have to be the Baldur Shell ones, abusing the high probability of Carefree activating during any of those hits, taking priority over the Baldur Shell and thus allowing you to take an additional fifth hit during the climb. This chance is about [1 - (0.899 * 0.798 * 0.697 * 0.495)] ≈ *75.25%* which I found good enough, so I routed for the Baldur Shell heals to start two platforms lower and planned for 5 hits (4 Baldur + 1 Carefree at any point) instead of 4.

-A bit of timesave (~0.001-0.01) on every turn by micro-optimization of lines
-3rd shroom has a re-hop strategy that allows take the turn tighter
-These timesaves lead to bad QM at the last turn (In regards to offroad touch & getting on the boost pad on a particular frame), so I can't capitalize on it as much as the former BKT. I still kept most of the timesave however.
-0.001 might be saved from roundings of lap entry/exit times. I'm not sure though.
I don't have much experience on this game (except one TAS I did in 2018 which was questionable), but I've always watched the community from a distance since I like the game.
I like N3vermind's and RS' videos a lot because I relate to the Hardstyle music choices, which is why I was inspired to put a Hardstyle track.
As I worked on this, I kept envisioning that Daisy had her heart broken from being cheated, and vented it all on the race track. The lyrics of the song kinda match that. Just a little headcanon of mine.

Lately, I have had evanescent memories lingering in me. I remember how everyday when I was a child, after coming back home from elementary school, I would play with my friends, and we would get all together to watch Boing (Italian cartoon TV channel) at about 6 PM, as episodes from the first seasons (as well as the Sinnoh seasons) of Pokémon were broadcasted every day. It was really neat and I loved discovering what Ash, Misty and Brock were up to, as well as discovering all types of badass, goofy, and cute Pokémon.
Now I know the whole Pokémon universe upside-down, so watching it would probably not have me interested as it had back in the day, but that's okay.
One day, the memories will fade too, and that's also okay. Experiences contribute to who we are, and that's all it matters. So let's keep creating new memories.
I am thankful to Giorgio, for having trasmitted so much passion to all of us 90s/00s children. I dare to say, the OPs from him and Cristina d'Avena played the biggest role of why Animes became so incredibly popular in Italy in that period. They understood how important OPs were to get the children to fall in love with these fantasy worlds, they have always been so proud and passionate about positively influencing people, and to me, they will always be the undisputed king and queen of OPs.
Now he isn't as active on OPs anymore, but In 2020 him and his team made this Coldplay-styled Time Machine he made for people who grew up watching Pokémon back in the days, and a lot of us couldn't handle the emotions. You sly dog Giorgio...

-21f from 2012 120 star TAS (ghost in the video).
For the sake of comparison, the ghost catches up to me as soon as I enter a new section. I also wrote down the timesaves at the bottom right corner of the video
First room: Slidekicking allows me to triple jump much earlier, resulting in a total of 2 frames of timesave even if it forces a considerably worse angle at the end
Second room: The goal is activating the 2nd coffin as soon as possible after the first red coin. After that it doesn't matter how much I take to get the 2nd coin and initiate the BLJ. I have to stall for the coffin to go back down, because it allows to get stuck BLJing for a longer time (and thus get more speed)
BLJ reset room: I manipulate the speed reset to be much closer to the bookshelf, and jump instead of long jump, saving 3 frames. My wallkick angle is also better, which allows me to turn for 1 less frame before the speedkick, saving me another frame
Last room: Sideflipping 1 frame earlier, and different movement reaching the star

Initially, it was thought you had to start with a different movement than long jumping (either jump&dive roll or kick djdive), because the greater speed acquired from a long jump would accidentally manipulate the Big Boo to go too fast, making it drop in height (because of complex reasons involving Big Boo behavior). At first glance its lower height is an issue, because it would mean you'd have to drop lower during the slidekick, thus not allowing you to land on the roof. However I realized you can hit the Boo lower just fine, and at the end of the slidekick still clip up the roof thanks to a floor misalignment, which is the only way that allows the edge cancel and therefore setting up for the second Boo hit in time.
