In fact it doesn't take a high level shaman to assess that Bono's vocal intro needs to be carefully placed on a C60 Memorex cassette and hidden away in his shed for eternity. So after discounting that intro we now have an ethereal introduction that flows sweetly along. The second verse is gently shown the door and we trip towards the Edges cutting guitar line. Then instead of meandering towards the vocal reprise, that is now used to blissful effect as a counter point melody for the last chorus ! I think you'll find this does the trick and in another universe Book Of Your Heart sits nicely as track 4 of the album and is no longer staring at the wall. U2- Love is bigger than anything in its way [ Edit / Remix ] Acidbeats9 2020-11-22 | LOVE IS BIGGER THAN ANYTHING IN ITS WAY - First off some intense meditation was taken to really get to grips with how many songs U2 had jammed together to make Love Is Bigger. Secondly the Coldplay-esque vocal refrain at the end needed banishing to the next dimension. For thirds the epic EMBRACE chorus about crying at Killiney Bay just had to be the main chorus hook, lets get heartbroken and hit by waves on a deserted stormy beach. Some mini tweaks of Edge's chiming guitar signatures create a nice middle section backdrop before one final epic chorus crying at at Killiney Bay. The "Get Out" vocal line is used to frame the songs start and end with the Edges intense guitar line leading to a sweet climax. That's the idea ! with the Edge getting down in front of his amps and the band playing with joy and power not stuck in a math's lock thinking too much.
