xpertgamerBaldur's Gate 3: Patch 7: The Dark Urge Evil Ending with Astarion and Minthara - In Bhaal's Name
Epilogue: An entirely new section at the end of the game after the defeat of the that aims to provide a well-deserved sense of closure with your allies.
Set at camp in High Hall, with a view overlooking the city, this new playable chapter takes place six months after the events of Baldur’s Gate 3’s story, and is accessible to all players by loading the game prior to the final fight.
Your epilogue is defined by you. This is the culmination of every choice and consequence that you’ve made since the very start of your adventure, a gigantic tree of permutations that leads to an opportunity to reflect on that journey before you say goodbye. For the writers of Larian, this “final goodbye” has resulted in some of the most complex writing in the game thus far, as it takes advantage of Baldur's Gate 3’s reactivity across the entire adventure.
Getting the gang back together
You’ll experience new cinematics that reflect the arc of your story, reunite with your companions to reminisce and trade tales, read letters sent by old friends, and keep abreast of the latest Baldur’s Gate news with updates in the Baldur’s Mouth Gazette. Not sure where you put Scratch’s ball? You can play a game of fetch using the Astral Prism instead - the Forbidden Squeaky.
Though happy endings are never guaranteed, this final scene aims to bring closure to your personal story, based on your choices. It’s a tender moment to reflect on the last six months since you took on your final challenge, together as a team, as well as your chance to say goodbye before the credits roll.
What else can you expect here? Well, there’s new music from Bobby, brand new faces at camp, and a special cinematic ending for Gale and Lae’zel depending on your choices along the way.

The Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top fight can be challenging, especially since there are two foes to deal with instead of just one. Thankfully, one usually hangs back, giving you an opportunity to focus on one half of the iron ball at a time rather than having to tackle both for the entirety of the battle.
These foes can use both halves of the iron ball to roll around the arena at high speeds, sending you flying if you get hit. Nailing the Perfect Dodge timing is a great help in this fight. The trick is to dodge just before the ball hits you, which oftentimes can be later than you think it will be. Practice makes perfect with Perfect Dodging, though, and the more you try, the better you will get.
The foes will also use each half of the iron ball as a shield of sorts. You will not do any damage to them by hitting this shield, so try to get behind them whenever they are shielding themselves. They are both armed with weapons as well as the dangerous ball, so keep an eye out for their swings and watch your back for the other enemy at all times.

In Patch 5, Larian Studios introduced character-specific endings and a special epilogue featuring a mysterious party hosted by Withers. These endings are unlocked by using one of the game's Origin characters as the avatar, instead of Tav or the Dark Urge. For example, if Gale becomes a god, he shares a divine scene with Mystra after defeating the Netherbrain, and even has the power to elevate his romanced partner into godhood.
While Astarion, Gale, and Shadowheart are the most popular choices for avatars, unlocking one of the rarest endings requires choosing Lae'zel. Her tragic and elusive ending happens when she stays loyal to Vlaakith, fails her mission, and faces the difficult choice of suicide. Only 34 players have managed to see this grim conclusion.
With over 17,000 possible ending variations in Baldur's Gate 3, there are still many secrets hidden in the game, waiting to be uncovered by dedicated players. Could there be even more obscure endings as hard to achieve as Lae'zel’s?

The Cloudtreading Deer is a tough Yaoguai Chief you’ll encounter in Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong. To find it, head to the Deer Sight Forest Keeper's Shrine near the red trees and lightning clearing. The deer waits beneath the tree, ready to engage.
The battle has two phases. In the first, the deer uses frost attacks and summons tornadoes. Body-Warming Powder is a must here. Use Wind Tamer to clear the tornadoes and keep it pinned with Immobilize. Be aggressive to conserve spells for phase two.
In the second phase, the deer spills poisonous blood around the battlefield. Use Antimiasma Powder to resist poisoning, and lure the deer out of blood pools to strike in safer zones. Watch out for homing blood orbs, and make the most of Zhu Bajie’s support to finish the fight.
Good luck taming the Cloudtreading Deer! Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and stay tuned for more Black Myth: Wukong content.

In this video, I’ll walk you through how to recruit Minthara in Baldur’s Gate 3 without sacrificing the grove—now made easier thanks to Patch 7. Larian Studios has adjusted things so players can recruit Minthara as a powerful ally without losing key companions like Karlach or Will. I’ll guide you step by step, from navigating the Goblin Camp to freeing Minthara from Moonrise Towers, ensuring she joins your party without unnecessary complications.
Previously, recruiting Minthara required you to sneak through the Goblin Camp and knock her out before she could trigger the cutscene that launches the raid on the grove. If you missed that small window, Minthara wouldn’t appear in Moonrise Towers, and you’d lose the opportunity to recruit her. However, Patch 7 has made things a lot more flexible, giving you multiple ways to approach her and secure her as a party member.
Now, you can interact with Minthara freely—trigger her cutscenes, fight her at the Goblin Camp, or even lure her into the grove. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that she must be knocked out, not killed. Once she’s unconscious, you can loot her gear. One important item to grab here is the Lyre. It’ll play a key role later when you enter the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act 2.
When you make it to the Shadow-Cursed Lands, having the Lyre makes your life a lot easier. You can show it to the Goblins roaming the area, and they’ll help you gain safe passage to Moonrise Towers. This saves you from having to fight your way through or deal with some of the nastier obstacles lurking in the shadows.
Once you arrive at Moonrise Towers, you’ll witness Ketheric Thorm judging Minthara for her failure. He decides not to kill her but instead orders her to be imprisoned, where her memory and free will are slowly wiped away by two enforcers: Jasin and Sumera.
At this point, you have two options. You can use persuasion or intimidation to convince the enforcers to release Minthara into your care. If that fails, you can fight them to prevent the mind-wiping process from completing. Either way, saving her in time ensures her memories remain intact, and she will be shocked that someone has gone through so much trouble to rescue her.
With Minthara free, the next challenge is getting out of Moonrise Towers safely. You have two main ways to do this. If you prefer a quick exit, you can use a fast travel waypoint to teleport to safety. Alternatively, you can free the other prisoners and escape together on a boat, which will take you directly to the Last Light Inn. This route is a bit more dangerous but adds a dramatic touch to the rescue.
After you escape, a key conversation with Minthara will trigger. She will express her surprise and gratitude for being saved. At this point, you’ll get the option to invite her into your party. If your party is full, you’ll need to dismiss someone temporarily to make room for her. Once back at camp, speak to Minthara again to finalize her recruitment.
Recruiting Minthara offers several benefits to your playthrough. Not only is she a powerful ally with unique abilities, but her presence also adds depth to your experience, especially in later acts of the game. Plus, you won’t have to compromise your morals or sacrifice the grove, making this a win-win scenario.
What’s your take on using Minthara in your party? Do you think she’s worth the effort, or do you prefer sticking with your original companions? Let me know in the comments below, and I’ll be reading through them to see how others are building their teams.

Welcome to the ultimate guide for finding all five Skandhas and unlocking the secret boss in Black Myth: Wukong. In this video, I’ll take you through the exact locations of each Skandha, starting from Chapter 1, leading all the way to the hidden boss fight in Chapter 6. Along the way, I’ll provide detailed tips on how to tackle each challenge, including strategies for the Giant Shigandang. Whether you're looking to collect the Skandhas or face one of the toughest bosses, this guide has everything you need. If this helps you out, make sure to like and subscribe for more epic Black Myth: Wukong content! Let’s dive in!
The first Skandha you’ll need to find is the Skandha of Form, located in Chapter 1 at Black Wind Mountain, in the Forest of Wolves near the Front Hills Keeper's Shrine. After reaching the shrine, head toward the area where you'll fight the Bullguard mini-boss. Opposite the mini-boss, you’ll see a stream. As you approach the stream, you’ll notice a monkey looking around by the river. When the monkey runs off, head over to the statue’s head that’s submerged in the water. This is where you’ll collect the Skandha of Form.
The second Skandha is the Skandha of Feeling, located in Chapter 2 at Yellow Wind Ridge, near Fright Cliff and Rockrest Flat. To obtain it, you'll first need to defeat the secret boss, Shigandang.
To fight Shigandang, collect all 6 Buddha's Eyeballs and deliver them to the area near Rockrest Flat, where you'll battle the Stone Vanguard. After defeating the boss, Shigandang will appear. Once you’ve defeated Shigandang, it will drop the Skandha of Feeling.
The third Skandha, the Skandha of Thought, is found in Chapter 3 within The New West, specifically at the Mindfulness Cliff Keeper’s Shrine. This one’s a bit tricky to locate because it involves a bit of platforming and careful exploration in a hidden area.
Once you reach the Mindfulness Cliff Keeper’s Shrine, don’t head straight forward—instead, look to the right of the shrine. You’ll notice a large canyon below, and this is where your journey begins. Carefully drop down onto the ledge below, which opens up a hidden path leading into a cave system.
Make your way through the cave, and eventually, you’ll emerge back outside, greeted by snowy cliffs. Continue your journey along these cliffs, navigating the narrow paths and stairs, until you reach another entrance covered in snow. Head inside, and you’ll emerge at the top of another snowy cliff.
It’s quite a journey to reach this Skandha, but the hidden path, the stunning snowy landscape, and the sense of exploration make it one of the more satisfying Skandhas to collect. Make sure to keep an eye out for that mischievous monkey as you continue your adventure!
The fourth Skandha, the Skandha of Choice, can be found in Chapter 4 within The Webbed Hollow area, near The Purifying Spring Keeper’s Shrine. This one requires navigating through an eerie, web-covered section, so brace yourself for some creepy atmosphere.
Starting at The Purifying Spring Keeper’s Shrine, head right and climb the stairs that lead deeper into the Webbed Hollow. You’ll come across a narrow gap in the wall that you can squeeze through—move through it, and you’ll be on the correct path.
Just like the previous Skandhas, the mysterious monkey from earlier will make another appearance, sitting atop the Buddha’s head. As you approach, it will run off once again, but now you can claim the Skandha of Choice from the statue.
The super secret boss, Giant Shigandang, is located in Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong, within the Mount Huaguo region. To unlock this secret fight, you'll need to have collected all four Skandhas from the previous chapters, which are essential to access this boss.
To find the boss, head to the Verdant Path in Mount Huaguo, where you'll need to use your cloud to ascend higher up the cliffside. You'll notice a large open area just beyond where you fought the Son of Stones. Follow the path that leads off to the right, climbing higher and higher. Once you reach a dead-end, you’ll see an opening in the cliff above. Head through this passage to enter a slightly covered tunnel, leading you toward a wide-open space.

To tame the Feng-Tail General in Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll need to focus on two key stat checks: stamina and burn resistance. The boss, a giant beetle, can be found in Mount Huaguo in Chapter 6, and instead of fighting, you need to complete a QTE sequence.
Start by flying to the beetle using the Somersault Cloud and land on its back. The first challenge is the stamina check. The beetle will jump three times, so use stamina-boosting items like Tonifying Decoction or Ascension Powder to make sure you don’t fall off.
Once you’ve survived the stamina phase, it’s time for the burn resistance check. Activate the Fireproof Mantle to gain +600 burn resistance before grabbing the beetle's antennae. This will make you immune to the flames it releases.
If you succeed, you’ll be rewarded with the Golden Feng-Tail Crown, boosting your maximum mana and defense. Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more boss guides!

The Supreme Inspector boss fight in Black Myth: Wukong can be quite challenging due to his long health bar and ability to fly. He’s one of the toughest enemies in Chapter 6, and you’ll face him after reaching the Verdant Path Keeper Shrine. He stays airborne for long stretches, making him tough to hit, but you can use the Immobilize spell to ground him, stopping his aerial attacks. Timing is everything here—keep your distance, bait his charges, dodge, and counterattack, but always watch out for his unpredictable aerial strikes.
When his health gets low, he summons flaming wheels that increase his speed and deal heavy damage. Dodge these wheels as much as possible, and when he traps you in a circle of fire, the Plantain Fan is your best friend. Use it to extinguish the flames and keep the battle going smoothly. With patience and timing, you can beat the Supreme Inspector and earn the Somersault Cloud, an essential item in the game.

To unlock Black Myth: Wukong's secret ending, you'll need to tackle the optional secret bosses in Chapter 3's hidden area of Mount Mei. First, complete all chapters' secret areas and an elusive side quest to access it. Then, brace yourself for a kaiju battle against Erlang Shen, The Sacred Divinity.
After defeating Erlang, you'll be thrown into another fight against The Four Heavenly Kings. Thankfully, they share one health bar. As Stone Monkey, use Primal Punch to build Focus and Earthshatter Slam to deal damage and heal. Halfway through, you'll unlock Ice Bath to inflict frost damage.
Once the Kings fall, it’s time to face Erlang Shen again! Use the same strategy—Primal Punch for Focus, Earthshatter Slam to heal, and Rock Solid to deflect his blade. At 70% health, Erlang powers up his sword with fire, but your Ice Bath will counter this. When Erlang grabs you, you’ll switch to Fiery Fist for a fiery showdown.
Keep pummeling him with spells, and you’ll conquer Erlang and unlock the secret ending!

Though they seem like enemies at first, Erlang Shen and Sun Wukong are actually old allies. Their rivalry is more of a facade, with Erlang secretly helping Wukong in his quest for freedom throughout Black Myth: Wukong. Erlang guards Wukong’s memories and, with the help of his subordinates—the Meishan Six Yaoguai—he ensures the Destined One collects the relics needed to restore Wukong’s power. Erlang Shen’s role is crucial because, unlike Wukong’s impulsive nature, he’s more calculated, playing the long game against the heavens. Their relationship mirrors a classic frenemy dynamic: they clash in battle, but underneath it all, they have mutual respect. Erlang isn't the villain we think he is—he’s fighting the same fight, just in a more subtle way.

In the true ending of Black Myth: Wukong, we discover that Wukong planned his own freedom all along. The golden circlet that controlled him was a leash from the heavens, and Erlang Shen, once seen as an enemy, was actually helping Wukong in secret. By letting Erlang kill him, Wukong seeks reincarnation to break free from the heavens' control.
As the Destined One, you relive Wukong’s memories and power. Unlike the bad ending where you accept the circlet, in the true ending, you reject it. This moment symbolizes Wukong's plan for ultimate freedom. No longer bound to the heavens, you become the true reincarnation of Sun Wukong—free to live without servitude.
It’s a powerful ending, where Wukong's legacy of rebellion against the heavens is passed on to you. If you enjoyed this breakdown, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and ring the bell for more content!

The Jingubang Staff is the ultimate weapon in Black Myth: Wukong, but it’s no easy task to get it. First, you must defeat four bosses on Mount Huaguo. Start by taking down the Gold Armored Rhino—break its horn with heavy attacks or use a Spirit like the Wandering Wight to shatter it. When the horn regrows, repeat until it falls. Then, face the Cloudtreading Deer—dodge its attacks and learn its patterns to outlast it.
Next is the Feng-Tail General. It's a stamina fight, so upgrade your health and gear up to survive. Afterward, head to the golden tree and defeat the final boss, Emerald-Armed Mantis, which only appears after the first three are beaten.
Now, use your Somersault Cloud to ascend above the golden tree, move left, and find a hidden path leading to a waterfall. Follow the path, jump at the edge, and find the massive Jingubang Staff stuck in the ground. Trigger the cutscene to claim the most powerful weapon in the game!

Find out how to unlock this rare ending, and delve into the intricate storytelling that makes Baldur's Gate 3 a masterpiece of RPG design.

The Great Sage's Broken Shell is a challenging multi-phase boss battle in Black Myth: Wukong. In the first phase, the Sage constantly dodges and leaves behind exploding illusions, so you need to stay on your toes. Use abilities like Ring of Fire to match his attacks and Plantain Fan to knock him back and deal damage while keeping distance. Timing is key—hit him with Focus Charges after his attacks, but don’t overcommit.
In phase two, the fight intensifies as the Sage strips away your relics, leaving you vulnerable. Now, it’s all about careful planning and using medicines like Ginseng Pellets to boost your Focus. The Sage’s attacks become faster and more aggressive, forcing you to rely on dodges and quick counterattacks. Stay close to avoid his spinning staff and flurry of projectiles, and wait for openings to land those heavy hits.

(Evil Ending) in Baldurs Gate 3 #shortsxpertgamer2024-10-06 | [Spoilers] [Patch 7] Consequences for using tadpoles? (Evil Ending) in Baldur's Gate 3
In Patch 7 of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios finally added consequences for using tadpoles throughout the game. While the story initially revolves around removing these parasites, players are given the option to use them for powerful abilities — but it always felt strange that there were no real consequences tied to this decision.
In this video, I’ll discuss how Patch 7 addresses the lack of drawbacks for using tadpoles. Now, depending on how many tadpoles you’ve consumed, you’ll face increasing difficulty in resisting illithid transformation, adding a deeper layer of challenge and consequence to your decisions. These changes bring more weight to the idea of embracing illithid powers, making your choices feel impactful as you push towards darker outcomes.
We’ll dive into how these new checks work, how tadpole use affects your character’s story, and what this update means for the overall gameplay experience. If you’re interested in how Larian Studios has evolved the game's mechanics, especially for players who love to walk the line between power and consequence, this video is for you.
Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe if you found this helpful, and let me know your thoughts on the tadpole mechanics and their consequences in Baldur’s Gate 3!

The Stone Monkey fight in Black Myth: Wukong is a tough multi-phase battle that will test your skills. In the first phase, the Stone Monkey uses a series of powerful punches and shockwaves. Stay mobile, dodge his attacks, and build up your focus. Watch out for when he disappears and reappears to catch you off guard, using ripples in the water to anticipate his moves.
Once you deplete his health bar, the second phase begins. His fists will now be ablaze, and he will switch between fire and ice attacks. Use Body-Warming and Body-Cooling powders for protection, and stick with heavy attacks. Midway through, he’ll use the Pluck of Many spell, summoning a clone. You’ll have to juggle fighting both monkeys with alternating fire and ice attacks.
Stay aggressive, using spells like Pluck of Many and Immobilize to deal with both enemies. When you finally defeat the Stone Monkey, you’ll automatically enter the next fight with The Great Sage's Broken Shell, with all your resources replenished. In Black Myth: Wukong, boss fights are more than just battles; they’re true tests of your skill, patience, and adaptability. The early chapters may seem like a warm-up, but they throw some of the toughest, most memorable bosses your way. These fights will push you to your limits, forcing you to master every aspect of the game’s mechanics. So, let's dive into the top 10 hardest bosses from All Chapters, detailing why they’re so challenging and how to take them down.
Number 10: Whiteclad Noble
This boss is a perfect early-game reality check that’ll make you question every gaming decision you've ever made. You think you’re about to celebrate victory, you're feeling that sweet adrenaline of success after finally taking him down... then BAM! Cutscene, full health bar, and guess what? A second phase with a tail! It took me an hour to beat his first phase, and I was ready to smash my controller when I saw him stand back up. And if you’re anything like me, this boss is going to hit harder than a truck!
Number 9: Yellow Wind Sage
This boss doesn’t just throw challenging mechanics at you; he warps the whole battlefield into an overwhelming storm of chaos, making him worthy of the Number 9 spot. The tornados alone are enough to make you want to toss your controller, and his constant vanishing into the sandstorm only adds to the frustration. He forces you to stay on the move while keeping track of his erratic attack patterns, making the whole fight feel like a relentless endurance test.
Number 8: Tiger Vanguard
If there’s one boss that feels like a relentless test of your reaction speed, it’s Tiger Vanguard. This guy is an absolute beast, and he more than earns his spot on this list for the way he relentlessly pressures you with non-stop aggression. For me, it felt like I was fighting a rabid animal—there’s barely a second to breathe, and his fast, heavy attacks will have you scrambling to time your dodges perfectly.
Number 7: Scorpion Lord
This guy is an absolute monster, and the fact that he’s an optional boss only adds to his legend. Scorpion Lord isn’t just a fight; he’s a relentless punishment of everything you thought you knew about this game. What makes him so difficult is that he ramps up his aggression to insane levels, especially when he’s down to his last sliver of health. You think you’ve got him, then suddenly, he goes berserk, and your carefully laid-out strategy is wafflestomped into oblivion.
Number 6: Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast
This boss is pure frustration wrapped in flame and ice. Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast quickly earns the title of one of the most brutal bosses in the game, and not in the good, rewarding way. Everything about this fight feels like an unfair setup to just punish players.
Number 5: Hundred Eye Daoist
This fight is an absolute nightmare, and it almost feels like it's designed to mentally break you. The constant teleporting, the insane movement, and the relentless attacks make it one of the most exhausting encounters I've faced. The worst part? His hitboxes are janky as hell.
Number 4: Yin Tiger
Let me tell you why this fight made me want to put my controller through a wall. Yin Tiger is just next-level absurd with his relentless onslaught of abilities. I’m talking i-frames, huge AoE attacks that hit like a truck, constant dodging, and what feels like an unlimited stamina bar
Number 3: Yellow Loong – The Electrifying Nightmare
Yellow Loong is the definition of frustration turned into a boss fight. This monstrous, lightning-infused dragon brings the heat with relentless combos, insane attack variety, and enough AoE shockwaves to make you rethink every move you make
Number 2: The Great Sage's Broken Shell – A Battle of Endurance
This is the one boss that stands as a testament to your stamina and resilience. The Great Sage’s Broken Shell isn’t just a fight—it’s a multi-phase marathon designed to break your will. And if you’re thinking the journey to victory will be straightforward, you’re dead wrong
Number 1: Erlang Shen – The Ultimate Test of Skill
Choosing between Erlang Shen and The Great Sage's Broken Shell was tough, but Erlang Shen takes the top spot for one key reason: pure difficulty. While The Great Sage strips you of your relics in the second phase

The Emerald-Armed Mantis in Black Myth: Wukong is a two-phase boss fight. In the first phase, up to 25% of its health, the mantis is slower and uses predictable blade attacks. It stabs its blades into the ground, giving you an opening to land hits. Use this phase to get a feel for its patterns—save your abilities and just fight normally.
Once the second phase starts, things get intense. The mantis sharpens its blades, turning them red, and begins flipping around the stomach area, moving much faster. This is when you unleash Cloud Step and Pluck of Many. Make sure both are fully upgraded for maximum damage. Use Cloud Step to dodge its unpredictable attacks, and Pluck of Many to immobilize it and deal heavy damage.
With these spells, you can keep the mantis pinned down and finish the fight in under 2 minutes. Good luck, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more boss strategies!
In this video, we explore the dark and power-hungry side of Gale in Baldur's Gate 3. Gale’s turbulent relationship with the gods has always been fueled by pride and ambition, but in his evil ending, these traits reach a dangerous peak. No longer content to be Mystra’s failed pupil, Gale seizes power and sets his sights on divine vengeance. As Baldur’s Gate falls under his control, Gale embarks on a destructive campaign, tearing down the images of gods and opening a portal for his war against the celestial realm.
Gale's descent into darkness feels disturbingly natural. His jovial demeanor has always masked deep inadequacy, and this evil turn reveals the lengths he is willing to go when unchecked. Fueled by resentment toward the gods, Gale’s lust for power is sated, but his ultimate goal remains out of reach. Watch as Gale takes on the role of a vengeful mortal, proving to the gods that even they can fall under his wrath. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more Baldur’s Gate 3 content!

Find out how to unlock this rare ending and delve into the intricate storytelling that makes Baldur's Gate 3 a masterpiece of RPG design.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to defeat the secret boss Erlang Shen in Black Myth: Wukong. I used a Qi-based build, relying on the Golden 4-piece set bonus, which regenerates Qi on critical hits and enemy defeats. The key strategy is using the staff spin attack, which gives multiple chances to crit due to rapid hits. To boost crit chances further, I used Amplification Pellets and the Loong Aura, with Sunset of the Nine Skies providing Qi every time I drank from the gourd.
The fight happens in three phases, with Erlang Shen replenishing his stance meter. To deal with this, I used the Plantain Fan to break his stance and get in critical damage. Cloud Step helps dodge his more complex attacks, and for the final phase, make sure you have enough mana to use Pluck of Many. After five attempts, this strategy worked perfectly.
