I often wondered why there was two. From that point forward everything about the railways, the canals, the roads and routes fascinated me. Error 2: I omitted to note that the DNSR line stopped at Winchester and had to accept a second offer from LSWR and cross the itchen valley over Hockley Viaduct joining their main line.
