The legs are made in hard maple and wrapped with 1/8in mahogany to make it look like they are solid mahogany. I did this to save money on wood and get a stronger bench leg. Woodturning // Bracelet Made From 200 Pieces Of Wood!! Kyle Toth 2019-02-07 | Its segmented bracelet is made of 200 pieces of ash, bocote and and ebony. The bracelet did end up fitting on to Hayleys wrist, the finish needed to dry a little bit longer. I took my segmented rings and attached them to a piece of plywood with hot melt glue and resawed them on the table saw to make multiple thin rings. Wine Box With Box Joints Kyle Toth 2019-01-31 | This wine box is made in spanish cedar. It is put together with box joints, this is actually the first time I have ever done BOX joints. They always intimidated me. I never knew if I was supposed to do them on the table saw, the router table or god forbid cut them by hand. I used the rockler sled for the router table which is linked below, its wonderful. Makes perfect box joints. I left the wine box unfinished because I learned that a finished wine box can interfere with the aging of the wine if its played down for a few years. All the engraving was done with an x carve. One trick I have picked up with engraving with a cnc machine is to leave the wood a little thicker than you want it, engrave it, paint the bottom of the engraving with whatever paint you want, not worrying about overspray and then plane the top surface with a jointer, plater or drum sander. Makes for crisp line and minimal clean up. Also if you were wondering this is bottle of wine is called a Jeroboam bottle which is 5 Liters or about 6.75 bottle of wine. Hope you enjoyed this video.
