Random psa: Happy birthday to confirmed Pisces Mirabel Madrigal!

Hard to believe I used to edit with Miguel all the time only to stop using him for no reason, if you don't count how I constantly get copyright claimed for using his movie... Anyway, these two are a direct reference to the first Non/Disney style of Sassy Gay Friend video I made a decade ago (Technically my second 'cause I did my first with Miguel and Kayley, but I took it down and lost the video file), and I have to say they're a total brotp for me now! They're also meant to represent platonic bi man and pan woman solidarity 'cause why not? I hope you enjoy this, even if it was a little too fast paced in the middle!

First time officially using Kale, bitches! (He only made a blink and you might miss cameo in my Come Fly With Us crossover) This year really has become the year of me working with new characters and revisiting ones I used to work with all the time in the past. I gotta thank AiraSora for posting all of Kale’s scenes! Despite having the movie, I had a hard time finding Kale’s scenes, so that video is the reason why we’re all here today. Since I already paired Aladdin with Sinbad twice in 2013, don’t be surprised if I end up pairing Al with Proteus, Marina, or even Rat next. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

STORYTIME!:
-Kale works as a guard at the castle and goes out to help a loveable street rat.
-Later that night during his shift, Kale hears someone sneak in and sees that it's the same guy he helped out dressed in royal attire only to quickly realize that's the prince he never formally seen before!
-Kale and Aladdin go sailing while Al explains that he really likes, and the feeling's mutual on his part. I like to imagine these join the gay sea pirates Eric and Sinbad (anyone remember my If You Were Gay mep parts with them and Derek?) on adventures together. The end!

TheQuietWeirdo17 2022-03-01 | Why the hell am I opening another mep when I'm hosting three other ones and happen to currently be in the middle of an editing hiatus? After reading WCRfan126's post on YouTube about her 10th year anniversary and seeing an option about hosting an mep only catered to things she edited, I got hit by the inspiration train! While I've actually been on here since 10/25/09, this specific channel has been open since 3/25/12, so I'm gonna take a big risk and open this now to try to get this ready for this channel's 10-year anniversary! This is also because I won't have enough time to make even a 1-minute video on time because of family birthday season, so yeah.
Also: This is the last mep I’m hosting for a while until I get back to full-time editing by hopefully this summer.

Canon theme: Tribute to your fave friendship!
Crossover theme: Friendship between a queer guy and a girl of any sexuality (preferably one with an attraction to men like straight, bi, pan, ace-spec, etc.)

-Non/Disney 2D & 3D media only. I'll also only allow one 2D/3D crossover pair if you're interested in using The Once-ler and Aurora, which I'll elaborate more on in a bit. Otherwise, don't combine 2D/3D together.

-Coloring and typography allowed!
-No overlays or watermarks! I'm adding watermarks to the final product.
-If you want to go for a musical element on your part(s), try your best to follow the lyrics and lip sync your characters right! Captions are included if you need to read them.
-I wanted to suggest you only edit with friendships I only used in my past videos, but those are severely lacking, so you don't have to do it! But bonus points if you do though.
-Put 1 second of footage at the end of your part, so I can add transitions.
-Render in HD mp4 or wmv format only.

Long rant coming up!

I'm honestly not feeling how this turned out. But I'd rather have a part I feel meh about and shows a more age appropriate pairing than showcase one that (I didn't know at the time I made it) had a super problematic age gap that made me and others uncomfortable, which is why I took down the original part I did with Audrey (who's actually 23! I’m not joking. Also, I totally regret making that Jim and Audrey video I did back in December 😬) and Wendy (who is 12-13 years old) and remade the part with this ship instead. I apologize for not being careful about that before. I try to be these days, but I will be MORE cautious about characters’ ages from here on out. I also put Audrey in the 2D girls list instead of the young 2D girls list. Special thanks to Ajotma for informing me about the ages!
Moving on. Once again, I relied on random.org to decide what characters to use, and I'm so happy I got Melody this time! She's one of my favorite characters (total contrast to her mom, who’s my least fave character IMO, but it’s cool if you’re an Ariel fan though! No judgment here), so it felt good to use her again after so many years. And I had previously used these two back in 2012, but that had a friendship gone wrong theme and was terribly edited. STORYTIME! (spoilers ahead):
-Melody and Alice are best friends. Alice is out as a lesbian, but Melody’s in the closet as a she/they bisexual. Because of this, Alice gets bullied while Melody doesn’t do anything out of fear of being targeted too since she gets teased enough for being weird. After some reflecting, Melody decides to come out during her birthday party by asking their crush, Alice, to share a birthday dance with them, which she happily accepts! Eventually, Mel will formally come out to her peers, and will help defend Alice against their homophobic bullies. FIN! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
EDIT 3/3/22: Since Ariel’s in this mep, I headcanon she and Eric aren’t together. He’s a close friend that happens to be Melody’s surrogate father.

STORYTIME!:
-Ting Ting is a total lesbian disaster over her friend/crush, Tiana. She can't focus on reading her book, & she's now unable to visit Tia at work without getting flustered.
-During a party, Ting Ting sees Tiana alone at a balcony and walks up to her to question what's wrong. Tiana admits that she's really missed seeing Ting Ting visit her during her shifts and admits to having a crush on her, even though she believes Ting Ting doesn't feel the same way. Ting Ting is ecstatic and says the crush is reciprocated. There's also 2 flashbacks of the girls meeting each other & bonding with Ting Ting putting up a facade on Tia.
-We end with Tiana being happy that her girlfriend's finally arrived to dine in at the restaurant she's working at!

Welcome to my first ever mystery mep I'm hosting! I was originally gonna use a totally different song with a 16+ theme, but I changed my mind after realizing there's a Little Miss Perfect mep, but NOT one for this specific song! It's also about time I host a sapphic mep after not hosting one on this channel for almost a decade!

Theme: Girl A is conflicted between pursuing a relationship with her best friend/crush (aka Girl B) and living a miserable heteronormative life. Which choice is she going to take? That's up to you!

RULES:
-I'll be choosing editors.

-1 part per person on both volumes.

It’s been 84 years since I did an mep part with this pair, especially one that’s for V-day. Gotta say that I'm so happy with how this turned out! Editing this was a literal serotonin boost. I can always count on this comfort otp to lift my spirits. :3 Although I did struggle with finding the scenes and backgrounds I wanted to use. The starting scene wasn't even a part of the original process! I had two different beginnings to it only to change it to the RLS Legacy scene due to not being satisfied with the previous ones. I hope y'all enjoy Jayley being precious while adventuring together in the springtime! :D

STORYTIME! (Spoilers ahead):
-Mulan enters her friend, Eric's, castle to visit while donning a new haircut, which Eric notices and loves!
-While their friendship grows, Mulan realizes she's falling in love with Eric. She is both unsure how to handle it & really wants to do something about it.
-When she finally decides she wants to confess her feelings, Mulan sees that Eric is betrothed to another woman, leaving Mulan heartbroken & abruptly going back to China.
-A month later, Mulan tries to move on from Eric (but fails) by going through with her own arranged marriage. As the marriage is about to be sealed, someone crashes the wedding by throwing a shuriken, and it's none other than the not-married Prince Eric! Eric tells Mulan he didn't go through with his arranged marriage because he's in love with and wants to marry Mulan instead, which gets a lot of cheering from the audience! (Minus Lord Qin & Prince Jeeki, but who cares what they think? xD)
-In the end, we see Mulan and Eric celebrating their 1st Christmas together as a married couple. FIN! :D P.S. Eric has total bi wife energy here.
Side note: I made a WME for the last manip, but I deleted the file due to making several changes after recording it. I’m always changing my mind, which is why I didn’t record any other ones for this series.

This is both the prequel & sequel to my previous video with them, so I recommend watching this first if you haven't, or if you want a recap. And yes, these two are in lesbians with each other. That’s my headcanons on them.

-The judge's niece goes out for a walk only to stumble upon a beautiful dancer. The dancer abruptly leaves out of fear from being arrested, but Meg makes sure to leave extra tips for the woman (off screen).
-Over a year later, Esmeralda wakes Meg up to tell her it's their anniversary since they started dating. While Meg is happy about the news, there's a part of her that wonders if she really should've run away with Esme from her homophobic uncle Frollo. After remembering their first date, Meg looks up the window to see a singing Esmeralda. Meg gets over her inner doubts & realizes she did the right thing and still loves her girlfriend.
-The video ends with another few years passing by where the girls married each other and had a baby of their own! (Note: Esmeralda has a brother named Tulio, who volunteered to be the surrogate father while Meg was the carrier of her daughter.)

-I always wanted to potentionally host an mep with this song, & I had nostalgic feels & flashbacks of watching the music video on my old TLM DVD & on Disney Channel because of listening to this song again! This is my 3rd time editing a crossover with these two together, my 2nd video of them being a couple, & my 2nd video of Kayley & Pocahontas together, with them being in a healthy friendship (and better edited video) this time around! :D We stan healthy girl friendships and one of them supporting their lesbian friend in this household. (Although I regret contributing to the POC only existing to aid the white person trope) originally wanted to incorporate Nani/Pocahontas & Hercules/Quasimodo being the gay friends that are done with their friends being gay disasters for each other & trying to get them to make a move, but I was losing inspiration on this real fast (thanks depression), so I had to scrap that plan. -I had to tweak the story a bit, but still tried to stay committed to the idea, so I hope it's okay! Anyway, when I saw that this was one of the new requested pairings after not being able to take the original idea, I KNEW I had to take it. I just love Quasimodo, friendships, and this duo! This was exactly what I needed after being requested nothing but romances. I did have technical issues with a freezing mouse, SV crashing, & being forced to redo the Phoebus mask on the thumbnail before I could save it, but I still had fun working on this. STORYTIME! (Spoilers ahead):
-Quasimodo gets called to join the stage, only to feel scared about everyone's reactions to him. Phoebus is in the crowd, worried and getting ready to defend his best friend, but Clopin handles everything by giving Quasi a crown! The guys are both happy about it.
-Later that night, Phoebus tells Quasimodo that he has to leave France again as part of his job as a soldier, and probably won't be able to return this time. Quasi lashes out in anger and fear by saying it's best for him to go now, which also upsets Phoebus.
-After some thinking, Quasimodo decides he wants to travel with Phoebus this time. So, he ends up stopping Phoebus from leaving to say he's going with him. Phoebus says he'll make room for him & let everyone else know. The rest is history. :)

-Contrast with yesterday's video, this is actually the LAST video request I made! It probably would've been more fitting to save this for the 23rd or 24th, especially since this is the longest one from the rest of the series, but the decision is final. Anyway, this is the 5th time this song made an appearance on this channel (and I ain't mad. I still love it), and it's my first time using Mr. Cale Tucker! STORYTIME! (Spoilers ahead):
-Aladdin heads to his secret hideaway to reflect on his life with husband, Cale, and being sure that he's ready to be a dad.
-Elsewhere, Cale also does some reflecting of his life, only he's conflicted at the idea of fatherhood. But after some thinking and remembering his husband on their wedding day, Cale makes up his mind and leaves to find and talk to Aladdin.
-One sunny turned rainy day, Cale tells Al that he not only suggests they gotta head to shelter, but that he's ready to start a family with him!
-One year later, they're still happily in love with each other, and also happy to finally have their adopted baby girl, Odette, home.

-The Rose Prince Derek meets the Moon Princess Cinderella at a ball, & they have a dance together, as well as conversating with each other off screen.
-As morning nears, the princess tells her prince that she has to leave once the moon sets, which saddens said prince.

Anyway, considering the panorama happened, I ended up leaving this channel again thinking I wouldn't come back. But since September of this year, I returned here again! This year turned out to be a wild one for mostly (emphasis on mostly) good reasons! STORYTIME! (Spoilers ahead):
-The royal advisor, Prudence, & ladies in waiting, Beatrice & Daphne (welcome to the channel btw ladies!), knock on the prince's door as his wake up call to start his tasks. The three of them, especially Prudence, aren't amused to know that he stayed up late again for no reason, according to them. 👀
-We go through a montage of the prince, Jim, not following the rules. From refusing to dress like a royal, to wishing to open the curtains, to not picking the right color, etc.
-During one royal ball, Prudence introduces Jim to his soon to be wife, Princess Ariel. Obviously, that's the last straw for Jim, so he runs out of the ballroom. Everyone is left aghast.
-Outside his balcony, Jim is happy to see his secret vampire boyfriend, Tulio, show up again. This time, Jim confesses that he's ready to leave his life behind to be with Tulio, which makes him really happy! The rest of the story is up to your interpretation now. :)
Here's my headcanons on the boys' sexualities for this video only:
Jim- Gay. He's also 19.
Tulio- Bisexual (I love the "All vampires are bi" theory, & he's got them "canonically" bi vibes anyway!). He's also 21, so no creepy age difference goin' on here!

1st off, we love an automatically perfect thumbnail. 2nd, I know I was supposed to stick to a wedding theme, but I was struggling to be married to the idea (pun intended). P.S. Personal note: Yesterday aka 11-22-2021 as I’m typing this, I got the news that I've been begging to figure out for several years. I'm happy and relieved to know that I not only am actually disabled, but that I’ll be getting SSI for it! If you've been reading my lengthy descriptions over the years, I've brought up my mental issues before & how they put a huge toll on me & my editing. What I didn't bring up is that I've also been affected on never officially knowing I'm not neurotypical because of ableism (I know neurodiversity isn't a disability, but still), even when I did grow up in full to partial special ed. As of now, I have yet to actually see my diagnosis on what I have, but it's better than being left in the dark for so long.
EDIT 12/15/21: I got my 1st disability check yesterday and couldn’t be more happy & grateful for it! I’ve been using it to treat myself & finally Christmas shop for some of my relatives! 😁 Still don’t know the answers to my disabilities tho.

-Oh man, I could go on a full rant over what kind of and how much trouble I had while making this video (which is why this one is sadly the shortest video in this series), but nobody cares about that, so I'll make this note short. While I'm not a big fan of this couple and won’t use them together again (do you know how hard it is to come up with new manips for an overused couple?) or love their respective movies like I used to (excluding Return to Neverland. That's a cinematic masterpiece, sue me. Also, I can’t watch PP without cringing over the racist portrayals of indigenous people), it was fun using these characters again after 8 years! I also had fun making this too despite the problems I had behind the scenes! It’s actually one of my personal favorites from this series. -I got the idea of making these kind of videos from Pastard’s XMC series when I first saw it two years ago, and I’m happy I can finally start doing my own take of this for y’all! Anyway, I didn't think I'd ever make a video where I'd had to do more Beast masks, finally use Marina for a crossover, & that I'd actually ship them together, but those things have officially happened! When I requested this couple, I wasn't going to edit with them. My 1st plan was to work with Adult Ariel/Adult Wendy, but I couldn't find the inspo to use them, & it didn't help that Adult Wendy had VERY little scenes in RTN. I will make a plan to actually use them one day though when the time calls. My next plan was Tiana/Silver, but Marina/Beast just kept calling me like the ocean called Moana, so I changed my mind! Plus I didn't want to miss my opportunity to use a song from my queen MARINA for Marina. xD I do wish I could've done more with this pair (especially after not using any of my own Marina masks), but I hope you guys enjoy this! STORYTIME! (Spoilers ahead):
-Beast attends his first party to reunite with his friend, Marina (yes, I had to take the friends to lovers route instead to fit my idea better). She's excited to see him again after not seeing him since she sailed the seas. Marina introduces Beast to her good friend/ex fiance, Proteus. She also asks if she can privately talk to him, which confuses him.
-At the balcony, Marina tells Beast that she plans to continue sailing on her own instead of going with a crew. Beast ends up confessing that he doesn't want her to go because he's in love with her, even though he's aware it's a selfish thing for him to think, & considering she's not looking for love after her past relationships with Proteus & Sinbad ended, and of course, he's also his insecure self. In the end, Marina also admits to reciprocating her feelings to Beast & actually wants him to travel the seas with her, which he happily accepts! So the moral of the story is that they both have to believe in their love for each other.

Whew, this was one hell of a video to make. I had been working on this since August 2020 with the intention of releasing this in New Year's Eve 2021, but I ended up losing so many of my files when I tried to transfer it to my new laptop this February, including all the files in this specific video. You can only imagine how pissed off I was at myself for doing that. Since then, I decided to give this another shot & restarted working on it last month. While this isn't perfectly flawless by any means (especially the very last manip), I'm so happy I can finally show this to y'all! For so long, I was struck with the inspiration to do my own take of this song by making it an actual crossover with a consistent cast. No shade to everyone else who's done their own versions of this song though! I hope you enjoy this!

I don't know if this person will be watching this video, or if they ever figured it out on their own, or if they even have SV, but I'll still post this anyway 'cause it could help someone else out there! This is how I deal with red (and other colors that aren't green) backgrounds for character masks in this program. This can also be done in AE too. There should be other tutorials on how to do this with After Effects, but I'm up to showing y'all how to do it if requested! :)

Watch Me Mask #1: Anastasia Tremaine

TheQuietWeirdo17 2021-09-26 | Possible motion sickness warning! This goes by really fast, especially towards the end of the video! The reason for that is because I had to stop the first recording to take a break, and it was almost 35 minutes long.

I'd like to try to make this a side series on this channel, so if you're interested in seeing more watch me mask videos, let me know! This is also slowly trying to ease myself to eventually start doing watch me edits and how to tutorials, but it's not guaranteed to actually happen, so don't get your hopes up! Anyway, I actually did this mask of her last year before the panini happened, but I ended up losing EVERYTHING when I tried to transfer my Non/Disney stuff and 98% of my personal stuff, including my high school graduation photos and videos, to my "new" hand-me-down laptop I was given early this year. That's one of the main reasons I remained inactive. So now, I'm going out of my way to redo all the masks I intended to give away last year, including this one, so wish me luck on that!

TheQuietWeirdo17 2020-07-05 | Please don't sass me by pointing out that it isn't the 4th of July anymore. It WAS throughout the entire day that I was editing this rushed mess. I really wanted to upload this yesterday, but I ran out of time, so never rush your art, folks. Anyway, I wish I could say I'm coming back, but I'm not going to be anytime soon, or maybe not ever. Burnout, mental health struggles, losing all my movies from my over 6 year old laptop due to storage problems, second lockdown because Texas prematurely opened up too early, learning I have a relative (and possibly more) that has COVID 19, and general world issues have really brought me down. Thank you all for taking the time to watch my average content I put up throughout the years I was here whether it's silently watching my videos to leaving comments to even dedicating stuff to me, which I STILL don't deserve that kind of generosity!
