Sight Casting BIG Fish from Manta Rays!! Fishing the GBR Ft Jonny Brooks Rowan Le Sueur 2018-09-21 | This was my first time ever fishing the Great Barrier Reef!! Went on a quick strike mission up north with a mate Jonny and the legend Clint. The weather decided to get significantly worse than was forecast (seems to be a re-occurring event when ever I go fishing now hahaha) What was thought to be a quick hour boat ride out to the reef turned into 2 hours of bone rattling chop and spray hahahah however, was all made worth it as soon as we got our lures in the water! Watching the Cobia come out form underneath the Manta Ray in 5m of crystal clear water over reef flats was pretty bloody spectacular!!! One of the coolest things I have witnessed! Won't be forgetting that anytime soon! Overall some nice fish landed from biiiiig GT and Spanish Mackerel to smaller reef species!Huge thanks to Clint and Brooksy for taking me out and putting me onto some fish! Unexpected Golden Trevally!! Island Camping & Fishing Trip Rowan Le Sueur 2018-09-01 | This was a crazy week of fishing and camping out on an island... was a pretty big mission! Mikey and I decided to take a week off work and head north in search of some big fish! We got dropped out on and island by the legend Shane with a couple rods each and our swags!!The Island was mental with some super fishy looking ledges! We went North with a pretty good weather forecast and were really pumped for the week ahead! Unfortunately after out first night we woke up to windy conditions and a completely new weather forecast... 20-30kt+ winds blowing all week... directly into the tips we were hoping to fish! This left us with no choice but to stick to fishing the shallower headlands and protected reef zones, these areas still produces some decent fish including my first Golden Trevally! Super Rare BLUEFIN TREVALLY Caught Rock Fishing for Pelagics !! Rowan Le Sueur 2018-05-25 | Really surprised and super stoked that I was able to catch a Bluefin Trevally in this part of Australia, I may be wrong but I've never heard of one being caught around here! Was caught on a Jackson Pintail Tune that I was using in the hope to hook a Spanish Mackerel... Went on quite a few fishing missions this week and had some biiig hits from probable Jew Fish and a small GT! Rock Fishing for BIG Bluefin TUNA Ft Cavy Fishing!! Snapped Rod!! Rowan Le Sueur 2018-05-11 | Frothing sooooo hard on this! First tuna of the season for me and the fellas I fish with! Heapsss of hours put into sessions which didn't produce anything until now haha! Really late first tuna this year, mainly because of not being able to fish the better months due to big swell, heavy rain and bad weather which kept dirty water in close to the rocks. Very lucky that the rod snapped when it did as the fish was already being washed up by the wave, otherwise may not have landed it!! DEEP Powder Skiing Around Japan! 1.2 Meters of Snow Overnight!! Rowan Le Sueur 2018-03-14 | Skiing some of the worlds best powder snow. Spent 2 of the best months ever skiing, hiking and partying around Japan, visiting Myoko Kogen, Niseko, Furano, Tomamu, Kiroro, Asahi-Dake, Iwanai and Rusutsu! We got super lucky this season and seemed to bring the snow with us where ever we ventured, having multiple 'best days of the season' with over a meter of snow over night haha! Some days with no new snow on the forecast freak storms would blow through dumping 50cm in hours. Did some big hikes, exploring new zones and finding some pretty rad terrain. This was my first Longtail Tuna (Northern Bluefin Tuna) ever landed... it was pretty special as I'd been chasing these fish for over a year with none landed.
