Robert Taylor DOES comedy! filmfreak222 2013-05-27 | A collection of some of my favorite moments with a young Robert Taylor in the 1930s (and one from 1941) and his - in my opinion, very successful - take on the comedy genre before he embarked upon a more serious, subdued genre. Sadly, not all of his early films are available here, and I would so have liked to add another scene from "Personal Property" (1937), a personal favorite of mine, where he acts butler for Jean Harlow's character and receives some very hilarious guests, which he also impersonates... well, you'll just have to see it (if you happen to come across it)! ;) Hope you'll enjoy!Fun fact: Taylor was an excellent horseman (as you may have witnessed from his ton of Westerns), which makes the scenes with the horse from "Remember?" I've tried to capture her more melancholy side opposed to the first, more cheerful part, though her expressions are so changeable and layered it's hard to distinguish between them. Even when she's happy, there's a certain heartbreaking honesty about her. It may have something to do with my unquestionable, blind love for her, but I simply cannot recall a single moment where she displays anything remotely feigned or factitious. Can you?PS.
