Indiana learning to read through the years rory feek 2024-01-17 | Joey was reading to Indy in her tummy before she was even born. And not long after, she was on her mama's lap turning pages as Joey read. Indy started learning sign language before she was one, and picked it up quickly. She was talking in her two's, and by the time she was three or four, learning to sight read a few words. By five and six, she was sounding words out and actually reading from a series of little Bob books that Ms Rebecca at the schoolhouse had given us. Soon after came Dick & Jane, then the Little House books and on and on. THE TIME IVE WASTED rory feek 2023-12-05 | One person's creativity, mixed with another person's creativity, who have never even met, often can create something neither one of them might have made on their own..."Dear devices, You have become a huge part of my life and the lives of everyone around me. You fill my every-waking thoughts and I constantly reach out for you, checking to see if you're still there, and that you still like me. It's as if you've tapped into my soul and know what I'm thinking—know what I'm feeling inside—even before I do. At night, I lay awake thinking of you. Wondering what I ever did without you. What life would be like if I didn't have you. If I could make it. If anyone could. Every day, I try to push you away, but you pull me back. Honor Thy Song rory feek 2023-11-20 | In October 2012, the Nashville songwriting community lost friend and songwriter Tim Johnson. An “Honor Thy Song” concert was be held at the Ryman Auditorium in Johnson’s honor on May 7. The event was designed with a dual purpose–a tribute concert and a large song pitch session. More than a dozen hit songwriters and artists performed some of Johnson’s best unrecorded songs, in hopes of getting some of his songs recorded as a lasting legacy for Johnson’s wife and children. The event featured Joey+Rory, Daryle Singletary, Rob Crosby, Marc Beeson, Brett Jones, Joe West, Will Robinson, Jamie Houston, Jimmy Wayne, and James Dean Hicks among others.

9/21/2023 - This Week on the Farm - (moving turkeys, cabin, homemade pasta & more) rory feek 2023-09-22 | It seems like the weeks are flying by and before this one gets away from us, we decided to try to capture and share a few of our favorite moments from this week around the farm: - the schoolhouse kiddos, Ms Rebecca, Chef Patty and everyone helped move the turkeys from the movable shelters to a larger open area. - we made some progress on getting the foundation set the Writer's cabin that the Dougherty boys from Ohio made out of oak timber-frame at the Festival this past June. - Mikel's hard at work on editing the first few episodes of the new season of Muletown In The Round that will debut this December on RFD-TV.- We moved Millie the milk cow from the big barn on the other side of the farm to the school livestock barn.- and Chef Patty showed the children at school how to make pasta by hand. hardisonmill.com
