SMARTPHONE MICROPHONE! (EP.298) theC47 2024-10-09 | In this episode I answer a question about what mic I use when recording episodes of "The Daily Drop" on my iPhone 15 Pro. TESTING DOUBLE NETS! (EP.268) theC47 2024-08-28 | In part two of my exploration of double nets I do tests with three products using both an ambient light meter and a color meter. It's a long episode but I think there's some good stuff in this one that at 2X playback speed might be worth a watch!NOTE: I have just received the second shipment of the double nets from CineGearFactory through B&H and these do have elastic corners (unlike the first shipment), but there is still a very noticeable seam about 2 feet into both the black and white double nets which will be visible on camera if placing the whole thing behind talent to slow down backgrounds. iPhone MagSafe Selfie-Tripod (EP.265) theC47 2024-08-23 | I have started to use the iPhone 15 Pro as my main camera to shoot episodes of "The Daily Drop when on the road. It has a 4K front facing camera and with enough available light can definitely do the job. The only issue is the field of view is generally a bit too narrow when handholding the camera so I wanted a selfie/tripod/magsafe combo that would be flexible enough for what I needed. After much trail and error, this is what I wound up with.
