It was given away with issue #198 of Hip Hop Connection Magazine, March 2006. HHC was a UK hip hop magazine that ran from July 1988 - 2009. Blade is an MC based in the UK. Born in the Armenian quarter of Iran, he came to London aged 7. Within months of arriving, he felt the effect of the Islamic revolution back home. Unable to send money out of the country, Blade’s family could no longer support him. So, with no money, no family, alone in a strange country, his self-reliance and determination were all he had to see him through. The microphone, the studio and the stage provided his only release. 1989 saw Blade’s first release. Marshall McLuhan The Medium Is The Massage Deluxe Medium CD Re-issue Music ARKives LTD. 2011-12-05 | When Marshall McLuhan proposed his idea to create an audio companion piece to the landmark 1967 book (co-created by graphic designer Quentin Fiore & coordinated by Jerome Agel); The Medium is the Massage, no one quite knew what to expect. The book itself brilliantly captured McLuhan's theories on media and technology, arguing that the medium by which information is transferred to people was more important then the actual content being relayed. He hoped that an audio recording would help give greater depth to his theories, and in the late 1960s, McLuhan along with Jerome Agel and producer John Simon went to work on a record of the same name. Using audio clips of McLuhan speaking, often interrupted by discordant sounds and other voices interjecting, they created a thought-provoking, sometimes whimsical patchwork of sounds and ideas that illustrated the complex relationship between people, media and technology.
