Eating competition at Spark Unlimited.
No clue what's the cause of it, I checked a lot of versions, and concluded it affects starting from 1.7 (starting from 13w41a) up to 1.12.2. The immediate next 1.13 snapshot (17w43a) and onward is unaffected, same with 13w39b and earlier (1.6.4 and before.)
Some of the textures temporarily got fixed due to me toggling 3D Anaglyph, but it breaks shortly after.
It certainly can't be anything on my computer causing it, as I had **just** gotten new drives 2 days ago, so I am on a completely fresh install of Windows 10, latest version of Java and all.
Song ripped from the PS3 version due to it suffering the least amount of compression artifacts.
Additional information gained after this video was published:
The skyboxes seen in this video are most likely incorrect. Patching TLIST.BIN to natively index RK_21 as valid a track will give a proper skybox, which is more or less the same one as seen in the loading screen at the start.
The tracks actual name seen with a patched TLIST is just STEELTOWN.
The Reverse track is an older version of this track and the biggest clue to this is the fact that it uses the same sun as Burnout Revenge.
And the PSP version has an even earlier and more incomple version of this track.

Original description:
The internal track names are extremely confusing, and if it weren't for The Shotty asking for me to make a comprehensive track name list for Revenge and Dominator, I never would've noticed that there is one folder too many.
These unused variants are tracks RK_21_V1 and RK_21_V2. It's meant to be a long variant for the Steel Town tracks. Also far more detailed than the used short Steeltown Works variant. These two tracks are also not defined in TLIST.BIN, meaning EA UK didn't simply forget to include this track in a World Tour event which would then make it available in Record Breaker too.
0:00 Forward variant (RK_21_V1)
8:25 Reverse variant (RK_21_V2)
Context: This was recorded on December 20, 2020 when I hosted a Minecraft server on b1.8.1 for a couple friends, completely forgetting about the bug where every single XP orb you've collected is dropped upon death (and doubled too, maybe? I had experienced this same thing way back then too, when I played on a LAN server with my cousin on this same version.) I died once already on that same day which rendered the server unusable for 20 minutes while I picked up all the orbs, but then this 2nd death of mine killed it for SEVEN HOURS!
Shortly after I upgraded it to release 1.0 and found myself with 858 levels (and I'm pretty sure half of the levels had despawned so this probably isn't even the total amount.)
There were also a couple other annoying things about b1.8.1 such as shift-clicking in a full chest crashing the entire server which was just fun :^)
Also, Final Showdown in winter gives off some strong Max Payne 1 vibes, IMO.
and yes this is filler content that no one asked for, hush
I used a custom patched .XBE I made which adds a MOV byte ptr[dword $001FED8F],$80 instruction before RET at $00013F67 to have every zone and character unlocked, which makes my life slightly easier.

This build is has some significant performance issues, as was the case for many, MANY early PS3-lifecycle games since it was so incredibly difficult to program for it and most developers just opted to simply porting from a different platform onto the PS3, without utilising any of the unique special capabilities it had. Along with the performance issues, there are a couple audiovisual bugs too.
While this game runs in 720p, I decided to double the resolution up to 1440p using FFmpeg with Lanczos. Initially I wanted to use Nearest, but that I think would've ended up looking bad in the long run. Hopefully this mitigates YouTubes increasingly stronger compression on lower resolution videos. (Modifying PARAM.SFO to allow 1080p only partially worked for the menus, it would immediately crash the moment I went in-game, likely because of failing to allocate enough VRAM)
Thanks to JustAnyone for helping me with a couple things such as PS3 HDD recovery and so on.
All in all, this was way more successful of an April Fools joke than I had initially expected.

Also just beware that if you're gonna be playing this game on hardware PS2 like I did with the debug options (assuming OPL + PS2RD), the debug camera alone should do just fine as long as Mode 2 is enabled, but if you add the other two codes mentioned on the TCRF page in the mix (that are also used in this video), this unstable and buggy game will crash like 98% of the time trying to boot into the 2nd dedicated ELF for playing the initial movies. This does not affect emulators and should always run and play properly!
Personally disliked the game, as did almost everybody else on this planet, but this is still kinda neat to just be able to look at all the minor things around the environments.
!! EVERYTHING BELOW THIS CONTAINS LIKELY USELESS PERSONAL NOTES !!
There's multiple reasons why this video exists, and wasn't only to just showcase these options. My main reason was I wanted to see if my current component capture card still would randomly freeze for brief periods. Another one was to test how well I can upscale, deinterlace and render videos using FFmpeg. The source video looks decent, but we'll see how it turns out after YouTube's compression has taken over. As for my capture card freezing, FFmpeg in the end reported a total of 130 duplicate frames. While one could assume those frames could've come from the loading screens being mostly static images, the duplicate frame count would've been way higher, which, for the most part, it sat at a very small amount of duplicate frames until closing in on the end where it shot up to 80, 90, 100 and so on until 130. (To put into perspective that's a total of 5 seconds of the entire 31 minute recording being duplicate frames.) One more reason was to see how well Audacity's noise reduction works. This capture card for some reason boosts the background static-y noise to incredible amounts of volume if there's no other sound, which affected the loading screens terribly, and that's only if i use my old composite capture card to capture the audio. The component capture card's audio recording is even worse, as in it amplifies the background hum AT ALL TIMES, making any sound recording done with it absolutely useless. Not to mention the audio is often delayed by like 5 seconds with the component capture card. Oh and the colors are oversaturated which is a problem with this component capture card as well...
TL;DR I need an entirely new capture setup lol.

Update 2: It can also be enabled on the Wii version! tcrf.net/The_Sims_2:_Castaway_(PlayStation_2,_Wii)/Developer_Options#enable_new_main_menu

I was messing with a few debugging options left in the retail version of The Sims 2 Console, tried getting them to work on the EUR version, succeeded, then tried seeing if I could apply similar methods onto Castaway, and very much to my surprise, discovered an unused Main Menu, where the background scenery keeps changing constantly. Why this ended up not being used, we may never know.

I tried recording PCSX2 in 8k60 about a year ago, but it just crashed almost immediately. Now I actually somewhat succeeded! The emulator was running mostly at about 0.70-0.95fps during recording, so it took me almost a full hour to record this. Playing just about anything at that framerate would've been quite difficult + the inputs felt massively delayed too. I'm surprised I got 3 takedowns at all (4th one was intentional to see how well the crashbreakers looked. Managed to fit that in just in time, as I ran out of disk space shortly after that.) I wanted to record a bit more, but I didn't have enough space on my HDD, this single 45s recording took up 225GB of space, going at about 5GB per second, at almost 4 million kbps bitrate. I did reencode it afterwards with ffmpeg into lossless libx265, which took 5 hours on its own, and at least reduced the size to 15.6GB, but still, lol.
Original video bitrate: 39611648kbps raw uncompressed avi (reduced to 2716304kbps after reencoding to hevc/libx265)
Original audio bitrate: 1536kbps uncompressed wav pcm (converted to ogg and reduced to 499kbps, because ffmpeg didn't like it)
In total I spent about 14 hours of my life on this, including preparation and messing with settings, recording, reencoding, uploading and then processing by yt.

What a game, eh? At first I disliked it because of the Supercharge boosting, but over time as I played more, I started to enjoy it more and more as well.

The quality on this video is lower than the rest because I played this at 60Hz, which favours better response time over resolution.
