It isn't clear where the frame in 16"10 was saved, it could be either the pipe thing or the faster wall clip, or maybe even something completely different, but that's unlikely at this point.I decided to encode using jabo with some janky settings because dithering on Direct64 looks awful with ghost hack, I tried using the noise dither which is a bit better but it looked bad anyway (and you can't just force the transparent mode). Also this version of ghost hack is weird and doesn't keep the timer running during box cutscene so it will show wrong time at the end.About 13k rr

Faster fastest crash in BoB Madghostek 2021-01-24 | When mario stands inside camera (more precisely when focus point is exactly where camera is) game crashes, most likely because of division by 0 somewhere in rendering process. You could say mario... crashes into lakitu.This can be done in all courses, the fastest from game start would be VCutM, which most likely is faster than current crash% record (it takes about 5 seconds from gaining control of mario to crash) (Update, I forgot there's this faster way youtube.com/watch?v=xjejXvvzDjo.) Can this be done even faster? Maybe without fixed cam? What if sm64 cloning wasnt broken Madghostek 2020-10-07 | After reading koopatroopa125's comment under this video youtu.be/sd3Lg5qgTzw (smash that like button btw), I started wondering why cloning behaves like it does, namely objects becoming zombies. Here's some more info:When mario grabs/throws/drops an object, game at some point calls a function responsible for updating object's state related to these actions. The function takes a behaviour script pointer as an argument, however it always is one of fake behaviours, possibly just to uniquely tell the actions apart. What's interesting is that there's an additional else statement intended for objects that aren't holdable in the first place. Such object when thrown or dropped (you can't grab ungrabbable object, cloning allows to hold it though), gets it's behaviour pointer set to the dummy pointer that was passed to the function, and the object stops working. This is the decompiled function taken from sm64 decomp project, here labbeled as "obj_set_held_state" :cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/683289081119375434/763474116748640286/unknown.pngSo what's even the point of this code? Well I was curious too and edited the else statement out, this video shows what happens. Most of the objects start behaving more logically, some get broken even more, but generally it seems better (I haven't checked every single object). Objects move to holp, and usually continue to function as intended, unless it's position is important for the behaviour (that's probably why chain piece crashes instantly). Rematch with koopa the quick attempt Madghostek 2020-05-22 | Ghost is 120 star tas (4 frames forward in time since there were some improvements before warp), this tas saves 3 frames, however I didn't tas it to the end because it requires koopa manipulation which I don't know much about... it should save time in terms of whole star (definitely not full 3 frames) or at least allow for more options. The save mainly comes from getting displacement from the sign next to koopa, which allows to fix weird landing 120 star tas did.I also showed an alternatlive version where mario does the kick when timestop starts, this cancels dust frames on landing and gives much more speed later, however it is still 1f slower (maybe improvable?) because worse angle at kick and you have to drop the speed at the end anyway.
Cannonless + bomb clip same input Madghostek 2020-05-15 | Synced to first nonwhite frame because there's 1VI more at BOB loading compared to WF. Shows that now it's possibe to make very precise same input TASes. This can be optimised even more but I didn't intend to max it.

There are lots of mistakes:•shitty grind at the beginning that ends in the middle and goes into speedkick - I should have extended it so mario goes through the fence (I did it with speedkick a bit)•Awful landing on thwomp by diving to coin - omg I'm simply dumb, you can just fall to the coin with slightly better angle•BLJ too low so I had to avoid piranha plant from the other side - if thwomp had risen a bit before mario would be able to land on the floor directly•Possible better way to go to the star by hitting the fence and diving instead of slowing down then jumping - not big deal but probably costs some framesOverall I lost around whole second, Nis' entry (2nd place) is pretty much perfect example how my route should look like.

[TAS] My first successful PU movement Madghostek 2017-08-23 | I managed to do very simple PU movement! This doesn't speedrun anything,I just wanted to try it out.It isn't very complicated because I do almost everything on one axis.At first I wanted to enter house from PU ,but then I realised that lowermost floor was at 207 units,and elevator goes up to 0 units,that means I won't be able to go that high (without more complex Overflow Jump).Here is what I do:-I BLJ on elevator to get QPU speed and some more.With this I will move 4 PUs away and a little bit (distance from elevator to wall near house)-I AB kick up elevator without losing much speed,then I punch to decerase my speed to around QPU+5000.After this I turn around at angle 49 (it gets rounded to 48) so I move at one axis to QPU and a little bit to right-I end up in PU exactly near the wall where I wanted.Then I punch again to decerase my speed to QPU speed,so my relative position won't change after going back to main map-I turn around to angle 32768 (backwards to 0) and I come back to main map.I press Z at first frame to reset my speed to 0,otherwise I would move again and again and again 500+ PUs away X)It isn't that hard lmao.Feel free to ask me questions!
